its same thing
ask the guy,we had a chat on whatsapp, and we did the same thing, though he asked for how to find those of 29,54,87 etc and i told him I can only solve the important angles like,0,30,45,60,90.

I never used decimal

moreover, you didn't show how you got yours, so I could learn too,
am here to learn
Hi Boyejo123. I want to say something upfront. I have very high regards for your intelligence and the spirit of sharing your knowledge. That is comendable. Please put it at the back of your mind that we are NOT competing. Here, we should learn from one another.

Having said that, I know they are the same thing, but one is more straightforward and simpler than the on other one.
For example this is what you gave:
sin30=√1/√4
√1 = 1 and √4 = 2. Essentially you are saying that Sin 30 = 1/2 and that tallies with what I gave. The important thing, however, one is much simpler, isn't it?. If you read my post, I said you were complicating things. I never said you were wrong.

Furthermore I gave Sin 45 = 1/√2 but is it not the same as sin45=√2/√4 which you gave? And you gave sin60=√3/√4 but it is the same as √3/2.

Those 'special angles' are those that can be given as direct fractions. Other angles cannot be be given as fractions except only as decimals

PHYSICS.
This is Live Jamb question.

A car accelerates uniformly from rest at 4m/s^2(4 meters per second squared). How far will it travel in the fifth complete second?

This question looks simple but really demanding.

Please I need explanations.
Your comment made me feel very unsure of the question and my little ability in Physics. The question looks so simple that I can't see anything demanding in it. You are to calculate the distance covered in the fifth minute. I think the simplest way to do this is calculate how much distance S5 is covered in 5 minutes, calculate how much distance S4 is covered in 4 minutes. Then subtract the two. So here we go
Using 2nd equation of motion S = ut + 1/2at2, we first calculate how much distance is covered in 5 minutes.
S5 = 0*5 + 1/2*4*5*5 (since it accelerates from rest u the initial velocity is 0, a= 4 and t = 5) = 50 m
S4 = 0*4 + 1/2*4*4*4 (t=4) = 32 m
So the distance covered in the 5th second = distance covered in 5 minutes - distance covered in 4 minutes = 50-32 = 18 m

Actually I had the intention of showing this. However, it isn't as important as knowing the values. I will give the proof as soon as I am done with solving the example I gave

Hope it is clear without further explanation. Note that to remove the square root 3 at the denominator, we need to multiply both the numerator and denominator by square root 3

Overtones are whole number multiples of the fundamental frequency. So I don't think this particular question demands any elaborate workings.

5seconds...4seconds.....if it was minutes you will have to convert to seconds before using the formulas and that would give you a wrong answer in all.

just passing by....nice work!!!

Gud pm everybody, how is studies.

I hope we are really burning the candles.

I hope we are not carried away by this yuletide season. Remember some wounded aspirants are busy digging deep even with the fact that we are in celebration season.

For those aspiring for BDS, MBBS, LLB, engineering courses, you got more work to do. You are not just competing with a large population of aspirants, you are competing with the best of the best students from all secondary school in Nigeria.

As you study, also have it at the back of your mind that you are also competing with undergraduate who don't like the course they are studying making the competition scary.

I wish everyone all the best.

You can make reference to the first page of this thread. I've started posting one or two things on the spaces I booked which I'm sure will be of great benefit in preparing for 2018 UTME.

Thanks for the helpful comment. I noticed the error later and had the intention of correcting it. However, I think anybody who is following the logic would have seen it. If you look at the question properly, it said the fifth sec. And from the working, if it had been 5 minutes, conversion would have been necessary.
This part of the statement
So the distance covered in the 5th second =
will tell you it is merely a typo

No words yet about the accreditation, and since nothing has been said about it, I think it will be safer to assume it has not been given. Better be safe than be sorry
