Dedicated to all moi moi lovers

I looked at the sight of the moi moi and shrugged a bit. The moi moi was wrapped in huge green leaves, it had crayfish and eggs in it. in fact it was a sight to behold. Well of course we all know what moi moi is... Right? well if you don't know what it is, you can as well ask Xolocious, I am sure he would give you a better description and insight about it.
"Thompson you buy this moi moi plenty o, see as the moi moi full everywhere, you sure say we fit finish this level?" Mayson asked while observing the moi moi.
"yes na... After we don smoke smoke smoke, you no know say our belle go don open. This one even small sef, me wey dey finish like 5 wraps of moi moi for house and e still no go reach me" Thompson said with a frown.
"yes na... Why e go reach you when your belle na bottomless pit mtcheww nonsense" I said.
I liked moi moi but not this type, I liked the type made by GT fast food or the type made my mum. The locally made moi moi was just out of it... Completely ruled out. Well, I had no choice this time around I just had to join the gang in dismantling the hot moi moi wrapped in leaves.
I went into the kitchen, brought a bowl of garri and water and we began to eat. Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought, I finished the first wrap, second wrap and third wrap of moi moi like it was absolutely nothing.
"see Temy o... I no tell you say you go enjoy the moi moi" Thompson said with a smile on his face. He took the bowl of garri and drank the water out of it.
"mtcheww... No be the kush wey I smoke" I said. "if not... I for no fit chop thing, I swear"
After eating we laid on the bed like lazy men with our belly filled to the brim with moi moi and garri, we didn't know when we all slept off.
I woke up in the middle of the night to the rhythm of something, it wasn't the ringtone from my phone, neither was it from my friends phone or alarm clock... But the soundtrack of my stomach singing 'Reggae blues'. I tried adjusting myself so I rolled off to the floor.
The soundtrack emanating from my belly didn't stop it continued, it kept singing... "after the reggae play the blues...". I couldn't withstand my body system anymore, so I began to crawl to the toilet.
The foul odour coming out of the toilet tripled my palava. It actually increased my problem times 3x
"who could be in the toilet" I wondered.
it was dark so I couldn't figure out who was possibly using my toilet at the time.
"Mayson na you be that... See how your shi* dey smell anyhow" I struggled to say.
"No...no o.. na me Thompson o" Thompson said in a sober voice "my belle dey turn me I swear... E be like say... O God...yeh... Jesus"
"you see wetin u cause?" I said holding my belly tight. I was. Struggling to survive.
"Temy... Do me one small favor abeg" Thompson pleaded.
"wetin happen" I inquired
"I need water to take flush... And your toilet don cast asin, eh... E don cast finish... that moi moi don finish me, I no dey ever chop mama Joan moi moi again" Thompson said.
It was as if he was crying in the toilet, I felt miserable and helpless myself, I really needed to use the toilet... Like Asap.
"Where Mayson... The level affect am too" Thompson inquired.
I looked towards the direction of Mayson, and there he was sleeping like a new born baby. The moi moi had no effect on him at all. In fact he was smiling in his sleep.
I immediately ran out to my neighbors room in the cold night to beg him to use his toilet. Well... It wasn't a sight to behold.

Your consistency in delivering this masterpiece is amazing. Although the tempo has reduced, that you're still committed to it alone is laudable. Its been a joyride. You're indeed a talented writer. More ink to your pen.

It had been close to a month since I heard from my ex. She often crossed my mind from time to time but I paid little attention to thoughts of her.
I can still recall Juliet telling me she was pregnant with my baby . It was like a dream, it was so scary for a young lad like me who was still in the university to digest. That very night was indeed a crazy night to remember.
I jumped in the bed without pulling the socks off my feet and began to thinking of what fatherhood was like.
"That beautiful feeling when you hold your new born baby in your hands and watch him fall asleep in your arms, that beautiful feeling when he calls you *daddy... That beautiful feeling when you watch him grow and become somebody respectable" I thought. That was every parent dream.
I brushed my beards with my left hand and smiled, I didn't know when my second voice grapped my ears and began to say all sorts to me. My yeye crazy mind. Mtcheww
"so Temy... At this age you don become papa, how you wan take buy pampers for your baby, you get money to take take care of your baby... You wey no dey work. Temy... You no say you and that babe no fit come back together again, so na only you go con dey take care of the pikin.. You go become baby daddy, your own don finish.infact your papa go disown you and you go drop out of school" I thought.
My head was in a cold war... A war of ideology, a war of ideas, no weapons, no nuclear warheads, just my mind acting up But this time, I was in the losing side, my mind was defeating me. I became confused and hopeless. I stood up from the bed, went into the kitchen and I began to search for what to eat.
My foodstuffs was almost finished, the quantity of rice and beans wasn't going to last for another week so I was basically going to starve still the end of the month.
My garri was a bit much, so I opted for Garri and groundnut. While I was preparing it, I saw a huge bottle of McDowell at the side of the kitchen door.
"my brother must have left this drink there... Mehn, this one na the height o, this wan RIP... Rest in peace." I giggled.
"this must have been sent to me by the good angels, to take away my sorrows and pains" I thought.
I completely left the garri and bottled groundnut in the kitchen, I went to my bed with the bottle of whiskey and started drinking... Just me, only me and nobody else. Shayo was the only solution to my pains at that particular time. I turned-on the music and played my favorite Russ songs. I didn't know McDowell wasn't like kush, it was so not friendly with me.

......
Re: Chronicles Of Temy (my Life On Campus) by YungTemy(m): 11:00am On Dec 30, 2017
Shayo took me to another different realm entirely, a realm I never thought could ever be in existence, a realm so blur and wavy, a realm which eventually turned me upside down...lol I was literally walking with my head. (is that possible?... You might as well give it a try)
I poured the bottle of gin in a glass cup and sipped it, I choked, frowned and took a dip breathe.
"mehn... This thing bitter o.... Choo!" I murmured. "how my brother take dey enjoy this thing...see as the bottle sexy anyhow yet the content just bitter like bitter leaf. Anyway sha... E get why".
Of course "E get why", I cannot come and go and kill myself because of what Juliet had told me. I felt shayo could suppress the traumas going through my mind... At least, it would give me peace of mind. It was a Saturday evening, the least that could happen was that I wouldn't go to church the next day, it would in no way affect my going to school on Monday.
I gulped the full glass cup of liquor with both eyes closed and held my head with both hands, I could feel the impulse of my brain, I could feel it accelerating at a top speed of 200km per hour. My eyes were beginning to turn red like Benin sand.
"mehn... This thing dey shark oooo... This thing no get joy at all" I said to myself with a grin.
I began to pour another round of McDowell into the glass cup yet again.
Well, frankly I was ignorant of the effects of the harden liquor, I hardly took it, I only smoked weed with my friends, but this time they weren't around at that particular moment.
Well, to cut the story short, after drinking about 3 huge glasses of alcohol, I completely forgot about Juliet, in fact I forgot about everything.
I remembered walking to the kitchen, I stood there for like 10 mins smiling and observing the plates, pots and other kitchen utensils. Why was I standing there looking like a lucozade, I still can't figure out till now.
Next, I went back to my room, sat on the bed and tried as much as possible to maintain myself. I no wan fall my hand. I was calm... Relaxed but sober. I gazed round my apartment looking at my environment like I was a visitor. I got cut up with the bob Marley portrait on the wall.
I stared at it drunkenly for like 5 mins, analyzing the picture of bob Marley, looking at his long dark dreads and cute smile. He had in his right hand a massive weed, jumbo sized. I adored him, he was a legend.
I stood up and went toward his portrait and began to sing with tears in my eyes, alcoholic tears I mean.
"don't worry about a thing... Cuz every little thing gonna be alright.... Don't worry about a thing...cuz every little thing gonna be alright... "
I wiped the alcoholic tears off my face, lifted the McDowell bottle on the floor and staggered outside to receive fresh air
I got to the well, sat on it and began to receive the evening breeze on my skin. One my neighbor, called Emeka saw me relaxing so he walked up to me.
"Emeka how far na... How market?" I greeted him in a drunken state.
"bros... I just dey"
"bros... I just dey was the last thing I heard from Emeka. The rest words I heard was "blah... Blah blah blah blah".
"had it been this guy know wetin I dey pass through e for keep quiet" I thought inwardly.
I looked towards his direction and shaked my head.
"make I shake my head make e no be like say I dey rude" I thought. So I continued shaking my head like an agama lizard.
I was already feeling the third nasty effect of the liquor..." Yeh! Third nasty effect". Okay... Lemme educate you guys as a one time professional in alcoholism.
Alcohol has three stages.
I. You drink and you get happy... You're always smiling, you'd forget your sorrow and you'd always wish to be in that state forever.... But nah? That's when number 2 comes in.
2. Nothing last forever bro, this stage is usually a time for sober reflection. You'd begin to think about rubbish and it will keep weighing you down. You'd hardly feel yourself or have control of the things you do. This is the stage I call the wasted stage.
3. Lastly... Is the throwing up stage. At this stage you'd beginning to feel your belly fighting royal rumble... You'd actually begin to feel like vomiting. Well, some are strong enough to resist it by sleeping off but people like me have to run to the white house to visit Donald trump.
And that was exactly what I did, I didn't bother to take excuse from Emeka, I just ran immediately to the toilet to throw up. Well, unfortunately I survived... My belly hurts, but I was glad I could make it through.
I fell on my bed in other to relax my body. I drank alot of water too in other to prevent the possibility of having an hangover the next day.
"mehn... People wey dey consume alcohol everyday dey try o... No be beans." I thought.
"Wetin Emeka been dey try tell me again" I pondered
Emeka looked worried but I couldn't figure out exactly what he was trying to tell me. I stood up from my bed, went to the bathroom washed my face yet again and went outside only to see a sight not worthy to be seen.
Emeka was actually standing on the Well, with the well cover opened Well. It was as if he was about to jump into the Well... Well of course he was.
"Emeka wetin you wan do?"
"no near this place... No try am" Emeka said, he had just a boxer shorts on like some who was about to swim... Not in a swimming pool but in a well filled with rain water.
"okay.... Emeka relax make we align the matter... Wetin dey do you?"
"Temy... Leave me. No near me. I'm tired of this world. My babe wey I wan marry... Oh God, babe wey I love so much. I swear... I don tire" Emeka began to cry.
Emeka wasn't my friend per se but one of my neighbor, we hardly talk, he was the quiet type. He was this "Aje butter" kind of guy. Tall dark, handsome with an afro. The fact that he spoke to me meant he really had something important to let out but I paid deaf ears to what he had to say.
"na why you wan con loose your life... You no be man". I didn't actually know what to do or say, I was confused myself, I had my own issues but I wouldn't want my neighbor just die right in front of eyes.
"wetin I wan con tell police... Abi SARS. Aye mi Temi ba mi" I said inwardly.
Emeka literally ignored me and began to squat, he looked into the deep well... I could tell he was scared.
I couldn't dare to move any closer, the only option I had was to call the remaining boys in my hostel. Immediately I took a step back.... I heard a huge splash. Emeka had attempted suicide. The niggi don fall inside Well.
To be continued

I stood still, confused for like a second or two, I didn't know what to do, I was shocked, perplexed and short of words. In fact the entire alcoholic contents in my body had completely evaporated.
I heard huge splashes emanating from the well, Emeka was drowning. The poor boy. See wetin woman done cause. Love is indeed blind.
I looked around my immediate environment, for ropes or ladder to use in pulling him out but I found none. I was confused.... I therefore left Emeka and ran back to my hostel and began to bang on all my neighbours doors.
"who dey knocki my door lika that... You want to damage it" one of my neighbour called Akpan shouted. Akpan was a young calaber lad with a funny accent.
"Na Temy...open the door yawa don gas"
"wetin dey happen," Emafidon inquired from his room.
The guy no wan come out he thought it was probably police or armed robbers raiding our hotel.
"Emeka dey inside well ooooo" I scream.
"na you push am inside well...?" Emafidon asked stupidly.
"na your papa push am inside well... Idiot" I slammed back.
"simple question you no fit answer... Temy you dey Bleep up o... No try me o...,no try me at all" Emafidon said.
He came out with no shirt showing off his huge developing pot belly. I gave him zero response. Instead I began to bang the remaining doors in the hostel.
"Emeka... What happened to Emeka. Oh God... Oh no" one of my neighbour Titilope ran out with a wrapper tied to her waist. I looked at the foot mat at the side of her door, I saw a males palm slippers.
"bros, you no go come out person don enter inside well o" I said sarcastically..while banging the door.
Of course the dude came out after a few seconds... I no fit lie the guy huge and grab anyhow sha.
"bros... I hail o, my guy... My guy" I stammered pointing towards the direction of the well.
"wetin do your guy?" He asked. I could see him adjusting his jeans.
"Na this guy level, Titilope dey collect everytime... As she take thin like this... This babe dey try o, I swear" I pondered.
"my... My guy fall inside well"
"mm... No wahala, make we go save am... That's if your guy never kpoff."
I frowned.
"which kind talk be that one" I murmured.
"you say" He asked
"nooo... Nothing o"
My neighbours all trooped out... Including Emafidon. Akpan brought a thick rope out of nowhere and threw it into the well.
"Emeka... Emeka, hol' on the rope"Akpan screamed.
Emeka was too weak, he tried to hold on to the rope but fell right back inside.
"you no fit hold the rope... You no be man, why you dey do like woman" Emafidon said furiously.
"you sharap there... Idiot. I no know why I call you self" I said.
"Temy... You dey mad" he said rhetorically
"oh my God... Please hold on to the rope... Please... You can do it" Titilope pleaded. She was actually crying like a baby, the sight of the struggling Emeka frightened her. Her boyfriend went up to her and held her closer.
I practically ignored Emafidon yet again and concentrated on helping Emeka.
Emeka tried yet again to hold on to the rope....
More updates coming up
