I just went to the BDHC at Walter Carrington today again and I was told to go and ask Sheffield to send the mail for submission to m, and the funny thing is that they won't allow you to enter but the will use the security men both to receive information from you and send to you.
UK BDHC Lagos is rubbish and the whole UK visa processing things is now becoming tiring and frustrating seriously.
LaaJiblik:

Your frustration is understood, albeit misplaced.
1. By UK Embassy, what exactly do you mean? Office of the High Commision(er)? or the Consulate? Or you meant TLS Contact?

2. When your refusal was up-turned, how did you get the message conveying the decision? Was the decision from the EMBASSY or from TLSContact or from UKVI?

3. I am sure the medium through which you were communicated must have made it clear on what steps you need(ed) to take.

Its frustrating. Patience my brother. Or otherwise, get back to them who told you Lagos Embassy will contact you, and let them know that Lagos Embassy hasn't contacted you, yet.
By the way, did they give you a timeline for the contact from the lagos embassy?

Ask you school first if IELTS is compulsory. Most times it is not. If it is, ask them if they will list the IELTS in the CAS or not. If they will (which is most times) then you have to do IELTS for UKVI as the embassy only accepts that. If they won't list it on the CAS and just say they have accessed your English Language and found it to be adequate, then you can do the normal IELTS.

In my own personal opinion, if you need to write IELTS, write the one for UKVI. That way you can use it for UK Visa purposes and don't have to worry about the fine print.

I don't think I can answer your question but you can check the official UK government site this one https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration to know the types of visas and how to process it or to any third-party like this one https://www.migrationexpert.co.uk/visa_uk/, I hope this can help you.

London: The UK has launched a pilot visa scheme for international students, including from India, applying for a Masters degree course in select high-profile universities, that would allow them to stay in the country for six months more after completing their course.

The Tier 4 Visa Pilot Scheme, launched by the UK Home Office this week, is open to students from around the world who win a place at one-year Masters courses at Imperial College London, Oxford, Cambridge or Bath universities.

Hello house, I applied for a visa in October for. A Phd and I was refused based on the interview. I applied for an admin review and it. Was not successful. Now the school has accepted to issue me another cas but it will be for September 2018 intake. I don’t mind though, but I want to know if I should use the super priority visa since there will be no interview and also I won’t have to be in suspense waiting for my visa.

You mean the reason they cited for refusal was how poorly you performed during the interview?

Who told you that Super-Priority applicants are not interviewed?

Standard or priority or super-priority is NOT your problem.
You need to be able to answer the interview questions.

I'm not a pro at this...but I think there's a place where it is clearly stated that if you've been denied visa before, avoid using the super priority service...even those that haven't been denied before that use super priority get interviewed via phone.

Mayb u should just get ready for the questions and go tru standard application since uve been denied so you don't waste 500k, if possible get a friend to ask you in an oral practice.

Hi guys i've been following his thread for a while and i really need help right now. So, the thing is i applied for the UK tier 4 but unfortunately i failed the credibility test because i made mention of one result and forgot to explain the other one cos i used two sittings. I filed for an Administrative review and still i wasn't given. So the school advised that i should do a short term student visa and after 6 months i would come back to nigeria to get my full Tier 4 Visa.I have done that now and i used super priority. I made a full tuition payment already and my living expenses is intact.
My question is..I'm i going to be interviewed?

Nope. Look at the refusal letter again. They will tell you EXACTLY why your answers at the interview were not satisfactory.

You mean you spoke so fast that the interviewer couldn’t hear you?

UK Embassy is now rubbish seriously frustrating, My refusal has been overturned by the Home Office since 7/11/2017 and I have been told the Lagos embassy will contact me and up till now i am yet to hear from them, I went there in person today and I deny entry even I was told by the security that they don't process visa there any more and I contacted the TLScontact at Ikeja those one too told me they don't deal with visa issue, I don't even know what to do now, UK embassy is seriously a rubbish embassy.

My review for them is -ve10 worst than zero self.

Please any one that can help out on what to do, school resume January.

Hey dear, calm down okay. Everything will be fine. I am in similar situation. I am already in the UK for my PhD program. my husband and daughter were denied visa, we put in for administrative review and it was successful. They told them to submit their passport back, my husband has finally collected his back but my daughter hasn't because her insurance money was refunded back, we had to make the payment again, which is now causing another delay.

Have you been sent a mail to return your passport back to their office?

You will be sent a mail to return your passport for stamping, when it's done, you will be sent another mail for pick up.

my husband own took 2 weeks exactly to be stamped and returned.

my daughter's own is still with them, surprisingly we submitted both of them passport together, one was stamped and returned, the other was left. Now we had to pay insurance money back as my daughter insurance was already refunded.

I totally understand with you dear, the visa process is really frustrating, but you just have to be patient. Keep calling and sending a mail to Sheffield office.

Hey, September 2018 is a long time for you to get acquainted with your program. I will advise you to read the refusal letter again, know where you failed.

Read through your course, take time to study your school website, get familiar with likely questions asked during interview.

Have good future plans, especially if you are sponsoring yourself, they want to know why you are investing such amount of money for studies.

I used super priority for my own application in October for PhD. I got my visa next day and wasn't interviewed. However, be prepared Incase you are called for an interview. You can't really predict this people I tell you.

Goodluck.

You got the interview part wrong. I don't know if Priority and Super Priority is the same but i paid for priority and was interviewed twice, one on the day i submitted and the another on the second day. Also, i think paying for priority after you have been denied a visa is like a waste of money because it will take longer becos you have been denied.

I also forgot to mention that I had earlier studied in the UK for a masters degree and graduated in 2015, so I never expected my visa to be refused. After graduation I have travelled twice to the Uk.

You have to first of all READ the reasons cited for the visa denial.

Then you need to look yourself in the mirror and reflect if indeed you gave satisfactory answers during the interview.

I tell you what I think?
I think you were too confident given your previous UK studies that you took the interview for granted.

Advice:
Prepare well for the interview next time. Dot your I’s and cross your T’s.

Merry Christmas
