blackbeau1:Hahahha.. This naija na funny country.. In this part of the world, a man finances a woman.. Hahahhahahah.. And yet, women still come around and scream equality.. Until naija ladies grow to be matured, financially responsible and competent, I don't respect most of them. My chick currently, I run all her bill. Just very few ladies in this part of the world actually used their head and made legal money. Majority simply live on guys and be forming slaw queens.. The type of world we are building in nigeria is craxy. If u av money as a lady and a guy who doesn't av money approaches u, if u are okay with him, go ahead and date him. U can make him a better person financially. For hell sake, there is nothing wrong with that. My Canadian friend, her bf has been out of job for a long time and she has been financing the bills but never felt bad about it. They still love and go on vacation. They are currently on X'mas vacation now. U can still date a broke guy as a lady and still keep ur financial life high if u really earn ur money by working hard. Just that in this part of the world, many ladies earn their money thru divks and many are placed on monthly and shopping salary by their male lover.. Until this stops, ladies would still be regarded as sex beings by many men. Bitter truth. |

9jaDoc:That's hilarious. So how was she 'maintaining' her lifestyle before the guy came along? In an ideal setting, a reasonable guy should ensure he has a steady income before getting into a serious relationship that could lead to marriage. No matter how much you collect from mummy and daddy, you'll never be a true man until you sweat for your money. Having struggled to eke out an honest living, seek a girl that is reasonably close to your financial worth. If you're earning 100k make sure you date someone also working and earning at least 60k, someone who would be able to plan with you. The truth is if you date a daddy's girl that is still collecting offering money or date one of these artisans/underemployed girls working as salesgirls and such, they'd drain your finances and zeal to move further in life. Although the truth is, love is illogical. Despite everything I fell in love with a girl that was an unemployed ex-corper when we met. She was still collecting handouts from her parents and obviously still thought life is all about going to mummy's kitchen and eating her food when you're hungry. Its difficult for someone to appreciate the value of money when they didn't work for it. There's nothing wrong with buying expensive makeup, wearing designer clothes/shoes and using iPhone as a girl, just buy it with your money you sweated for. When you make it a habit of buying stuff like that with money you sourced from your daddy or different men, it gives you a wrong attitude to life and work. As a guy, even if you want a housewife or housegirlfriend that will just fold her arms while you cater for her existence, make sure its a girl that has worked before, someone who'll appreciate your efforts, not some spoiled brat that will think money grows on trees. At my level, I can only date a girl who earns at least 100k, just a little above half my salary, but at least she'll be going to work everyday and will have a first hand experience of how money is made. Love is blind but marriage has great eye sight, make sure you don't end up with a parasite that will just suck you dry, go for someone that can encourage you to be disciplined and make sacrifices to invest for a better future, not these owo ni koko girls that don't care if you're into armed robbery so far you bring the cash |

UBGG:Its a shame that I'm surprised when I come across Nigerian ladies like you that have common sense. I should be able to take it for granted that the average Naija girl should have common sense, it shouldn't shock me. Its pathetic |

9jaDoc:Don't take this the wrong way, is it so that u can have a sort of leverage or security? Or a sense of dominance? |
| Re: Date A Girl In Your Financial Lane by Nobody: 12:58pm On Dec 23, 2017 |
9jaDoc:Tradition and nature also dictate men should treat their wives like glorified slaves while she worships them. Maybe more men should allow tradition and nature to take its course, because obviously the average Naija girl has the mentality that there's no need for her to struggle to make something of her life since she can use fine face and big bumbum to get a guy that will be spending money on her. Sometimes I wonder why parents bother to send their daughters to school. Its just a waste of time and money, when you graduate and start investing in makeup and skimpy clothes so you can get a guy to buy Gucci shoes and Brazilian hair for you |

as disheartening as it sounds this is actually insinuating that ladies should live on free will donations and daily contributions by men. An encouragement to lead indolent and profligate lifestyles. A lady is supposed feast on what society produces while contributing nothing as though the universe owes her. That such a mentality is prevailant today is evidence that majority of parents have failed. Being future wives I wonder how the next generation will reason: women should be paid salaliers for breastfeedind their infants? Who knows |

9jaDoc:So your less educated and less financially stable husband only approached you for sex or touchey-feely. He saw you as a rag to wipe his semen on and pay off. Or maybe your husband is the only saint in Nigeria. You're funny |
