I agree no less. its obviously a calculated attempt to prevent Nigerians from celebrating Christmas. As the Bubu President is never happy with the reason for the season.

Why does the scarcity almost always coincide with Christmas celebrations?

"Coincidence is an explanation used by fools and liars"

islam is a torment on the Christains. It's more heart breaking to see how deeply we hate ourselves as Christains. How many of us Christains would sell the PMS at the regulated price today?

Am à muslim I bought à litre for 220 naira today. How the hell in the world will à group of dullards think its only a group of people that are suffering from the hike.
Do muslims have special filling stations. Are all the owners of fuel stations muslims. If its truly to sabotage Christmas CAN should order owners of fuel stations who are Christians to sell at the official price.

realjoker:
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) says the scarcity of petrol is an attempt to sabotage the celebration of Christmas.
In the last three weeks, Nigerians have been finding it difficult to get petroleum products.
In a statement on Saturday, Kwamkur Samuel, director legal and public affairs, wondered why the scarcity of the petroleum products occurred during the Christmas celebration.
Samuel called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take measures to ensure that the product is made available.
“CAN is worried about the resurfacing of long queues at filling stations in Nigeria, after several increases in fuel price to ensure the availability of the product to all citizens,” the statement read.

“We are not only concerned that this seeming artificial scarcity happens mostly during Christmas period. We are also disturbed that everything is looking like an attempt to deliberately sabotage the celebration of Christmas by some people.
“We wonder why queues would suddenly resurface after all assurances and steps have been taken towards constant availability of petroleum product.

“We want to call on President Muhammadu Buhari, the ministry of petroleum and other relevant stakeholders to take decisive measures towards ensuring that fuel is made available and accessible to all citizens within the shortest possible time at a controlled price.”
He said the failure of government to take measures against saboteurs is unacceptable to the church.
“Christmas season does not just happen; it is a worldwide annual celebration that is known to everyone. For authorities to behave like the season came suddenly and fail to take necessary measures to control the activities of saboteurs is unacceptable to the Church,” he said.
“We deeply view the negligence of relevant authorities to ensure fuel availability to citizens as deliberate and an attempt to exploit the citizens and particularly Christians who travel distances for the celebration.
“As we celebrate, let us all be security-conscious and remember the persecuted church in Adamawa, Kaduna, Borno and all other parts of Nigeria in our prayers and gifts.
“May we never forget to celebrate this Christmas with the reason for the season — the birth of the saviour of the world, Jesus Christ our Lord. Merry Christmas to all Nigerians and a prosperous New Year.”

The CAN is a toothless bulldog,y did they ve to wait this long before speaking up,re they thinking fuel queues would disappear overnight? Y is it always the time for Christians' celebrations that rubbish like this rear it's ugly head,I know that a handful of Christians would be conniving with whomever behind the scenes to further worsen an already hopeless situation just because they want to line their pockets to the detriment of his fellow brethren, things like this re scarcely seen during Muslims' celebrations...

Do Muslim hike prices on their goods during sallah? But we Christians will the prices of good all in the name of "season".

The reason behind the hike in fuel to me is because of the number of people coming into the country from abroad. They will buy many millions of liters of fuel. That's way, the daily estimate by NNPC will be small compared to the is been used.

Is Northerners the only people working in NNPC or anything sector that got to do with PMS?

CAN and Ohaneze, same thin line of stupidity binds them together..

If they had commonsense, they'll realise that someone who normally buys 10 litres of fuel buys full tank simply because he wants to travel with his family.
Re: CAN On Fuel Scarcity: This Looks Like An Attempt To Sabotage X-mas Celebrations by Ken4Christ: 11:01pm On Dec 24, 2017
In addition to fuel scarcity, most banks have not enough money to pay customers who want to withdraw and most ATMs are not working. It is a calculated sabotage. Christian leaders in government should wake up and resist the recurrence of it.

CAN members can supposedly raise the dead, heal the blind, etc etc but common ordinary petrol they cannot produce for God's people at Christmas time? Yeye 419 people!!

Everytime there is a problem in this country, certain groups shout. The only reason they shout is to remain relevant and not because they want to help the people they say they represent. These days it is CAN or Igbo or Ijaw militants etc, the truth is the leadership need the people they say they represent to continue to suffer or else they lose their relevance. Once you are ok you dont need them so they cant afford for you to be OK.

Beware of people who claim to speak in your name but get wealthier while you remain poor....just look at Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who played the minority card for decades, the lot of blacks did not change but Jackson And Sharpton became relevant and very wealthy men.

Know when you are being used.

When I saw the topic of the post was about CAN, I thought o well another bullshit. Funny thing is why wasn't it a deliberate attempt against Christians and Christmas when we had a Christian minister of petroleum under a Christian president or why does the price of goods increase drastically during the Christmas seasons or why is it that the price of petroleum products aren't on the high during easter periods?
I'm not in anyway supporting the scarcity or the authorities involved but they already talked about the scarcity and promised that the scarcity will be out of the question by the weekend and true to their words the products are already available.
Yes I'm a Yoruba Muslim and I think CAN needs new set of responsible leaders.

DieBuhari:
Yoruba muslims will attack CAN for this
And Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa Christians will support hypocritical CAN.... That CAN have caged your sense of reasoning, you can't think for yourself

If this is true, then i am ashamed to share the christian faith with many of our people.

That means, we have many christians that work in collaboration with anti-christ forces to sabotage christmas. Christians own filling stations. Christians are in government. Christians are among the marketers. Even our Vp is a pastor.
Re: CAN On Fuel Scarcity: This Looks Like An Attempt To Sabotage X-mas Celebrations by Ladyhippolyta88(f): 11:23pm On Dec 24, 2017
My opinion, Nigeria has three problems corruption, ethnicity and religion which is supposed to be a personal thing but is now a national thing.
nnachukz:
Now that is where our problem lies. Religion.
Now our problem occasioned by inaction of some incompetent people who specialize in blame game is now being given religious undertone to worsen our feelings.

Bevista:
Really? Who are they blaming for the sabotage? What a very petty attempt to get involved in partisan politics. A few days ago it was Ohaneze crying of conspiracy against the Igbos and now this.
---
Why do prices of most stuff generally go up during Christmas, especially down south? Greedy Christians always trying to exploit the festive period for unusual profit.
---
BTW, I am not justifying the current fuel scarcity, neither am I exonorating the authorities. I'm just saying that issues should be situated properly. A few years ago we had a super Minister of Petroleum (Christian) under a Christian president, yet we still experienced petrol scarcity during every Christmas.
you are a liar. Through out Gej's administration, there was no fuel scarcity during periods. It was towards the end of his administration that we had one and that was a conspiracy from change agents and chanters. Check your record
