Though people say Jesus Christ wasn't born on 25th Dec, that 25th Dec was for the worship of some gods.......

You know what, even if it was the day they worship satan, .... we Christian chooses to convert that date to honor Christ birthday ( Christmas).
Christians has taken over the date and the devil can't do anything about it.
you are certainly a confused Christian

Record of when He was born and His lifetimes till He died were all recorded in the Bible, including the number of years He spent on earth, even days after His resurrection. So God belief in accuracy because His ways are perfect. So we dont just pick a day in the year and be saying we are celebrating Jesus Christ.After-all His death weight more than His birth. Because when He was born He has right to choose His life the way want and He can even fail to fulfill the purpose of coming to earth, that is to die for our sins. So when He died we are saved. And he categorically commanded us to remember His death and not birth. After He left the earth His disciples Commemorate His death has ordered by Him but no record of His birth being celebrated by His disciples can be found. When we do that is like saying that the Bible not complete, that we need to add our own. We should try as much as possible to limit ourselves to what can be found in the Bible. When a child is born, we all says congrats and lied to the child that EARTH IS SWEET but does it really sweet! It is only when someone died that we say the truth that HE OR SHE HAS LEFT THE WICKED WORLD FULL OF SINS. So we should stop deceiving ourselves. Many child that are born good ended up doing wrong and when they were born then people were happy not knowing that they will choose bad ways in life. It is when Jesus died to us that matters not his birth because he chose to endured to the last by choosing wisely. Some will be celebrating their birth when they are not doing the right things(serving God) then what are we celebrating for! Do we own ourselves! No winder it was pagan worshipers that celebrated their birth in the Bible because they don't know their purpose of living on earth. So my people, what is our purpose on earth? What is God purpose for us? Why is it more vital to attend burial than birth day? What does the dead of Jesus Christ meant for us and why we need to remember this? And how does His death need to be remembered? Answers to all these questions can be found in the Bible

True the Angle announced the birth of a savior... was the actual date giving?
Did any of his disciples celebrated Christ birth?
With the kind of loss and wild parties associated with this season, can you link a savior to it?
Did the Bible instruct believers to celebrate his birth or his death?....pls read these...
Luke: 22:15_20. Also lcorinthians:11:24_26.
Look inward ,your kind of celebration incurred more atrocities, high rate of death, Increase in divorced when poor homes couldn't measure up!
High rate of unwanted pregnancy during and after!
Think again why you celebrate/worship what you know not.,.... John: 4;22.

forget the messenger and focus on the message. Christians know how to celebrate it in a Godly way. Your assertion of negative narration is for those who don't know the essence of Christianity and thank God those who don't know, the celebration frenzy will at least make them hear some word as you did in this thread to know and probably savour the essence when they come to realisation.
What is the meaning of christbirth? Your answer will guide you.

.

Specifically, December 25th was the Victory Festival of the “SUN-God” in the pagan Babylonian world. In the ancient Roman Empire, the same celebration can be traced back to the Roman Festival called “Saturnalia”, which honored Saturn, the harvest god, and Mithras, the god of light. They held the circus during this time of the year. Both festivals were celebrated during or shortly after the winter solstice, between the 17 th and 23rd of December.

Yea, they actually celebrated Jesus without knowing, Jesus is the Sun of righteousness. People of then celebrated the unknown, like those who were worshipping God through images and Paul corrected them.

The babylonians celebrated Jesus on 25th December, the SUN without knowing, Christians have taken the date..

" Malachi 4:2 “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture."

Eat, drink, be filled with laughter, for Christ, your saviour, is born today, alleluia.

Yeshua (Jesus if u wish to call him so) knew before hand that some wolves in sheep clothings will rise to deceive his people into accepting certain falsehoods such as Chist-mas (Krishna-mass) among others.. Due to this, He instituted his own way through which his "devout" followers should commemorate him for the totality of his existence (from birth to death);
1 Corinthians11:24, And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me".. The million dollar question is, how many Christians do partake in this...It's high time we start going by the books.

The Bible’s answer

The Bible does not give a specific date for the birth of Jesus Christ, as these reference works show:

“"The true birth date of Christ is unknown."”—New Catholic Encyclopedia.

“"The exact date of Christ’s birth is not known."”—Encyclopedia of Early Christianity.

While the Bible does not directly answer the question, ‘When was Jesus born?’ it does describe two events surrounding his birth that lead many to conclude that he was not born on December 25.
Not in winter

The registration. Shortly before Jesus was born, Caesar Augustus issued a decree ordering “"all the inhabited earth to be registered."” Everyone had to register in “"his own city,"” which might have required a journey of a week or more. (Luke 2:1-3) That order—probably made to support taxation and military conscription—would have been unpopular at any time of year, but it is unlikely that Augustus would have provoked his subjects further by forcing many of them to make long trips during the cold winter.

The sheep. Shepherds were “"living out of doors and keeping watches in the night over their flocks."” (Luke 2:cool The book Daily Life in the Time of Jesus notes that flocks lived in the open air from “"the week before the Passover [late March]"” through mid-November. It then adds: “"They passed the winter under cover; and from this alone it may be seen that the traditional date for Christmas, in the winter, is unlikely to be right, since the Gospel says that the shepherds were in the fields."”

In early fall

We can estimate when Jesus was born by counting backward from his death on Passover, Nisan 14 in the spring of the year 33 C.E. (John 19:14-16) Jesus was about 30 years old when he began his three-and-a-half-year ministry, so he was born in the early fall of 2 B.C.E.—Luke 3:23.
Why is Christmas on December 25?

Since there is no evidence that the birth of Jesus Christ occurred on December 25, why is Christmas celebrated on this date? The Encyclopædia Britannica says that church leaders probably chose it “"to coincide with the pagan Roman festival marking the ‘birthday of the unconquered sun,"’” at the time of the winter solstice. According to The Encyclopedia Americana, many scholars believe that this was done “"in order to make Christianity more meaningful to pagan converts."”

somewhere along the line Nigerian Christians actually think that all in the Bible is all that Christ did and said not knowing that what we have is just a recording of not up to 50% of what he did, the four gospel books are just for those who did not see to believe, p. S where did Jesus say you should not mark his birthday undecided

where in the Bible were you told to bath two times a day, eat three times a day, browse nairaland, go to university, watch TV, wear trousers and shirt since you need to Bible to tell you everything why then do you need the descent of the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom?

no need to argue with you
Read prov. 30:5-6 And Rev.22:18-19 you don't have to practice or include what has not been written down in the Bible. Now that you did are you aware that the curse of the Lord is upon you?

I don't know where to start from but the problem here is you do not understand the history of the Holy Bible and if you do not understand the history of something, how will you understand what it contains?.Each book(scripture) were written independently at different times, places, languages etc. e.g Genesis and Exodus were reportedly written by Moses before 500 B.C , the book of Luke by the apostle Luke around 50 A.D and Revelations by the Apostle John who recorded his visions in the first century. All these books existed individually although part of the old testament made the Jewish Torah. Early Christians read each scroll individually, It was later on close to 1000years later some scriptures were compressed into one and others were not added and they were arranged according to the sequence of the events from the creation of the world to the prophecy of the world to come, just like the way we had key point biology, key point chemistry, key point physics separately then the author will one day compose key point science encompassing all of them. Having said this, the Rev 22 verse you quoted is simply telling the Apostle John what will happen to anyone who attempts to alter the writings of his prophecy e.g I decide to write my own Bible and say it was revealed to apostle John that the number will be 1 million not 144,000 or the date of Christ coming was revealed to be 1st January 2018 etc. P.S I don't really understand who attempted to add Christmas day to the Bible. Before Jesus
Left he blessed his disciples and told them in Matt 16:19 I have given you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, whatsoever you permit on earth is permitted in heaven and whatsoever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Why do you think he did this? Because his work on earth is to come and create the way while the work of others is to make it understandable. Paul who never met him was the one who ordered how the ministers would work. The apostles who met to break bread every first day of the week(sunday) did so without waiting for Jesus to tell them and so many things because they have the gift of the Holy Spirit. Not celebrating Christmas is not a sin just as Paul said but judging those that do I can't say for such because who exactly are you to judge for the Living God even worse is celebrating Christmas in sinful ways and increasing the prices of your goods during Christmas
