Rochas can very well label every house in Owerri "Buhari House"

No amount of insult or intimidation will allow such brazen rape of Imo state to stand.

Go and mark these words. Rochas and Buhari intransigence in forcefully renaming the major roads and buildings after themselves will ONLY end in disgrace.

Rochas is in the same party with Buhari and his brazen stupidity on asslicking and sycophantic idiocy is amazing. Just imagine that he wasn't in APC, the bloated bread soaked in water would have renamed Imo State to Buhari State.

ChimaAgbalajob:

Resumption of international flights at Sam Mbakwe Intl. airport (SMICA) is important to Owerri achieving it's potential. The way FAAN and NCAA has forced Ethiopian and Turkish airlines to combine their almost empty Kano international flights with stopover in Kaduna airport to boost development of those northern Nigeria airports, The Enugu and Port Harcourt airports can combine new international flights with Owerri. For instance, Turkish airline flight to Port Harcourt Intl. via Owerri and Air France Paris-Port Harcourt-Owerri flights will help the airport.

Instead of looking for projects built by other Imo Governors or former Presidents to rename after Buhari, Rochas should impress on Buhari to permit international flights into Owerri and dualize the airport road.
Then naming that important airport road after Buhari would be justifiable honor to him as he has contributed towards the development of the state.

Seems we share same umbilical cord on this subject, the feeling is mutual,
We all don't want this to become an Achilles Heels of owelle, cos if it is good for him, then it's invariably good for imolites,

it is understandable he will be throwing his hat into the ring of Central polity, Buhari have not reciprocated all the painstaking kind gestures shown him by owelle,

All his formal interconnectedness and informal interconnectivity with the incumbent party and the cic, have not brought the much anticipated developmental expectations to Ndi imo,.

Can't tell what the future portends though, whatever happens, continuity should be the mantra in the polity.

On the flipside, I am gratified with the fact, that he embarked on the cargo terminal project,

We heard he already spent about #7b on the cargo terminal, and still hopeful of reimbursement, but you know, the intrigues from the centre, such hope could be dashed,
Since FG remains incharge of aviation, it's all at their disposition.

See the narrative with enugu, fixing a mere portion of glass cladding became a near mission impossible,

We just hope the runway repairs don't turn out to become a Trojan Horse gift, despite the fact it came at the period when air traffic peaks at the airport,

Now the airport isn't on the list of first batch airports undergoing concessioning, hence, a lot of waiting gonna be exhausted, especially if you factor in the Nigerian delay syndrome,

Now anambra airport is the latest new,
I applaud the involvement of the private sector,
Let's keep a tab on it and see how it pans out.

Aviation industry is rapidly metamorphosing into huge hub in the east.
All in all, we need to be strategic with all these airports, in imo, enugu, asaba, Anambra, Portharcourt,
We must seek ways to ensure that in as much as we want a situation of "the more, the merrier", it doesn't turn to "too many hands spoils the broth"

Is that thing real or a fraud? That Okohia had no access road when some estate agents took me there telling me Okorocha had a very big land in the neighbourhood and would construct it because of personal interest. I wouldn't want to risk going there.

We hope Rochas tells his Commissioners to mandatorily plant trees in the median of this road and ALL other roads & roundabouts in Owerri.

Owerri arguably has generally more beautiful houses than the city in the video. Except for the obvious effort to plant trees / flowers along the roads and sweep that city. Which makes this city only comparable to Abuja in Nigeria.

One day, i sure hope Nigerians would realize that without proper landscaping, cement and concrete alone cannot make any place beautiful.

The house with palm trees belongs to Okorocha himself and as you can see they are planting coniferous trees already as you suggested. This is Nnamdi Azikiwe road just by Mbari.

Kigali is almost like the only city in Rwanda while we have up to 500 cities in Nigeria. Maybe we can compare Kigali with Abuja, Abidjan, Cairk or Washington DC but never Owerri. Maybe in future Owerri will look better if there's continuity of visionary leadership.
