Hephziebah:Please I need more clarification, as a medical doctor practicing in Nigeria and eyeing migrating to Australia via the PR pathway, is it mandatory to must have passed the Australian licensing exam before starting your process of migrating, more or less is it pre-requisite for applying. Hav gone through the initial part of the forum's post am a bit confused Thanks in anticipation of your response. Happy new year 2018 (Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share) |

Eladua: That's not true. You can remark all sections. The probability of change in scores for reading and listening is small but not zero. 1 Like |

teeebest:Alright . I have also read and taken down all that are required for d assessment. The only thing that confuses me is the supervised teaching practice cert aspect, though Oga Bellong said he believes is my first degree cert. For the IELTS I am planning to write it around Feb ending or first week in march. When do you intend writing it or you hv it already. You can PM me |

candycush: what you are asking for is an assurance nobody has. they can make any changes at any time. you have 6 months from now till july. make hay when the sun shines.. however, did you study a 5 year course and what uni did you attend, because that occupation is skill level 1 occupation. |

Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by trastar(f): 10:06pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
drafo: I dont think you can apply as a medical doctor from Nigeria without writing their board exams. However, i think some doctors have applied with occupations in the medical field that doesn't require u to write an exam. when u get to australia, u can now sit for the exams. Look through the list, there are several medical occupations, check the assessing body's website for their requirements and see if you are eligible to apply for those without having to write an exam. Good Luck. 1 Like |

So I was filling the forms for TRA and I noticed a confusing statement that says " completed employer template for each period of employment" Does the period mean each year or just any period while I was employed with the company? Also what does name of issuing authority or accrediting authority supposed to be? Say for UI |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by trastar(f): 11:19pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
candycush: OK. 5 year course is fine then. You already checked and saw it yourself. Occupation lists comes out every July. So yes, changes will occur in July. It may or may not affect you. |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by trastar(f): 11:24pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
stepo707: Period of employment will mean each period u spent with each employer. Period with employer a, period with employer B. Etc. Definitely can't be each year. . Erm..issuing authority for ur transcript? Or degree? Shouldn't that be ur school? |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 11:25pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
candycush: Vetasses is very much particular about the experience to be in the last 5years. Make sure that the experience you want to assess is within that range. Yes, your qualification will be assessed favourably, it is experience you should work on. |

Gr8fulHeart: There is a customer service manager occupation on the list. Meanwhile, how long has your husband been practising? |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 11:28pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
stepo707: Your question is not clear. Template for what? Reference letter or payslip. Issuing authority is whatever institution or organisation that issued your document. |

Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by stepo707: 11:41pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
bellong:Oha Bellong, it's a form that each employer is supposed to fill.its for the payslip part. But that word period confused me. |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by trastar(f): 11:43pm On Jan 01, 2018 |
stepo707: No u should not. You only fill an EOI when you have gotten outcome of your assessment and English test. You need the information on your assessment outcome and English test to fill EOI. Except you intend to lie on your eoi. @eladua has assessed with TRA. I'm also sure they have an FAQ section where all your questions would have been answered |

Gr8fulHeart: https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2017L00850 That's the list. What next to do is read this entire thread and start the process if your occupation is on the list. Good luck. |

drafo: Sincerely, I don't really know about migrating as a doctor but I know that you would have to pass the licensing exams to be able to practise here. Try researching on the DIBP website, there should be information there, doctors here can help with information as well CC: Doctors in here 1 Like |
