I once discussed with one guy in technology section here who advised me against bringing in the gadget because the gadgets in the U.S are made to function in countries using 110 volts. He said the batteries from the U.S are the worst available.

I am really interested in it if I can find an honest technician to do this for me. I'm yet to meet one single honest Nigerian to work for me. Not even one.
]Haba, there are couple of them right here, yes just do some background check on who to deal with, and who not to deal with.

Bros I am still waiting for the drawing sir. I am planning to do a replica on a 50 by 100 land in couples of months. I am planing to sell the land and look for a bigger piece of land before but seen this your project that looks relatively vertical give me an inspiration to go ahead with my plan. It will be an honour sir to get the stuff. Thanks in anticipation.muyiwaolayemi@gmail.com

Have enjoyed following this thread. Building is creative work and watching a good job being done is great. Please keep it up op. I'd like to comment on the view that red bricks save 30% of your costs. We have a brick house in Ikorodu. We struggled to complete it because while we were at it the brick factory nearby closed. The Oregun factory was a no-go zone because its prices were too steep. We ended up at Ibadan, at the factory at Omi Adio where we got the rest of our supply. The other problem was the lack of artisans with the skills required for brickwork. They always claimed to know what to do but I would send them away when the truth could be seen.
At Omi Adio we got in touch with an old man who had a team and the needed experience. That was when things moved.
. If we had used cement blocks the work would have been faster and cost far less than it did to build the carcass. It's a nice house, cool in the Lagos heat, but we won't go near bricks again. The hassle was too much and too expensive.

Kudos to your efforts. I must give it to you, you're really really doing well.

I saw this photo and I kind of wonder why is your chamber not at the same level with your soakaway? Have you sand filled your compound? It's good advice to first take your level and sand fill before building your inspection chambers. As your chamber is currently so lower than your soakaway, you've effectively cut the capacity of your soakaway by some good degree.

But it will serve you no doubt, so well done.

Re: The Nigeria Retirement Home Mastering The Odyssee by desiji: 3:29pm On Jan 10, 2018
@diordaves you are absolutely right with your observation! but if you look critically at the Soakaway it is very high so i lost part of the height due to the chambers been lower but the pipe from the chambers are way below the chambers Height.
it comes when you are not there to supervise and the the itk baba Lati does things sometimes without thinking of the consequences

In my own case, I buried my gas line in the soil with armored hose. The gas cylinder located about 35 feet from the building.
