We can blame these fellow for what they have done wrong. But most of us don't understand what it takes to lead the most populous, most divided, most tribalistic, most religious, most corrupt, most backward nation called NIGERIA. You can be the best Governor in your state,but that cannot make you the best President. As you may be trying hard to please everyone, some people are out there trying to pull you down just to have a point.

the question now is..........WHO IS THE FUTURE PRESIDENT?

WHAT IS THE BEST POLITICAL PARTY IN NIGERIA?

WHICH SET OF PEOPLE WILL BE UNDER THE SUN TO CAST THEIR VOTE COME 2019?

We all rant here and on the election day we all stay indoors.

ALL WE NEED IS BETTER INSTITUTION.....put a dullard as the president, he will perform.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!

On the one hand, I agree that Buhari wasn't the best choice for them to have backed in 2015.

On the other hand, neither was Jonathan. If Jonathan runs again today, I still wouldn't vote for him. At that point, only those two (Jonathan and Buhari) had any realistic chance of winning the election. Those guys simply went with who was, at the time, the lesser evil. Unfortunately, as it turns out, the lesser evil is just as bad as the other evil.

2019 is around the corner and yet, more credible politicians aren't positioning themselves to have a good shot at winning the presidential elections. Instead, it's the same old recycled faces and names that are making the best moves. It's just unfortunate that Nigeria hasn't gotten to the level where an outsider can run and win like what happened in France. In 2019 again, it's looking like Nigerians will end up voting what seems like the lesser of two evils instead of the best option. Sad.

For the afore-mentioned idiots to have campaigned,canvassed and voted for a dead brain who does not even know when he was born,shows that their education was a waste.There's a difference between being intelligent and being educated.These people are educated but they are fools.

Following a viral post about youths, mostly social media influencers which includes; JJ Omojuwa, Debola Williams, Fela Durutoye, Chude Jideonwo, Kola Oyeneyin and Tolu Ogunlesi, who reportedly stole Nigeria's future by reportedly imposing President Buhari on Nigerians during the 2015 Presidential election, some of those in the call out post have reacted.

JJ Omojuwa who first reacted to the post wrote;

"The people behind this image didn’t put their name on it because they are aware that doing that would make the message on the flyer dead on arrival! Two things happened in 2015, a President was voted out, then a president was voted in. Whatever any rational person would say about the disappointments of the Buhari administration, no rational person could have argued then and even NOW in retrospect that that government should have been retained. Emphasis on rational.

Buhari lost three consecutive elections because Nigerians didn’t vote him. Buhari essentially won the 4th one in 2015 because Nigerians decided they’d rather have anything, anyone, whatever but the incumbent. If you still need anyone to explain this to you in 2018 and you have a candidate for 2019 you are supporting or working on his or her strategy, you have already lost because you do not win an election in a cloud of foolishness and a bubble of delusion. Hopefully those behind this can put their names on it, so at least we can know that they are not ashamed to be named! 2015 is done, it will never come back again, tell your wailing friends to prepare for another election instead of wasting erection over an election that ended three years ago! God bless Nigeria!"

Debola Williams on his own part wrote;

"Many times, we all judge people from our cracked lenses; the the world becomes blurry and everyone crooked. Don’t blame anyone, a man can only see from his vantage.
For out of the abundance of a mans heart, he dishes to others. Remember those who wanted to stone the adulterer but couldn’t when the spotlight was turned on them?
Yes. That’s the world we live in.
Stay with your truth and have compassion on all, hoping one day together we will help fix the lenses and they can see the world fairly with clarity."

Fela Durutoye rumored to have indicated interest in contesting for 2019 Presidential election, wrote;

"#RIP ... Mass burial at IBB Square in Makurdi . Thurs.11.1.2018

I am  by the tragic loss of lives in Adamawa, Benue and in Rivers and Kaduna and Borno & just way too many to mention all across our nation.
.
Priceless lives and destinies cut short by the savage acts of the worthless souls of some demonic and demented terrorists ravaging our nation.
.
I wish I could call for/declare 3days of mourning but someone will misconstrue it as a political statement.

But can we as human beings just please forget about politics for one precious moment ... WE are ALL Nigerians & all children of GOD so WE really are ONE FAMILY. These are OUR brothers and sisters & if these savagery acts of killings and terror all across Nigeria don’t touch your heart or move you to tears, to mourn and to at least want (and try) to take action to solve this problem TOGETHER, then I doubt your humanity.
.
We must MOURN together with the bereaved families ... and remember that WE ARE ONE FAMILY.

So, in any way we can, please let us show love & offer words and acts of kindness to the bereaved; perhaps we may just give them a little bit of Comfort at this time of darkness.
.
We must however remember that weeping may endure for a night ... and YES! This is our night season of gross darkness ... but just hold on Nigeria ... our light is about to break forth and joy will be restored when our dawn breaks all across our land from East to West ... from North to South.

Until then, we must mourn with those who mourn and our hearts offer sincere prayers for their comfort.
.
And finally, please remember that nothing can be called a problem except it has a solution, otherwise it wouldn’t be called a problem. Together, we can solve this problem if we choose to focus on the solution rather than who to blame for it. There is always enough blame to go round for every tragic situation. What we need now are constructive ideas that can be implemented by one and all. Those that are attacking us are united & only with unity can we defeat these terrorists.
.
But for now, we mourn ... and pray for strength, wisdom and courage to act aright.
.
God bless you and May God comfort our bereaved nation Nigeria.

GEJ was a failure whose government looted Nigeria dry and plunged us into what we are suffering today so we booted him out thinking Buhari would bring the change he promised. Also, we thought he was going to fight corruption to a stand still but he proved us wrong and he has shown he has no plan nor pathway to put Nigeria on a path of recovery. Therefore, both APC and PDP has failed us having entrusted them with our votes at different times. They've proved to us that neither has the zeal to change Nigeria.

I hope Nigerians boot out Buhari and his cohorts out in 2019 but I hope they don't make the mistake of voting for Atiku or whoever APC and PDP has to offer. I hope we vote for a candidate we've tested and trusted just because he provided his plans on how to save Nigeria and not what he will construct nor build, not someone who will focus on zoning his appointments to satisfy every political zone but someone who has a plan on how to resolve the many banes in the country!

Nigerian top political parties don't always present ideal candidates. We have always had to choose the less evil candidate. 2017 might still be between Buhari and Atiku.

There is a stark illogic to the assertion that GEJ's incompetence justified voting/supporting Buhari. It's like saying we should vote or support Fani-Kayode or Rochas for president, if they ran, because Buhari is incompetent. There is no logic to supporting what should be an obviously unsuitable candidate to remove an unsuitable president.

A problem with the Buharists in the run up to the 2015 election was the gusto with which they painted Buhari as the second coming of a messiah. This was not a message of vote for Buhari because GEJ is awful, but vote for Buhari because he is what Nigeria needs.

I beg to differ.

The question is: Why would people vote for a candidate they rejected in three previous attempts in lieu of an incumbent President?

2015 was a matter of anyone but GEJ. There is no guarantee that any candidate will be the saviour. The votes were the voice of the masses.

All these debates about PMB vs GEJ show that Nigerians are destined to remain aloof. A serious nation would have embarked on a soul-searching meditation/assessment to figure out why the likes of GEJ and PMB were their only main choices. There will be little hope for Nigeria when Nigerians start comparing good vs. evil instead of this nauseating mediocre vs. mediocre comparisons that litter the space.
Things are worse now than they were under GEJ. But that doesn't mean that GEJ's tenure is the benchmark. People bought into "change" because they wanted something good. Although their hopes and aspirations were quashed by the incompetent Buhari's administration, it does not negate the fact that Jonathan was equally as horrible a leader as it could get.

Nigeria has never had a good leader. That's all.

Forget about anyone selling an imaginative future that is non existent. Never followed any of these guys on social media until recently-I think,one of them now. Folks should stop crying foul about 2015 election,which obviously presented two options. A & B- the polity was structured that way!
Just tired of reading Tinubu did this,Omojuwa did that, to influence voters. Utter rubbish!

See no one influenced anyone. I, alongside millions of Nigerians were willing to boot out the Jonathan Administration because what we see today actually began to deteriorate under Jonathan's administration. We all bought into Buhari and APC's manifesto for Change. We did just that and changed the PDP government in power. Now 3 years down the line, things have gone from bad to worse, we will change the Change again to someone and something else. If our votes counted during the last elections, I see no reason why it wouldn't count in 2019. All these political parties and politicians are liars. It is how it is all over the world. The crux of the matter is that our votes now count. Let's make it count again in 2019.

I have long realised that ours is a country where people use emotion, rather than logic. Our education system too has not helped, rather than help people think, it turns them into zombies. in most of our universities what makes you get big mark is your ability to memorise your lecturers' note. Whatever your teachers give you, you chew and regurgitate it and you have your mark. No need to digest anything. It is our way of life and it reflects in everything we do. In the build up to last election, what particularly caught my attention is one of Tinubu's campaign statement, talking about Buhari's certificate saga, Tinubu went ahead and said: 'Certificate or no certificate; qualified or no qualified, Buhari must be president'. I was taken aback that even those who spent years in school pursuing qualifications and many professionals didn't see anything wrong with that statement. Why should they now complain about Buhari's incompetence? That was never a subject for discussion during the build up to 2015 election. Greed, prejudice, hate, etc are what drive most of our political discourse.
