Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by frankkky: 12:45pm On Jul 21, 2010
@poster let me give you my honest advice,as a nigerian your chances of being granted an asylum in norway is almost zero, you know why?norway offically lists nigeria as a safe country, your story would be listened to and at the end of the day you will be given a letter for you to leave the country, this whole process takes a maximum time of six months, that is from the the time you apply for asslyum till the time they reply, during this time you would be given an asylum seekercard with a validity of six month(mind you this card entitles you to nothing in norway or europe,it is just to identfy you as an asylum seeker).
Your only way is if you are lucky to get a citizen there to marry(but this again my brother is difficult)but then like i always say life is a game of chances, but all in all it is very difficult to get asylum as a nigerian, the only slight possibillity and i say slight is for you to claim you are gay, look for another guy,(damn!i shouldnt be saying this here)tell them you want to get married as gays in nigeria but nigeria laws are against gay marriage.
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by mi2010: 4:10pm On Jul 21, 2010
@frankky. thank u so much for what u have just advice to me. im really really scared now, what am i going to do now,/ i have spent a lot of money for this travelling and now i have gotten my visa. plz can someone tell me what i should do now? im confused!!!!!!!
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by princeonx: 6:29pm On Jul 21, 2010
@frankkky: Ol'boy you bad Oh  grin you wan make them vaseline our guy yash say him be gay? @mi 2010: what type of visa did they issue you? is it a schengen visa or just visa to Norway? Another thing is, this one wey you don begin shake! hope its not a business visa cux that will require you to have some money (couple of thousand) for BTA. Well like I said before and few people have also said the same thing! it will be a tough trip and am not sure you'll last 6months in the Aduro camp like frankkky said. Nigerian are known for fake stories at almost every Asylum camp in the world and we are also known for fake document so they really wont waste time (6months) to confirm or investigate what they already concluded to be false story. My brother was there for about 5 or 6 weeks because he was a minor (claimed to be 15), the other guys (older) that went there with him same day were all denied Aduro within 2 weeks! all of them. The only people given asylum card for about 6 months pending investigation are Somalians that went there with them. All the naija guys were all given letters to leave the country within 2 weeks of their stay at the camp. All the same, it still depend on your asylum story.  The only advise I can give you now is to make contact in other part of Europe. After about 5 or 6 weeks in the camp, my brother was also denied a stay but because he claimed to be 15, he was posted to a shelter and his file and aduro story was transfered to the naija embassy so that they can locate his parents or family in nigeria mainwhile they gave him a 3months temporal stayHe was give about $190 equivalent a month. Anyway to cut long story, he had to pay ($500) to someone that still have a valid schengen visa to use it with the person's passport to relocate to swiss (he destroyed his when he got there). So your best bet is to make contact in other part of Europe and if your visa is not schengen, you wont be able to go to other part of Europe with it. You will have to pay someone to use their own kpali with schengen visa on it to leave except if you have some real $$$$$$ which I doubt to pay their women to marry or settle (rent and etc) with one.
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by deoyel25(m): 9:54pm On Jul 21, 2010
@Poster, see where you landed yourself now. Upon all the advice given to you on your previous thread (Sweden, Uk, South Cyprus and Finland Which one is easy for huzzling). Dont worry, you will turn to gay. Go with enough vaselin to rub your yansh. grin grin grin grin
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by frankkky: 11:45am On Jul 22, 2010
@poster you dont need to be scared or confused, forget about norway aduro camp, those guys will Bleep you up,you could try swiss as some peeps advised here but the truth is that europe is beginging to discourage immigration and as such they are making tougher laws everyday,if i may ask what are you doing presently in nigeria?cant you start a little business or something?or you are only interested in traveling out?look around you am sure you can find something, the lord can bless you wherever you are, just have faith,i know a friend who made millons in niamey in niger one of the poorest places in the world,he went into clothes business there,so my brother its not always a matter of location but how hardworking you are and the grace of GOD,mr a could come to europe and say its hard while mr b can come and make it in the same europe, thats life for you,i remember when i first came here i really suffered but through the grace of GOD today i am doing ok,so do a soul search and discover what you really want, life is full of risks so its risky not to take risks but please take risks that are legal,GOD BLESS YOU
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by Zarmata: 1:00pm On Jul 22, 2010
@poster  As wise boys here have already advised you, think twice before seeking asylum in Norway. Or any Scandinavian country,  or Europe. You will not get resident permit that way. Too many have tried and all of them failed. And I'm not sure Frankky's idea of faking to be a gay helps u. There is a similar case here in Finland (a gay from Gambia seeking asylum) and it's not looking very good for him either.

Getting a job in Norway (or any Scandinavian country) is difficult if u don't speak the local language. U might get a job as cleaner or dish washer, but living with that salary in these very expensive countries,  not really a dream come true.

Like brothers here have told u, finding a woman, getting married and maybe even having a child, might sound an easy and quick solution for getting the resident permit. But not even that procedure is 100% certain. There are plenty of men who have tried that and failed. We blond blue-eyed women may be foolish and fall for sweet talking, but our authorities are not and if they get a slightest suspicion of fake marriage, it's bye-bye.

I agree with Frankky: Take risks but please take risks that are legal.  smiley

@prince onx, i was just issue Norway visa,
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by worry246(m): 5:51pm On Jul 22, 2010
If you were not stupid you could find all you inrormation by Google search!

All applications for asylum (to Spain) applied within the country undergo a preliminary procedure to decide if
they are admissible or not, the so called admissibility procedure. The applicant must be able to prove
his/ her identity, fill in a standard questionnaire, submit a statement about the fear of persecution and
then undergo an interview. Normally the interview will take place within a few days. The asylum
seeker has the right to free legal assistance and advice, normally arranged by the refugee-assisting
NGO’s, and an interpreter.
An official from the Minsterio del Interior7 at the OAR in Madrid is responsible for examining all the
applications and for preparing a report on their admissibility or inadmissibility. The decision must be
made within 60 days. When it’s evident an application is inadmissible, a representative from the
ACNUR8 must be informed before the decision of inadmissibility is made. The ACNUR should have
the opportunity to express their opinion and to give a recommendation within 10 days. However, this
recommendation is not binding.
Asylum applicants, who are waiting for a decision on whether their application is going to be admitted
into the procedure or not, have to find their own accomodation and may have to rely on public
shelters. Due to the lack of good public shelters this can lead to very difficult situations. Exceptions
can be made but only in case of vulnerable applicants.
If there is a negative decision on admissibility, the asylum seeker can lodge an appeal at the National
High Court in Madrid. The appeal does not automatically have a suspensive effect, however this can
be requested from the Court. If he/ she doesn’t appeal, he/ she has to leave Spain within 15 days.
Another option is to apply for a new asylum procedure in case there is new evidence to support the
claim.
Asylum seekers admitted to the procedure are given provisional identity cards. Social workers from
the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs at the OAR Office in Madrid, assign asylum seekers to
reception centres. It’s not obligatory to live in a reception centre. If someone can arrange
accomodation for him/ her self it’s possible to live there. In some cases a basic monthly allowance is
Page 3
granted. The average time a procedure takes is between 6 months and 2 years, sometimes longer.
Ultimately around 96% of the asylum applications are rejected.

@mi 2010: If you were just issued a Norway visa, then you can't go to anyother part of Europe with it. I wont advise you to also go to Spain to seek Aduro cause they claim you have a better chance if you enter the country by land or sea (that's what they told my brother). In a knot shell, simply follow your heart. Don't be discouraged with all the negative talk and ideas you're reading here eventhough they are almost all true. Everybody had different experience when they moved abroad, for some it was easy while hell for others. Do what you have to do and pray for God's favour. The truth is that it wont be easy but its doable. My younger brother would've gone back to naija if not for me and to be honest with you, if he wasn't my brother i wont take those calls cause the wahala/$$$$ involve is too much. Finally, someone advised you to stay away from anything against the law or illegal but the truth is " e go hard oh" Your thoughts and plans already is on how to break the system when you get there cause your visa wont let you do what you really want to do when you get there. You might have to destroy your kpali when you get there before seeking Aduro if you will, you might have to use someone else kpali to relocate if you chose to, when you leave the aduro camp with your negative letter giving you 15days to leave and you decide to stay is all illegal and against the law. The only way you wont break the law or do anything illegal to stay is if you're going on a work visa or a residence visa/permit which is not the case here. Anyway, almost everybody that traveled on a regular visa went through some tough time/road so follow your heart and goodluck.

"Is Finland a good country?" Depends on what is a good country. undecided

Finland is fairly safe, clean, advanced and civilized country. Standard of living is high, but living costs, food, fuel, clothes, cars, basicly everything is expensive. Taxation is one of the highest in Europe. But then u get almost free health service & all sort of support from the goverment, if u happen to be justified to get any.
People are a bit weird around here. grin Friendly when u get to know them well, but shy and introverted at first. Unfortunately due to the recession racism is rising again and there are too many narrow-minded people.
Weather and the 4 seasons (loooooong winter!) are one of the most difficult things to handle. Of course it is a question of right attitude. grin grin grin
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by frankkky: 10:03am On Jul 23, 2010
@poster for papers spain is your best bet,and you be better be fast about it because europe is putting serious pressure on spain to toughen their immigration laws and they will soon do that, spain is the only country in europe that lagalised almost a million illegal iimmgrants in 2005 in one swoop(675,000 to be exact),honestly they gave hope to a lot of friends i know who were without papers for donkey years in other european countries.though right now the economy of spain is not doing so well but i belive it will pick up soon,in spain they have this law called "arrago social"that is if you can prove you have been in living in the country for 3 years, you would be legalised, and one thing i noticed in spain is that most of the guys there didnt have to marry oyinbo to get their papers, forget about the aduro camp in spain because 90% of nigerians who got their paoers there never went through aduro so dont even go there so as not to spoil your chances thank GOD you have a visa to norway, with that you can enter spain easily, forget about the big cities in spain for now,go the rural areas(which are modern by the way)here you can get easily get more information from many of the immgrant offices there, goodluck!!!

Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by mi2010: 5:43pm On Jul 23, 2010
@prince onx. u are a great man. ur advice always makes my heart harden about this journey. "i will take the bull by the horn" if i will stay in prison in norway, is better than having free liberty in Nigeria with everyday stress, no steady power supply, no job, no clean water, insecurity, juju people, deadly mosquitos, okada riders wahalas, molue headache, village wahala etc, oh boy!! nigeria don tire me. Im going to norway on God favors. cheers!!!!!!!!

Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by mi2010: 6:00pm On Jul 23, 2010
@my good friend frankkky, thank u for the good luck, but plz i dont understand wat u mean by this, i should not go there so that i will not spoil my chances, do u mean not to go in asylum camp in spain? then if not wat will be my statue in spain? if i dont have statue i will be illegal. if i will go to spain, i have to seek asylum so that i will not be illegal, thank u once again
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by Zarmata: 8:07pm On Jul 23, 2010
@ Mi 2010 : Thank you for ur kind words. No, I'm not a student anymore. I live in Finland, I was born here. That's why u might notice the little pessimism in my words.

Like all around the Europe there is a recession in the Finnish economy too. It's getting better day by day, but still the unemployment figures are quite desperate to look at. The average salary is around 2500 euros, but remember that there are some really high salaries that rise that average and most of the people earn much less than that. And while it may sound like a nice salary, the living costs are high also.

Norway and Finland share few hundred kilometres of borderline up in the north. More information about seeking asylum u can get from here http://www.pakolaisneuvonta.fi/index_html?lang=eng
Read it carefully and think twice, maybe seeking asylum is not the best way to get into Europe, not to Scandinavia anyway.

Whatever u decide: Good luck and God bless you!
Re: Moving To Norway Soonest by NOSCAM: 8:43pm On Jul 23, 2010
Thank you justwise, na me and you dey always rescue the real fool here. How could u have a Norway visit visa and your intention is to go and seek Asylum there. I pity for you, Wy don't u go to Norway and come back legalise your stay to any country. Even people that are legal here in Dublin are suffering not to talk of Norway Non-English speaking country. Why una dey love to suffer unasef like dis

You Passport with your Norway visa can be changed to 4-5years Student visa only if u apply wisdom.

Wae up man, nothing dey for Europe again, na hide we sef jus hide our head here O!
