I sent you a pm. I am in onitsha. Just want to know where I can get the texts and the cost. Chemistry, biology, and physics

Check out my post on how to get EXPLICIT BIOLOGY.

For lamlard Chemistry,Lamlard physics and the One-time-success series, since you reside in Onitsha,go to Johnson bookshop Ugwuta Road and get it.

what's excretion? the removal of wastes from metabolic(anabolic or catabolic) processes in the body..... this is done through some organs like the lungs, skin etc....

the process of excretion shouldnt be mistaken for *egestion" ...

which simply is a process where faeces are passed out of the body......
large intestine takes part in "egestion" not in "excretion"... ... .. option D is right...

PHYSICS

Please who is SURE of the answer to this question....

You know that the nature of the image formed by a concave mirror when the object is placed at infinity is REAL, INVERTED, DIMINISHED and LOCATED AT THE PRINCIPAL FOCUS of the mirror.

But the question now is,WHEN THE OBJECT IS PLACED AT THE PRINCIPAL FOCUS OF A CONCAVE MIRROR,WHAT IS ITS NATURE

Many books give different answers to this question. Please let somebody who is SURE of the answer clear the air here.....

Egestion is also a form of excretion, though D-Large intestine is correct but it is a digestive organ

BIOLOGY

An organism X lives entirely on the waste products in another organism Y. In this association,X is a...
A) symbiont
B) commensal
C) saprophyte
D) parasite
E) epiphyte

This question is confusing because if you answer (B),you are right because the organism X lives IN Y and feeds on its waste products which means that it does not cause any harm to it.Also,if you answer (C),you are also right because the waste product is a decaying matter............

I NEED EXPLANATIONS.
Referring to something as waste product doesn't necessarily mean it is decayed. It takes time before something begins to decay.. Bread remnants are regarded to as waste but we don't see moulds on them immediately after putting them in the bin.

C is wrong because 'the waste products' MAY probably still not be decayed. And recall saprophytes feed on DEAD/DECAYED organic matter. It would have been removed before then(through excretion) but the other organism, being present, makes use of the products.
Now look at it from this angle; Y neither gains nor loses(if X isn't there it'll carry out excretion in the normal way). X derives benefit but doesn't lose(it's the commensal).

And again saprophytism involves only one organism but here, there're two.
So therefore the answer should be B.

My thorough thought though.

Thank you.

Yes it is. Some schools do consider not all but only a small percentage is given to the o level grades.
Don't bother yourself about your ssce grades.
Prepare well and score high in your exams(UTME and post UTME)

I don't think an image will be formed since its nature cannot be determined.

What do I know?

What do I know?

You know that in physics, infinity does not mean 'the horizon' or a very far distance.Infinity as a concept in physics and in the use of spherical mirrors and lenses in determination of the image position relative to the object position implies a distance JUST LONGER THAN THE PRINCIPAL AXIS OF THE MIRROR OR LENS in question.Based on this, the features of an image formed at infinity can be studied. You can browse it or check textbooks for confirmation.

But my problem is the nature or characteristics of that image formed at infinity, when the object is placed at the principal focus of a concave mirror........
.....Even my physics teacher had a different answer to the one I saw in books........so am confused.....

A.

The word 'pyrrhic' was derived from pyrrhus.
He won a war after losing many soldiers... In other words, he paid a COSTLY price.

B may look enticing but it's actually D

Carrying the can= taking/accepting responsibility
But in this context, I think it's wrong.

Since he REFUSED to identify the culprit, he cannot take responsibility. But he can be made to face the consequences(bear the brunt=carry the can).

According to google.

Phyrrhic victory is a victory in which the victor's losses are as equal as those of the defeated. It is also called cadmean victory.

So from this definition, it won't be wrong to say thet his success is costly.
