Hey boss
I will be sitting for UTME this year and i applied for MBBS.
I am an average science student.
I am not doing well in physics and chemistry.
I really need ur advice on how to study those subjects... I dont even understand physics... I study, study and study but i dont still understand it. I really need ur advice. How did u study for physics during ur own time?
I wont let physics and chemistry stand on my way of becoming a med doctor.

I believe a problem shared is half solved thats why i posted it here.
Thanks in advance and God bless u.

Y don't u get one of ur friends dat is good at physics and chemistry to be ur tutor.

I used to have problems with chemistry too but wen I took my time to study it, I found it quite interesting

Exams were batch by batch until the last set wrote.

Then, around 7pm on Sunday, got a whatsapp message that results had been released... shocked
Jesu kriste! After some minutes, same guy sent the pdf(of our results) to me... Chai! And I was already eating.. Nah, nah I thought.. I must finish this food before I check anything. In case... You know na undecided.
I cannor coman kee myself angry
Rushed my food with shaky hands.. Took a deep breath. Picked up my phone.
Hands were now more shaky(this happens to everyone unless you're emotionless angry)

Opened, searched for my name...

Couldn't believe my eyes.. shocked

I made 86%!
My joy knew no bounds. cheesy

Ps. Guys, this isn't gloating.. I'm just stating these facts to see if at least I'll be able to encourage some young guns out there....
Thanks.
u are brainy

Physics and chemistry

You were in the sciences in sec school, weren't you?

You should have had good foundations in those subjects..

Well, nothing is impossible.

I think the reason you find it hard to understand them is that you do not have interest in them. Say for example you're reading a novel(esp one you find very interesting), you'll be able to recall most of its contents verbatim.. That's just it! I also think you see it as work(an unpleasant/boring one!) when reading. You've got to delete that mindset... Yeah, change it!
Do not see it as a burden and trust me, you'll be fine. My tips wouldn't help if I didn't tell you all that. And as for the tips, I had given some earlier..

Thank you

Chief there is still much time to study for this coming jamb. just plan your work and stick to it study very hard and get those textbooks mastermind has stated above.
Be more attractive to the area you could find difficult in your study. revision also goes a long way in studying, you may choose 30min after your study to revise those topic giving you tough time if you have done with your reading on the topic before and try solving question on it, the more you do this the simpler the load.
Try following the syllabus up to know the important topic you really need to study and plan on how to cover it up within this short period of time because some time people study unnecessary materials and they think they are on the point in which they are off #key.
Try to read and study wide.
#lamlard is very useful when it come to Jamb and I bet you you can finished the textbook within a month cause the textbook is not that bulky but require your dedication and concentration.

prepare for the worse and pray for the best.

hope this could be helpful sir.
Thank you
Re: My Medical School Diary by Nobody: 7:42am On Jan 07, 2018
So guys, here we are still waiting for resumption angry
Registration/screening starts soon.

Now I know why year 1 is always stressful.. There are just many things to do! But the catch here is that the courses you'll be offering are still in their premature forms(faculty of science).. wink cheesy
This is where some people lose out.. Oh yeah, you've gained admission to medical school.. You feel you're on top of the world(delusions of grandeur) undecided Berra calm down there angry.. Okay, okay you worked really hard to get here, nice! And you want to start forming abi? Nah, it's not laidat na... Sit down and be humble.. undecided Have you forgotten the reward for hard work is more work? Yeah, a harder one.. Getting into medical school is competitive and staying is another thing cos you'll meet with one of the smartest chaps you ever seen. Yeah, that's why we call it 'Medical school' I now know many sef smiley

So, still getting ready... I think it'll be better to relax now cos one will have the time of his/her life in school..
There are many distractions but one just has to be careful and focused.. tongue

Some rules I'll be going with are...

Do not fall behind(you know na, in your studies!)
You know what happens when the class is ahead of you?
When they're treating a new topic you're lost cos you're still on the one they did last two weeks. Lool.. It's a very funny situation. You'll just sit there with your ugly face(yeah, you're ugly cos you don't know anything) grin That feeling bad gaan.. It(medical school) is actually about say 85% self improvement and 15% teamwork(with your course mates na). So don't even think of not reading(or revising what was taught in class) esp when school has fully resumed angry
Don't fall in love...
This one matters very much. One hot babe from another department saw your name among the top 3 on the list, decided to chat you up... undecided
Or you met this one in school, you toast lipsrsealed am.. She gree.. Oga calm down o cos if you don't your gp go let you know what's happening. And you know what's next after that.. undecided No no, you can't say you'll be able to fully focus when you're in love. Research has it that falling in love makes one unproductive(God epp me I don't fall in love, at least for now angry)
Yeah, when you're in love you lose focus. Don't come here and tell me that you can manage angry
Distractions(esp when the other party isn't faithful)... So, in order to avoid stories that touch, avoid falling in love angry
Nah, it's not for us.. Kolewerk.. Lai Lai..
I used to have this girl whom I liked in sec school.. I realised I had to let all those things go o.. I can't come and let anyone make me aimless... angry

Hello friends,I can see that many are really brainstorming for this forthcoming JAMB.But the truth is that if you study with the wrong textbooks, you are bound to score low in the exam because JAMB asks very technical questions.

I will be very wicked if I don't let you know of this JAMB gold mine I stumbled upon in my quest to score higher in JAMB.I don't have many words to say but I can assure you that if you can procure and study these books(EXPLICIT BIOLOGY,LAMLAD CHEMISTRY and INVISCIBLE TEACHER) before JAMB,YOU ARE COMING OUT WITH 300plus IN THIS EXAM!.I am not the author neither am I a distributor, but I saw what is good and with some of my friends(who scored 322 and 298 respectively in last year's JAMB) live testimony of these books and decided to share with you........and I can help you to procure them.......

I got my EXPLICIT BIOLOGY delivered to me from Lagos few days ago via GUO motors.See the picture below......

How to get the books....
1)For EXPLICIT BIOLOGY,click on the facebook link >> https://m.facebook.com/Explicit-Biology-279198762134044/?refid=12&ref=opera_speed_dial << and chat him up.OR, You can just search for EXPLICIT BIOLOGY on facebook or you call/text>>08024761905<<.He will assist you on how to get the book sent to nearest bus terminal to you.You can tell him that it is CHUKWUEMEKA that bought the book from anambra that gave you their contact,SO THAT THEY MIGHT CONSIDER GIVING YOU SOME DISCOUNT.

2)For English textbook(INVISCIBLE TEACHER by Dele Ashade) and LAMLAD CHEMISTRY,I can buy it from Onitsha and send it to you via transport. The only thing is that It will be costly. For instance, before I could get explicit biology,I spent upto 4250naira to procure it from Lagos to Anambra due to transport and also due to the diamond bank they use as a medium of payment is not located around my residence,so I had to travel to another town to be able to make the payment.IT IS ALL ABOUT DETERMINATION.I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANY SACRIFICE TOO BIG TO GET ME INTO MEDICAL SCHOOL THIS YEAR......

So if you are ready, you let me know.

*I got my own within three days of placing the order.Look at the picture I uploaded,it's still new*

.. lol... lemme use this question to explain a very important aspect of studying "understanding".... .. now from the questions, someone that has read biology books orr been taught will easily know that "photosynthesis and transpiration" is common to just plants... right? good!! so they are out of the answer. option C(move) is also out Cox some organisms can not move. ... so it remains just option E(feed) and optionB (respire)... "

Feeding has to do with intake of food which is mostly common to most animals, some saprophytes and some carnivorous plant... most green plants don't feed they "photosynthesize"...... ...

Respiration is the biochemical process of breaking down certain organic molecules(mostly carbohydrates e. g glucose) in the body to produce energy for the organism... ... without this an organism will die.... .... so.. from the above the answer is option B....... all organism respire..........

understanding the question to an answer is the key... ajet001... neurojosh is around oo
