There's one written in English I think, they normally send it in two languages, which are English and German
Hmmm, the pdf file sent to me was one and the content all written in German. Someone suggested I use google translate and the content was just evaluation. Thanks.

Yes. I registered 29th december. I'm a little bit worried. Do you have an idea how long Stralsund takes in replying admission letter. Thanks.

Sorry over the situation, every disappointment is a blessing. Relax, you will surely overcome very soon and your dream of schooling in Germany must actualize by God's Grace.
I was equally affected by the winter 2017/2018 visa appointment trauma, but its all a thing of the past now.

My opinion: Why not choose some other courses that you are sure are done both in summer and winter semesters, or if possible, courses/schools that you can easily defer your admission to the next semester since this limited appointment slot is becoming a regular thing and its becoming tighter every semester.
Once u're in Germany, you can apply for your preferred course or switch over to it.

Just my opinion.

Please our gurus and ogas in the house, kindly advice in your own opinions.

Thanks @metabolite01
I wonder how you were able to quickly find a solution between then and now. your suggestion has given me some thought. I just have to find a course that wouldn’t veer way off my Civil Engineering area (courses in this area, tutored in English are too few with few intakes all in winter alone. Although you can find a lot in German language)so I can defend it well during the interview. But I also don’t know how to check if a program runs both in winter and summer.

Please our other gurus and ogas in the house, your advice in your own opinions is still needed.[/quote]

Just tell them what you think is right or what you think you can defend in case of further questions. But I'll advice you be truthful, sincere and plain, so you don't lose your confidence especially when further questions as regard that arise.

Anyway, you may be lucky enough not to be asked such question because that isn't one of the mandatory or frequently asked questions.

My personal experience was that my VO didnt ask me about having anyone in Germany or in Europe. I was only asked if I've been to Germany, France or Italy before. I was also asked if I've applied for a German visa before. Those were the few questions I was asked as regard that area and they were jusr straight questions (dat is, it never led to further questions on that).

So just be truthful at least, because your relationship with the person doesn't really matter because it won't be the criteria for deciding the success of your visa application. If you answer yes in case you are asked, and the VO decide to ask your relationship with the person, you can simply say the person is a distant relative as you've claimed in your post.

Success in your forthcoming interview. It will surely end in joy, praise, jubilation and testimony.

Don't complicate your own matter. This is a simple question, no need to complicate it. If you have a relative say yes, if not say no.

Definition of relative according to Google: A person connected by blood or marriage.

To know if a course is done both for summer and winter, it will be directly or indirectly stated there, just as it was obvious to you that most of the courses you saw are just in winter semester only.

Also, in most German educational search engine, there is always availability for you to filter or streamline your search to suit your preferred choices. So when filtering, just click both summer and winter semester, then a lot of courses will pop out, from there you can see courses that are done in summer alone, winter alone and both. But its rare to see courses that are only done in summer, so to my little knowledge, I believe if the course is done in summer then there is also a possible/probability that is might also be done in winter as well.

Success as you embark on the search. Your labour shall be fruitful. Amen

Hello people,

Mehn, I must admit I am already beginning to panic about my chances for this summer semester.

People are already getting their AM's and I have not even gotten admission letter. I really wonder why some schools delay their admission process.

I have only two schools left that I am hoping will admit me, and I am not even too confident about it. The first one is University of Bayreuth. In this case, they said chemistry is a must in my first degree and chemistry was not part of the courses I offered in my first degree. Even though I wrote a strong motivation letter where I even stated that I wouldn't mind doing a self study to level up my chemistry knowledge, I am still not too confident about the admission because the course is highly competitive.

The second and last option is FAU. I am 100% confident of landing this admission, but I am in a very worrying situation at the moment because of NIPOST. I sent my documents to the school since 12th of December 2017 and till today no confirmation yet that they have received my documents and my application status on their portal has not changed.

Please, has anyone here gotten or still expecting to get admission from FAU or Bayreuth for summer semester?

I am really worried right now.

My status has not changed to VALID, it is still showing RECIEVED which means they might still not have received my documents. You see why I am kinda worried??

My course is MSc. Climate and Environmental Science.

It depends on when uni-assist forward your documents to them. It takes approximately 2weeks to get your admission letter after Uni-assist forward your application to the school. You wasted time in applying to Uni-assist sha! If you had registered say 1st week of December, you would have gotten your admission letter by now.

Well, the dhl price depend on some factors: Your current location and the destination.

If its for blocked account, then it should be addressed to the Deutsch Bank address in Germany.
If its for the student visa, then it will be addressed from the Germany consulate in Lagos to your personal address or any address you intend using.

Price from Warri Delta State as at late last year: International (To Germany) its about N18,300 or so. Then if its local (To or from Lagos) then its about N4200 or so.
Like I said, it depend on which state your are, as it can be lower or higher.

Hi how about sending documents from abuja to german consulate lagos for legal seal before i use it to apply to schools in germany.
How much will dhl charge?

For certification of documents at the German consulate in Lagos, you dnt send documents through whatever means or courier. You go there in person.
Book an appointment with the embassy for documents certification. Appointments for dis purpose is always available unlike dat of visa interview appointment.

Mind you, confirm from your school if the certification can be done at a court or public notary, so you save yourself the stress, time and cost of traveling to Lagos

You have to go German embassy yourself because certification of docs cant be sent TO Lagos embassy thru DHL.
And if you are considering the cost and distance just go and seal your docs at high court (federal).
