Bro, the actions of the Landlord are in line with Section 8 of the Rivers State Recovery of Premises Law.

At the expiration of your rent, you are entitled to 7 days Notice of Owner's Intention to Apply for Recovery of Premises. Thereafter, he'll take you to court to retrieve possession of the property.

okay so what do you advise i do because right now i am a bit down financially and I've pleaded with him to give me at least one month but he refused... Is there anyway i can delay the process a bit?

Plead with him. Tell him you're a bit down financially but you're willing to pay for every extra time spent there once you're a bit financially stable.

In the alternative, talk to his lawyer and ask him to speak to his client. Litigation would take longer than the extra one month you want to spend there.

He should oblige you.
