It is obviously not true. He went to open the gate, left his door open with the key in the ignition. That's not a sign of someone who wants to rape a lady. Also, he never touched her until she took his keys. My guess is that he struggled with her to get his keys back not to rape her. Finally, he did not tear of her top, trousers or any of her dressings while struggling with her. Rapists usually go for your items of clothing covering sensitive parts of the womans body. There is no evidence that points to that(if there where, the lady would have produced it by now either via video, audio or her clothing). Supposing there is a condition that you should vacate a taxi whose trip has been cancelled, then the actress ought to have vacated the car. I read the comment of a Taxify driver on Bella Naija and he wrote that the woman ought to have stepped out of the car since the driver had cancelled the trip.

Driving her to a location unknown to her does not mean a kidnap charge could easily be made against him. In law, there is a men's rea which means an intent to commit a crime or criminal responsibility. This is something that must be sufficiently proven to make such a charge in this case.

I have listened to both sides of the story and one thing is clear from this post- Shola is lying and doing everything to suit her narrative.

If she's telling the truth and the guy really wanted to rape her she'll release the whole video, not in parts. I know women. The fact that the video is edited, muted in some parts and she buts in now and then with commentary, points to the fact that she's guilty. She was actually the one threatening the driver instead from what I see in the video.

If someone wants to kidnap/rape you they won't come down from the driver's side and leave the door open. Moreso, if he left the key in the ignition what stops her from driving off? It's clear to a clever person that she's lying big time.

Thank you, o! That is the only grouse I have with the driver. At last, someone has spelt it all out, with good sense. The driver could easily have made a U-turn, and taken her back to where he picked her. Or even taken her to any public place that was still open, (e.g. car park of a busy restaurant, general hospital emergency section, or even a 24-hour petrol station, with security personnel around) and get plenty eye-witnesses that could intervene in the matter!

The Lady and the guy lives in the same Estate. He was in his house when he got a request for another ride. He drove over to her house (same estate) picked her up. He asked her where she was going, she told him to just go that she'll tell him on their way. The only reason she would say this was because he'll probably not agree to go to that destination ( maybe its far or a bad area. And we are talking 12 midnight) The guy know this too and still right in front of her house, told her he wasn't going anymore. She refuses to come down from the car. She tells him that she has to get another Taxify before she comes down. Again, considering the time and location, this might not be easily achieved. Guy gets tired and still insists that she gets down and she still refused. So he decided to drive home (Still in the same Estate).

You say he should have driven her to a police station but do you know how far the nearest one was and how inconveniencing it would be for him. Consider the time and the fuel scarcity)
