its either u did not read the write up or u are a deviant de writer is only a fact dat de said mum in question was careless and conclusive,think she knew wat de reason why de little princess was crying (avoiding going to school)which unfortunately wasn't de case I believe dis write up even if it's fictional (which i sincerely doubt) has succeeded in waking up dat attentive part of us towards our children and kids in general,I will categorically state dat de mum in question was careless,why will u conclude u know de reason why de child is crying while u don't while u don't we often hear of kids being sexually abuse it's because parents don't pay much attention to dia kids dis is life threatening,it could cost de life priceless life of dat great and adorable kid

It is very possible....for anyone to put his foot in a shoe with a scorpion.... but child or adult... before the laces are tied... you will know something alive is in that shoe and will immediately take it off. To be stung by a scorpion.... is no way that a person would be crying ... maybe later... but that person would be screaming and 3 seconds the most...that shoe will be off. Story is sooo fake.

shut the Bleep up imagine the screams of the said girl when u don't know shi a sting from a scorpion is far Deadlier than that of a snake and her cries of pain would be very abnormal a good mother should notice that but this story ain't true she should long be dead from multiple stings from a black scorpion

In as much as i seriously doubt this scorpion story, i know some mothers ignore serious things because they are either too busy to notice or care. I taught a Primary 3 class some time in 2009.My pupil came to the class on a monad morning with a large painful wound that was still bleeding a little. The poor girl was limping. She got the injury at home over the weekend and it was not treated. I had to ask her severally if her mum was aware,she said yes. I took her to the school clinic for the nurse to dress the wound. The case was reported to the proprietress and her mum was called to come to the school immediately. She came and kept apologizing,that she didn't know that the wound was that big.

If I may ask do you have a child? Have you ever being to the delivery room to bring forth? If yes, then you need help.
You call this teacher an attention seeker for speaking out her mind, what a robotic world you must have truly lived in. Every sensitive mother knows their is a real connection between them and the cry of their little angel, except the one that is unwell. You bring a child to school in tears, only God knows how many sting the poor girl had from that demonic agent,yet no emotion to say what is it? No matter how traumatise a mother is the cry of your child must move you to take step. I read of a hen that gave up it life to protect its own, what happen to us as human being. The sting of a scorpion, what a trauma for that poor child,that just 5mins of patience and care could have averted. Stop being sentimental and call a spade a spade.

Some children because of their plenty drama u sometimes ignore tgeirngenuine complaints. My son cried sometime ago when he was dressed in our traditional attire and he kept hanging/raising his hands and crying. My wife didn't knw that the Taylor forgot to remove the office pin she used to hold the cloth together before sewing it. The pin was actually giving him some piercing and discomfort BT as a little boy of less than 2 years he couldn't say it directly then. We discovered when we washed the cloth. The boy does not like seeing that very cloth again. Since then we listen to every complain they make about their clothes and shoes..

My dear, you are very wrong. I MUST say that the woman is a very careless woman. In parenting, u never ignore the cry of a baby until u establish the reason for that cry. Then you can decide either to ignore or treat the cause of the cry. Cry is only way kids communicate when in a situation contrary to their comfort.

Most babies are like dogs, they see danger before it happens just the same way dogs can sense a bad person coming around and it will start barking. Some babies will start crying when an evil person carry then and will never stop until the evil person let them go (mind u not all cry like dis signifies an evil person).

Let me tell u why I beliv that the woman is careless.
She believed that her baby was just naughty and did not want to go to school. The baby did not cry while she was taking her bath. She did not cry when u wore her the school dress. She yelled out sharp cry when her shoes were put on. She started complaining of pain. The woman never took time to check if the shoe is tight on her.
The girl persisted in her cry from the time of dressing her till u dragged her to the school she was still crying and complaining of one particular leg pains and it never occurred to her to check if the cry was actually genuine.

Mind u, I have kids in the house, both naughty and cool headed ones. I never overlook anything that makes them cry irrespective of how naughty that child had bn. For you to be good parent, u must learn to be very careful and don't take ur kids for granted.

At the school, the child cried for few minutes and the teacher did what the mother could not do for long period her child cried. The teacher tried to dig deeper into what may be the cause of that cry.
Let's assume the teacher was as careless as the mother was, the scorpion would have continue pouring the venom into the child till her system collapse and the child may (God forbid) die.
Then you will hear the mother blaming the teacher ....."but wen u saw that she kept crying, why didn't you check very well to know why she was crying".

My dear, that woman is careless or was just careless that morning. The teacher was not "over dramatic" anything abeg. I felt tears in my eyes as i was reading the post. I could understand what that child passed through.

Spread ur reasoning and u may have wider understanding. It's only a grown adult that can remove the shoes even against the mother's instruction. I imagine the girl trying to remove the shoe, and the mother will be like...."see, if u dare remove that shoe, I will kill u with my bare hand. Naughty girl, you just want to come and stay in the house to disturb me".

The woman had already concluded that the baby doesn't want to go to school, so the girl trying to remove the shoe will earn the child more beating.

A child in grade 1 should be around 5-6 years old. Even if she was around 2 years old, she should be able tug on her shoes if she can't pull it off. Those of us with young children know how to.differentiate different types of crying in a child. Plus I've witnessed the reaction of teenager stung by a scorpion before and I saw how he was crying in pain, how much more a young child. The story is several shades of fake jor.

sorry i respectfully disagree. If a child cries and complaint of discomfort, it's the responsibility of the parent to check properly to make sure the child is not crying wolf. The mum didn't do that. That's negligence 101. If this were to happened in some developed countries, the mum might even lost custody of that child.

I never said d woman shouldn't attend to d child. as part of discipline, they are times when u notice the child is just crying 4 stupid reasons, u get to beat d child and allow him/ her cry. what happened to d woman(if true) is unfortunate, no mother would abandon her child with a scorpion in her shoes
