Hi black Deutsche, when you went for your interview, did they collect your original passport or you where told you bring it back?

They collected, but don't worry if they didn't collect, it makes no difference.

I need a immediate reply to this question peeps.

On the aspect of where will i be accommodated? Stated on visa application Form.

The thing is i have not booked for any accommodation, although i asked the school about how i'm going TO be accommodated,' they said all lies on the 100% of My visa acceptance.

Now the question is - what should i fill in the accommodation part?

Please i need your response. Thanks

Wow! Been a loooooooong time. Good to see the ministry is moving. I’ve been observing for a while actually. Silently. Gurus on the house doing a good job. Had to jump in tonight though to help this brother. Bro. Go ahead and apply. You are safe. My friend left for Germany in 2014 and was in the same exact shoes your are. He was admitted to Msc mechanical engineering University Duisburg-Essen. The programmer is a 75-25 programme, hence he was required to present A2 before resuming 1st semester and B2 by third semester. He did not know a word of German. He applied to a language school and got the admission letter and applied for the visa. He got the Visa and left. He was to resume summer semester 2014. He had to resume winter semester 2014 because he used the time frame to get to A2. IN GERMANY! your letter clearly states you should come andlearn German in Germany just exactly like his did. Just look for a language school in your city, get the letter of acceptance (takes like 5 days) and apply for your visa. Nobody will deny you the opportunity of learning the language in Germany. The worst that can happen is you will resume 6 months later than stated.
Cheers!!!

Well, you have spoken well. At least with a typical and valid example!
I for one appreciate your warm and sincere concern as well as your timely contribution.
You are indeed a good-hearted fellow who is worthy of emulation.

But if I'm to suggest, I'll simply say he should get a German language certificate first in Nigeria (even if it is A1 or A2) before applying for visa.

The example you gave was back way 2014 and you would agree with me that so much have changed between then and now.

Visa policies have changed,
Financial commitment has changed (in the past I heard sponsor can be from Nigeria, but now that's not possible. Then the amount to be blocked was much lower than it is today),
Visa appointment availability tussle is becoming tougher,
Application requirements are changing,
Visa fee has changed (increased),
Certification appointment has also changed (because few years ago, you can just walk into the embassy within a specified time and days in the week to certify your documents without booking an appointment. But its no longer applicable today),
The number of applicants willing to study in Germany is changing daily (getting higher drastically),
Even the number of banks available for blocked account operation is changing.
And so also, I can boldly say that the possibility of getting visa approval for a course taught partly in German without any proof of the German language proficiency is changing (becoming slimmer).

I wouldn't say its not possible to get the visa approved, but as much as we all know now, it's becoming very difficult.

So to clear all ways, since there is still little time, just do a brief but intensive language course with Goethe institute or any other, then get a certificate for that and apply to the embassy without fear.

A whole lot can happen and change within 24hours, let alone within 4years (2014-2018).

Just my candid piece of advice!

Good bless and fulfill your pursuit and academic dreams

Check their official webpage. (I mean that of DB).

Also, you can get that if you access it through the embassy webpage (in the financial/blocked account section), click on DB and you will be directed accordingly.

I think it can also be accessed through the certification section of the embassy webpage.

Just try any of these options

I quite agree that things have changed since our own time but I think that it’s defendable. I know I can defend why I didn’t do German in Nigeria, I’m sure he can too. They will most likely ask him so he should be ready.

But brother I hope you know the consequences of your decision to study German in Germany. A good intensive course can easily cost 400 - 500 euros per level. Just be prepared.

I think I should also add that I support metabolite just for the reason of cost. Let me explain to you. By the time my friend was ready to resume on winter semester he had spent almost 3000 euros out of blocked account. Wetin remain abeg?
Be wise. Weigh the costs. 400 euros a level is big money for masters student. Don’t let anybody deceive you. If you can afford it, I think you’re good to go.

I have a soft copy of it.
I tried uploading it here so you can access it, but couldn't because it is higher than the threshold (maximum file size) that is required of an attachment (aside picture) to be uploaded in this platform.

So if you can drop your email address here, I'll forward it to you immediately through your email.

The course you applied in FAU,was english launguage test like IELTS or TOEFL compulsory?
Lalaski2017:

No, they did not contact me about any aptitude test.
DID THEY CONTACT YOU FOR IT?

I don't think they will be having any aptitude test even though they mentioned it as part of their admission process.

They just sent me a mail saying that they have received my application, that my documents are complete and that they will get back to all applicants before the end of January.

What's your first degree, did you offer Chemistry in your first degree?
They said we must show prove of chemistry studies, and I didn't offer Chemistry in my first degree that's why I am kinda worried about the admission even though i have a very good first degree

I don't know if it's compulsory or not. I wrote Ielts, so I used it to apply because it was stated in the requirement. You can confirm from the school if they can waive that for you.

Yes it's a scholarship.

Wow. I’m also on scholarship but I’m yet to have my appointment.
Reading from part 1 to 4 , there are some people on scholarship whose visa application takes longer than normal.

Yours is the fastest I’ve heard of.
So please can you give me some pointers or explain the interview process or why you think ifit was so swift.

Since your course begins in April, when do you plan to head to Germany.

You can PM me if you’d prefer.

Thanks

What scholarship are you on and what university?

With regards to interview process, mine was uneventful, so no pointers. I wasn't asked any questions at all. Just carry along all documents that can support your application.

I'll be heading to Germany around March 25th. When is your interview?

Bros apply for enrollment extension to be on a safe side, go ahead and do your interview with the way it is now . Forward the new enrollment date to embassy if your school agrees to extend it.

One courier is needed.
