Good morning nairalanders
I know it's normal for teenagers to misbehave but it's stage by stage that christmas period was trouble because my elder bro was just hype but of recent he asked for 300k for no reason. I have tried to persuade him to tell me the reason but he won't. but I feel it's not right for him to be giving my parents headache now am planning to get him beaten so that he might tell me what he wants the money for.

Am sure you are older, don't beat him. It might make him tougher and resistant.
If you can take him out, just relax, get friendlier with him for few days, then throw the question back to him in a cool manner.
You can even tease him with some things.
