Tithing is a biblical command neither the prophets nor Jesus condemn or abolish it. Believers must be very careful this period because the devil too can quote and preach the Bible albeit upside down.

The truth we run away from and refuse to tell ourselves now because it doesn't sound or appear comfortable, we will voluntarily tell it before God someday, but it might be too late. Be wise and avoid anti-Christ doctrines.

If you are willing to give tithes and first fruits to your pastor but when you see pictures and reports of IDPs, orphans and other less privileged people, all you do is type "thoughts and prayers" on Facebook, then you really need to question your Christianity.

I don't think anyone is against giving to promote God's work. However, what I am against is twisting the scriptures to preach a false doctrine of monetary tithing.

I am still asking these questions;

1) Where did God mandate people to pay tithes monetarily? I didn't see anything as such in Deuteronomy 14 v 22-29

2) Where did these Pastors get their inspiration to cajole Christians into thinking that tithes is necessary for accessing God's blessings despite what transpired in the early church as recorded in Acts 15?

3) Christians who don't pay these monetary tithes that has no basis in the scripture whatsoever...are they going to be under the threat of any devourer...especially considering the fact that Jesus had borne and fulfilled the burdens of the Law through His death on the Cross?
