Please no bad words.

I have a sizable number of investments. Every month I make about 400k from my investments. I also invested in crypto. The market has been crazy these past weeks, but even with the recession I have about $100k. But I have not cashed out. I don't want to. I want to keep it till year's end, when it may be bigger or maybe zero. who knows.
Then I have my job, which isn't bad, which has earned me all of this. But I'm getting tired of it already and I want to quit. Hoping to live on the 400k I make every month from my investments and a possible larger payout from crypto by the end of the year. What do you think?

Just a few words of advice.

As long as you've thought this through and you're no longer enjoying fulfilment on your job, you can take the step. We were not made to work all our lives to improve our standard of living. Besides , even the job itself is never secured as at some point in time, you may become redundant to your employer.
Just as someone above me advised, concentrate on "minding and enhancing your own business" , ie, diversify and improve your investments. Yes, it may take a while to adjust to daily living without rushing to an office on weekdays but with time, you'll understand that there is so much more to life than earning a devalued worth of your time monthly at an institution. Ensure that within you, this is what you want to do and take that bold step. You would only require good financial management to be able to cater for your bills and keep improving your standard of living.
Good luck, bro!

You sounded like you have reached a saturation point with money but I am yet to see anyone, not even the richest people on earth have said bye to their jobs.... because it's their source of milk. However, you have asked us for advice, please kindly note the following before you finally quit that goldmine:
- what is your family size (you, your wife, children + extended family)
- are all your children already on their ?
- you said your investments give about 400,000 monthly, now what is your average monthly expenditure outlay?
- have you made any impact on your community like contributing generously to community development?
- now critically looking at your investments, what is their sustainability outlook, an investment that yield only about 400k per month gives about 4.8 million naira per annum. ..that's about the 0.000000009%percent of the seed capital of an ideally successful investment.

My candid advice is, find thw source of your unhappiness at your job, certainly it is not that you have made so much money from it. ....keep the job and grow those investment until your children have all reached independent states and fit to take over from you. .

for now, your stable source of income is your JOB still. Your investment is made possible because of your JOB. Your investment is unstable until you cash out see how bitcoin dropped from 19k to 8k, it might take years to get back there making this investment uncertain. In wealth creation stability is key and your JOB gives you this stability. I suggest you revive your enthusiasm for your JOB by giving it more time and thought. Take courses related to your JOB, see new horizons in your JOB don't quit your JOB until you cash out your investment and ready to start a business of your own. i repeat, don't quit your JOB now until you cash out, if you quit now you will be forced to cash out which still looks cool with 100k dols. So take out more time preparing for what you wanna do with your life as you await your investment to reverse back. i have been in your shoes when i traded for a hedge fund company and was up to 100k dols. i cashed out but did not start my dream then thinking the market will always give me 100k dols every other month. i have learnt from that mistake as i had to start my dream through another means and it wasn't that sweet. Anyway, this is my 2 cents

I think Twitter should help more here. And again, be specific about the type of song you write. You try submitting your songs to radio stations, e.g wazobia fm. Some stations give airplay.

That's a big gamble as crypto is likely to enter into multi years of ranging. Take a cue from gold (parabolic rise followed by irrational exuberance, and now ranging). The sad part is that no matter how frugal you are, your fund cannot sustain you. You will be surprised at how many people hate their jobs but still have to do it. If Bill Gates, Dangote, Zuckerberg still wake up to go to work, I don't see why you shouldn't. Money is a limited resource.

By the way, crypto is played out. It will die a natural death. Smart money moved funds out in Nov/December. Retail investors will be left holding the bag. History has ways of repeating itself. Crypto is a fad and a gamble. It is never an investment. Like MMM, I expect the noise about crypto to die this year. In less than a month, it went from $10k to $19k. In less than a month, it went from $19k to $7.5k. I feel sorry for retailers.

Op,
Someone mentioned one major investment killer in Nigeria, inflation. If u factor in year-on-year inflation rate of between 15 & 17% for say 3 - 5 years into yr projected monthly income of 400k how much will yr nett income be then?
Why not consolidate yr $100k present investment & invest in real estate.Cos I think crypto has had its day in terms of huge returns.

When cryto was heading high
I warned them it will crash
Now what is it
I see more deeps
Every ten years the market does reset
Go back ten years and see the pattern
And its always what's the thing make waves that crashes the market
It will go lower
He either cash out or cry later
Cash out...
Keep the money in dollars
Wait till mid this year
And begin to buy again

Obviously, you don't think big at all

People are making millions in a day and you are there ranting bunkum

Take 100k, play lazio win, play anderlecht win, play Lyon women win on bet9ja today

You'll be making nothing less than 120k in profit

Do something like that in a week and you'll be making nothing less than 700k in a week!!!

And the op is even talking about 400k a month!

People are making major money on daily basis

If you're not, it's probably because you lack the right information

If you want to make it big; then you've got to start thinking big

Wean yourself off the benefits that comes with the job gradually, then see how much of the 400k is left to spend.
