Hi Madam, you will need to send me some divine gifts, valentine is coming and I am in the mood for gifts.

My thoughts are as follows:

If le' hubs says the company should not include the 4 months, it creates a gap, fine it can be addressed under personal history, but the reference letter is incomplete. It creates an inconsistency, if to say he was not going to obtain any reference from this company in the first place I would say okay to put it under personal history but he is getting a reference....

Please let the reference reflect two positions. I can imagine a case where they send an email to the company and company responds with two roles and the time frames, an impatient VO may not add it up to the details under personal history and be thinking the info is inconsistent....do not mind my active imagination please. Let's just make things tidy.

Divinegifts:

Emm let's assume the position being used by the PA to claim points was for 3 years and PA changed role to another position for only 4 months before resigning from the company and not claiming any points with the 4 months position as it's a different NOC, should the employment reference letter have the two positions or just the 3 years used to claim points

PS: PA had 2 different supervisors for the 2 positions and not interested in claiming more points with the 4 months position but wishes to include it under personal history.

More points how? Don't worry yourself, complete 3 years of experience allots the maximum obtainable points for that category. The reference letter can include the 4 months stuff even though he isn't claiming points for it. The idea is that whatever you claim points for MUST be sufficiently backed up with proof. However, you can choose to provide more information than required by including it. There's no harm in doing that

Mcstan: CIC expressly requires you to include all positions held in the organisation. Some of these things are not optional, there are guidelines for these things, we are not only using 'our sense'.

School admission is not the same thing as applying for TRV and Study permit. Two different people deal with them.

School admission and acceptance - the school has approved your intent to be their student, either as an international student or local student. When you register for your classes/credits and your tuition is calculated, then one changes their status to PR with the school. Note: some schools won't allow you be enrolled or might ask you to wait for next session. They have slots for international students and slots for local student. My advise to anyone is to make sure he/she can change their status. I have friends who the school no gree them pay local student fee after becoming PR until their program was completed because they took the slot for international student and local student slot was full.

TRV and study permit -you apply to IRCC for visa using your school admission letter. IRCC can deny ones application based on PR application.

Make we no dey confuse ourselves.
Very valid points you noted here but emm, the bold part is not quite applicable.

IRCC will ONLY refuse a study permit application because the applicant failed to meet the eligibility requirement/or did not satisfy the officer based on the stipulation of the ACT for issuance of a study permit and NOT because of a PR application. Each application is independent of the other and decisions are made separately because there are different categories of residency.

The key thing is MEETING the requirement for each application. Alot of applicants are not able to meet one of the requirements of the study permit visa which is to satisfy an officer that they would leave Canada at the end of their authorized stay irrespective of a PR application(even though an officer is not allowed by the immigration law to use an existing PR application to make a decision on a Study permit application.)

All the same, you made a lot of sense in your post.

I do not know if you have a response to this. I have been told several times that Access Bank Mastercard is not enabled for certain online payments. You will have to use their Visa Card.

Could you still pay with that access bank naira mastercard? The card fail me die for CAD$2230, I'm having to now use a domicilliary account.

Please just include both. If both jobs are in the same organization, it won't take anything extra to have them include the current role. In fact, it is important that you do it. If they contact the organization, you won't be there and the HR contact might just give them info about both jobs. Even though it is under personal history, they might still frown at the omission. My opinion though. I won't exclude it myself.

Oh really? Great stuff. Thank you

SkyWalk12:
You don’t need money order anymore you can pay online since Monday. And you can do the fingerprinting on your own. Go on the Identity checks website and print the form. I’d advise you to print 2 forms and fingerprint on both in case the FBI can’t read one or more of your prints. You are to attach your confirmation email(from after you paid) and then send that to WestVirginia. You will have filled the application form online and paid before the fingerprint.

A while back, i asked if different NOC'S (gained within the past 10 years and falling under 0, A or B) could be combined to get maximum points for FSW application. No one responded to me at that point. I read the FAQ online but i was skeptical and unsure of the interpretation of what i read. You see, i always believed that it had to be work experience gained in the same profession and not different NOC. So i kept calculating my points using my current 2 years of work experience.

I decided to tweet at CIC to clear any doubt and the answer was positive for me. After i got the all clear tweet from CIC that this was acceptable to use different NOCS, i was excited. I quickly added another experience (just a year) i had which fell under NOC A and voila my score increased from 420 something to the mid 440. Based on this, i was invited yesterday. ITA abi?

Well this NOC A work experience makes me worried a bit.
It has no fixed job title that fits into the NOC list but i have tried my hardest to go through the entire NOC list and choose one based on the work i did at that time.
I spoke to one or two people here to get their thoughts on it as well.
My former employers (in the UK) are somewhat funny people and i cant count much on their cooperation to send the reference letter as specified by CIC. Sha I have my bank accounts showing payments made for the period, pay slips (thank God for this) et al.
Yet i just keep thinking about the NOC I've gone for. Keep thinking its not perfect enough, not as crystal clear enough as my NOC with my current job. Phewwwwwwwwwwwww...
Who has ever felt this worried about a job description and matching it with an NOC? lipsrsealed

Let me shut down and just go home. I'm tired!

Someone should please help me out.

Sunmisire:
Good day my E-fam. Please I tried processing my transcript through a staff at the school's Records office. The attached is what I got as a transcript.
Can I send this to WES? Is this what LASU's transcript looks like?
Please if anyone has a sample of LASU's transcript,i would like to see what it looks like.
He claimed he had sent it for two weeks now but WES didn't receive anything. I applied and paid online which is the normal procedure, and only tipped him for processing not minding the strike.

This is what WES has to say if you have been given your transcript to send by yourself.

"If the institution gives you the document to send to WES, it must be in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate official at the institution you attended. If the envelope is opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, WES cannot accept the document".

Biko, just post your duties and the NOC code you are considering, make people follow you judge the matter. Don't focus so much on the title, it's the duties that matter. You can change NOC post-ITA. No be only you waka come for NOC dilemma.

[quote author=ashiwajew post=64738389]Please what is the best way of paying for this IETLS exam. I was at GTB today to pay to do a transfer to Standard chartered as described in my confirmation email using my reference code but the bank says that the account number is wrong. And i used the 6 digits provided with my month code and last 2 digits of my passport as account number. Please i need to make this payment[/white]

I encountered same challenge when I wanted to transfer to them as stipulated on their website. It seems the account is temporarily closed for now (could be due to reconciliation).
Simply ask your bank to issue you a draft in favour of "British Council" and walk down to any of their offices for submission. Remember to write your reference code on the reverse side of the cheque especially if you plan to send someone on your behalf.

Goodluck.

Sent them an email to clarify how the requested documents should be forwarded. They responded that i should send by email although i already did that. Spouse has been added and UCI assigned, no ADR request on the online application and no request to upload.
Nice! That's for the update smiley

I have been a silent reader for sometime now. I want to start the journey ASAP. For now, my only push back is the bank statement that will be presented which should show a minimum of 13k CAD. Please, I want to know if there is any financial institution or money lender that can deposit money into my account. An order could be put so that I wont have access to the money. Anyone with information about any company or individual that can do that. I will pay for the service.

Business centers around my area can only reduce the size and photocopy for me. I'm really not sure if this will be acceptable. Please assist.

Don't waste time. Do that sharply. If you've got the money, you could also register for another session just in case. But you can be sure they'll bump that 6.5 to 7.
