Hello house,

I've been an avid reader of this post for a few months and I must say, it has helped a lot with different people sharing their stories and God bless all the gurus here who continue to encourage all of us to be resilient.

My Dubai story all started like a joke, I never planned to even relocate out of Nigeria, but when the opportunity presented itself, I took it. I'm barely 2 weeks here and I can say this I got a job without even doing any form of certificate attestation. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to have your docs attested as everyone's story is different. Just believe in God and believe in your hustle. Faith for me is interwoven into everything I do so I'll always tell people put God first in everything you do.

Guys please hustle till you get what you want and when you do, don't stop hustling. People have had successes here and those of us that are still coming and are already here can have that success too

I've heard what you said. I actually did make more finding about it online, about the new rules I mean, and I found out the new rule just take effect from 4th Febuary 2018, probably the reasons for delaying. And the ballance is to be paid on arriving to Dubai.

I'm just wondering maybe some people have succeeded in getting a working visa withing January till now, to prove him wrong if he is lieing.

In this case of yours, three things are involved.

1. The slots available at the taxi company are closed or they haven't started processing visas for the employees.

2. There is no slot available and he is holding on to your money to he can get you a placement in any company, that is why he opt to refund part of the money.

3. Maybe you are already on a long thing. you can pm me your passport page so i can check if anything was even activated on your account.

just be hopeful for the best.

Congrats bro. Peoples stories here differs. The koko is for God to bless our hustle.
To those planning to come over to search for job, I think its still advisable to get your academic certificates attested and your PCC along with you, especially if your fate here is very likely to be dependent on the certificate. I was misled at the wee our of my exit from Nigeria that i don't need the MOE/MOFA attestation since i already had my certificate verified by the DHA. On getting when it was needed, I realized that it is a worthless paper without those attestations at the back. sending it to Abuja alone cost 330aed at the DHL stand in Deira City Center. Guys in the ministry are already quoting figures to fast track the whole thing. So, it it cost effective to do it before coming IF it will be of use to you here.

It will cost you 600 naira at MOFA(300 per document) Because the PCC and the fingerprint document will all be authenticated in MOFA.
Note: Go early in MOFA best time between 8 am and 9 am to pay normal fees. If you go late you may pay more. Go with one passport photograph and a photocopy of your PCC. Hold small change 100 naira for file.
UAE embassy 18k. (Only the PCC is attested in UAE embassy, the finger print page is not needed in UAE embassy) The lady (travel agency)downstairs in UAE embassy behind the receptionist will help you with the online payment for UAE embassy fees. She charges 1k for the service.

Thanks bro. God bless. . . I intend sending my pcc to someone in abj for the authentication, but he was saying I'll have to authenticate the two pages of pcc @ 20k each in uae embassy and 1500 each in mofa plus 6k for run around. . Maybe I should just travel down myself... Can get everything done on Friday? I'd want to board a night bus to Abuja on Thursday from ibadan

Some got PCC between 5000 and 7500 in Lagos, Osun resident got it for 15k, Abia 20k.
So add the cost of transport to Lagos to and fro and compare it to Ibadan price. If you will have enough change left or it is urgent then go to Lagos. No matter which state you get it from, it must carry the stamp CID Lagos

I don't think you can make it >> All things being equal. All protocol observed MOFA will give you 3pm for collection. On normal days UAE embassy closes by 4pm. On Fridays they close early I suppose. Better travel before Thursday

Not possible, PCC involves taking your biometrics mainly your fingerprints, you will also submit one passport photograph and photocopy of your international passport data page. Because of the fingerprints, you must be present at the CID to do it yourself.

Can you waybill your fingers? It will be needed for fingerprinting. Though...if you have a police friend where you are; He or her can get you the form to fill there including the fingerprint aspect. Waybill it to another police in Lagos to get the PCC for you.

Cheaper and faster? I doubt it. All what it is going to do help out is the avoidance of taking a journey. Perhaps cheaper if your preferred mode of transport is Air.

if you live in Abu Dhabi & searching for job, kindly go towards the Ferrari world gate, an American hospitality company is conducting walk in interview for F & B crew as well as kitchen team (commis, DCDP, CDP).

PS. I don't know the exact address but when you get there you will surely meet other job seekers.

Also Aloft Deira city center is conducting pre-opening interview today
