Cosigning. I think this World Cup is Brazil's for the taking but Germany is gonna be another hot favorites. However, I would list Argentina ahead of France. France has one of the most talented team in the tournament but they always underachieve. They are like the new Holland (the Netherlands). O pari tbaba1234: |

Of course, it did! What do you expect? Any team with Messi should be considered one of the favorites. Messi is one player who can carry a team on his back to the finals, just as he did in Brazil 2014. O pari Danycrusoe: |

Icon79:That's y they will always underachieve, the young man feels the pressure and responsibilities of the whole Argentina right from his national team-mates. I think they see him like "common u are the great Messi we don't need to follow u up u can dribble them up into the net" Portugal are not star studded but they don't leave it all to Ronaldo |

O boy! I got like 18 mentions in a space of 3hrs. Wetin I do bad? So one cannot state the obvious in Peace again? Pinnick has affinity for flamboyancy as evidenced by his wife. Oga Kog45, even Pastors dey appreciate the hand work of God when the need arises. |

Kog45:Nooo baba Kog45. You see I am very comfortable with people having different views. I am not quarrelling with him. My language has been strong and forthright but no disrespect to him. We are just having cross views. If you look deeply you'd realise that for me this issue is not about Iheanacho. It's about freedom and a subtle authoritarian spirit, about space and constriction. My point is simple: It does not lie in the mouth of anybody not even President Buhari to shut people's mouth just because they have a contrary view. I will oppose that person as a matter of principle with every fibre of my being. We must have liberty to discuss here. That's all. This is a public forum. I respect and cherish everybody. I mean no trouble. Do I support the naysayers? No! But that doesn't mean they should be stumped upon. I got my own hammer too. It's Thor's hammer for war to smash and blast every stronghold that seeks to muzzle free speech here ![]() Do you know that in Law if you sue me to court and for one reason or the other I was denied fair hearing the entire proceedings will be thrown out of the court as being a nullity. It doesn't matter that it's nonsense I have to say. The law permits me indeed gives me opportunity to come state my nonsense. If you block me be rest assured you will loose that case. Even if your lawyer is a senior advocate of Nigeria and mine is just a year old at the bar, I tell you that on that point of denial of fair hearing you will loose that case. It's that important. So let's have people talk. It's their God given right and no man, I repeat no man can take it away from them. |

Kpom! Truer words have never been spoken. For some reasons, Sergio Aguero never plays well for Argentina. He's one of the best strikers in the world but he never plays well for their national team. And Angel Di Maria is always injured when it comes to representing Argentina. He rarely gets injured when it comes to playing either for Real Madrid, Man Utd, or PSG, but when it comes to playing for Argentina he would get "injured". O pari Danycrusoe: |

TheSuperNerd:Truth is just an aside on this issue. It's an orbiter. The main thrust of my point is: whether truth or lies, positive views or negative views everybody must have their say. Chikena. I don't like the 'truth' that shuts people down. That's something else using truth to gag human beings. I see right through such talk. Many people have been killed in this world by those who think they alone are possessed of the truth. The most infamous instance was that of John Calvin, one of the Protestant reformers and contemporary of Martin Luther who in cold blooded intolerance killed Michael Servetus. On what ground? John Calvin said God is a Trinity, Michael Servetus said No! God is not a Trinity. John Calvin had him burnt at the stake in a most horrendous way. That incident till date is a regrettable blight on the character of John Calvin. I say freedom and respect on this thread. Yet I'd force it on no one. It's just my desire and I'm pushing it. |

komekn:What about debruyne sir? He doesn't have blistering pace but yet his skills and reading of the game is beyond this world!! You can't say blistering pace is the determinant for man city winning this year....there is more to their game, no doubt blistering pace is always an edge in football if used rightly, after all according to you diabate has blistering pace, why didn't he cause man City a lot of trouble? |

komekn:You are just twisting facts to suit your narrative. The point was not just about Blistering pace but you saying Diabate has the advantage because of his pace. I clearly pointed out to you that pace is not the key to success. So I wonder the long epistle you are writing there. It takes different gifts to make a quality player. It depends on who best uses the combination of his talents that makes the quality. Hinging on just speed is hiding from the truth. Neymar with less intelligence and skills, will not be the phenomenon he is. So did Finidi and Beckham not rely on pace to become legends. Iheanacho is fast. He may not be a speed demon but he has other things ticking for him. From his intelligent passing, breath taking skills, ability to shoot from long range, Good in crossing, lethal finishing, mobility in the box etc. So to give someone the edge because of pace is hiding from the truth. Finito. |
