You called the Redmi Note 5 Pro a garbage device and that alone is enough to show us your "geek status" and that you may not even be enthusiastic as you think you are when it comes to techs. Name one device that totally trumps the RN5 pro in the same price range.
By the way, I'm not even a geek, just an average phone user....
He hasn't even used the device.

yet another stereotype trying to keep up..
if you can highlight how the Note 5 Pro beasts over the A8(2018),i will never say anything negative about xiaomi, but till then!
NB:Both are mid-range devices

So i also made mention of Hot S3 and some individuals with overly sensitive nipplés like a girl on her period did not hesitate to display how irritated they were.At least the Hot S3 launches Oreo 8.0 out of the box."Note 5 Pro" users will have to wait till september to get Oreo update so i heard!
SD430..SD636, so what's so special?..like the 636 is a power-house chipset..oh please!
like y'all didn't see the fake renders from late year until now about the Note 5 series(SD660, and others) which turned out not to feature on said device.Or is it the micro usb 2.0 it spots on..like QC3.0 is aborminable!?
or should i delve into the camera specs..terrible sensors, just look at the size of the aperture, terrible(megapixels don't determine quality)..oh,6GB of ram got y'all ears wet yet its CPU speed is clocked at 1.8Ghz...GPU==> Adreno 509,really?
i doubt if its LTE even supports Band28
Talking about Xiaomi manufactures the best mid-range devices..word??
where does that leave the Samsung galaxy A8(2018)??

Interesting take on Snapdragon chipsets.

I personally don't think Infinix would market the Hot S3 like the Note 5 pro. They are just not in the same build quality class, size, display, processor and ultimately price. Hot S3 is good for the price and so is Note 5 Pro. I don't think anybody should even be looking at the regular note 5 tbh. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A8(2018) is upper mid-range, definitely not the best value for the price they set it as. OnePlus got that market locked down!

The best way to learn is to assume you don't know, and let those that have in depth knowledge spell out some clear facts to you.

You called note 5 pro a garbage, and also said hot s3 is In the same class with note 5 pro. U shot urself in the leg, by playing penalty to throw-in.

you're forgetting one key point:marketing
infinix has a better market here in nigeria, xiaomi is yet to break into the nigerian mobile market.infact an average nigerian doesn't know of the xiaomi brand much.
as for price:$199.98==>>Hot S3 ,$220-260===>Note 5 Pro,i looked both up @ flipkart before dropping my opinion yesterday unlike a bunch of these guys coming at me with empty contents.
Also there are specs on the Hot S3 that the Note 5 pro isn't packed with and likewise!

you also forgot to mention that infinix n tecno (even though both na the same) is upping their game with the introduction of a Qualcomm processor (after donkey years wey we don dey flex am for affordable price on xiaomi) so as to gain ground in india, xiaomi has Indian Market by its grip. U really need not to worry about nigeria that much when u control market in China and India. How can u even be comparing infinix and xiaomi self.

oh boy, like how do you figure?
where did i categorically compare and contrast Hot S3 with the Note 5 Pro?
i called a "phone" garbage, not an individual..y'all took it to a whole another level with the petty comments
i expressed how i felt about a "device".."disappointed"
That i followed a device for months with renders most likely to spot on said device which turns to be just rumours at the end of the day,and i should just be like y'all on here and sing praises "oh ye,xiaomi" to my disappointment?!

If an average Nigerian finally gets to know Xiaomi then Infinix and Tecno will close shop unless they up their game.
Even without a Nigerian presence, people are going all the way to order Xiaomi phones from AliExpress.
Even the likes of umidigi, Leagoo and Uhans are also drawing attention from Nigerians.

I can't even find Infinix or Tecno phone on Amazon US but Xiaomi and all these other brands are there. What does that tell you?
