Please I don’t understand something. Why and how is studying in a fee paying school a waste of money? How is 97% of schools free in Germany too? Somebody please help me out. Where is statistic coming from?
Even if 99% of schools are free in Germany, don’t you know how competitive it is to get it. You think it’s everybody that made first class or good 2:1. I’ve been doing this Germany thing at least since 2013. Everyday I see it get harder and harder to get in. Even the private schools people are insulting here most have stopped taking anything less than 2.5. Manu people I know in Germany that are working now and are getting papers now came in through private school. I can’t even count. Private school is faster and more convenient. I’ve been helping people get in now for 3 years. Nobody I helped get in to a private school that is not doing one thing or the other now. Nobody is back in Nigeria. I repeat NOBODY. If you don’t believe contact me by mail. Let me show you live examples. Let me just advise o. Me I don’t know much but what I know I can share. If you’re here and your GP is is 2.6-2.7 on German scale don’t bother with public school. Just conserve your money. Unless you’re applying to a school that can take work experience and substitute it to improve your GP. It’s not a matter of prayer. They can’t take you. So just look for fee paying course that may have mercy on you and accept you. And finally don’t assume everybody is in The same boat as you. I’ve seen Nigerians in Germany that are in private schools that’s pay 22k euros per annum. Comfortably. I’ve seen a Nigerian study MSc finance in Frankfurt. His fees was 36k euros. Nigerians have money. The sooner you believe the less you stress yourself. Also I went to a fee paying school in Stuttgart in 2015 and I want to believe I’m doing well for myself. I agree that majority go the Germany becos of cheap costs but the assumption that everybody goes to Germany becos of cost is a big deceit. Don’t be fooled. Like I said all fingers are not equal. If you’re here and it’s fee paying school you see and you can afford it, better you enter Germany quick. It won’t be like this forever.

Oga. I'm sorry but this is hasty generalization. I had a cgpa of 2.7 on German scale and i got admission to study Geoinformatics at 2 out of the 3 schools i applied to (Hannover and Berlin). I am currently at TU Berlin studying for my course. So please don't try to mislead people by making assertive statements when you don't have your facts correct.

Also, my wife had a cgpa of 2.6 on German scale in Chemistry amd she got admission from 2 schools (Leipzig and Kassel). She will be going for her visa interview next week.

Moreso, it is only the state of baden-wuttenberg that has applied the tuition fee stuff. So it is only universities in the state who pay the tuition of 1500 euros. Though i agree with you that others may also change their policy soon but that doesn't mean someone should not use the better opportunity of studying for free which is still available now because of an uncertain policy change in the future

Hi my learned co-dreamers, greetings to babaeuro and other visa successfulls. Please am a newbies here and have gone through virtually all that is posted here. However my question is that
Im confused about how to register for gre. ETS website said it is $210. However some registering agents like examplanet said it is #50,000 with free study guide. Plz kindly advice bcoz I don't want to be scammed. Thank you house.

Bros tell us the full story. Is not about misleading. What and what did you use to make your application stronger. You mentioned wife. So I assume you’re older. I also assume you must have significant work experience. Or at least something that made the school look at you. Are you telling me you applied with 2.7 and got admission just like that. That’s impossible. I can say it anywhere and I can defend it anywhere. I run an educational agency too from here. I have a running contract with two private schools in Germany to help them process admissions from students in Nigeria. The international university of bad honnef and GISMA business school in Berlin. So like I said before I no sabi much but I sabi small. Something else got you the admission. It wasn’t your GP sir. White people are not rigid like Africans sir. If you like have pass. If you can prove to them that this is why you should take me they will. But that’s the issue. Proving to them they should take you. I’ve gotten admission for someone into a masters degree who didn’t have a bachelor. He has 12 years of working experience that we substituted for a first degree. The guy head hot pass first degree. And we proved it. Pay me I’ll tell you the school. Information is not free. I’m not saying 2.6 or 2.7 is impossible. I’m saying if that’s what you are banking on or if that’s all you have. I’m sorry.....

But why are you so fast to jump into conclusion. The truth is that i had only 3 months working experience when i applied and i got the admission which was in 2016. So i have been here since 2016 october. My wife just finished nysc in november with no working experience and she got admission.

Don't think i am old because of my marital status and definitely i must have working experience. I am not even up to 30 years. I finished nysc 2014 and tried for Canada in 2015 but was denied visa and that was why i shifted focus to Germany. I just got married December 30.

I understand if you have an agency and you're looking for clients but that is not a ground to mislead others. It would have been better to just state your observations without reaching false conclusions that it is impossible. Also, have you heard about non-restricted admission? My wife did not even do IELTS or TOEFL, she just used a letter of proficiency in English from her university in Nigeria

I was only telling you what I know based on experience o. I was in Nigeria last year for education fair and I saw many of them. 2.6, 2.7. Public school refused all of them. We had to fight sef to get 2.6 into private school. Na reall world war 3 with the schools. I refuse to agree for them. You must take this people.

P.s i didn’t jump to conclusion. I only used work experience as example. I didn’t say it had to be work experience. It could be many other things.

Well, public universities in Germany are not crowded. We are less than 20 students in our MSc class. Most times you'll find a lot of empty sits laying fallow with no one siting on them Even when we are having combine courses with other departments you will still get a space to sit down. Most courses here have limited number of participant meaning that you have to register in time if not you may not be able to get a space. I believe the reason why they adapted the measure of course registration with a certain number of participants/students is for crowd control. I remember back then in Nigeria the university i attended was always crowded that most times they use public address systems. Some students don't even see the board when lecturers are teaching courses that involved calculations/mathematics. It is not like that in Deutschland. Germany is well advance/organised.

That crowding part dey make me cry. Sometimes you will stand until the end of the lecture. You won't even see the board or hear what the lecturer is saying. You go just stand for back dey press your phone until after the lectures

I wonder when I called anybody a liar. How can I call you a liar when you have real life proof of admission. You’re already in Berlin so how can I say you’re lying. You’re the one who took it like that. And my aim initially was not to dispute GP. My aim was trying to correct the notion that private schools can’t deliver like public schools. That’s was my goal in this conversation. It only happened that the talk shifted to GP. Last month I and @metabolite1 were discussing about someone going to language school in Germany when the school says you must resume with language certificate. I pointed it out to him that I had seen something like this before. He didn’t accuse me that I called him a liar. So we see what we choose to see brother. You can read my posts again. I was not rude to you and I didn’t call you a liar.
I been off this group for 2 years watching from the sidelines not saying anything because people here were doing a fine job without my input. I stepped in that day and today becos I noticed nobody was addressing it properly. And I can go off again. Like I said I’m already in Germany. If truly truly I was wicked and didn’t want to help I would have deleted this handle as I entered Germany.

Deep down I still want as many people here as possible. I noticed things are getting tighter and tighter. IN my own days during visa interview we may not pass 4. Nothing like appointment shortage. That should tell you something.

I’m only advising people here that if you’re serious about getting into Germany don’t go and overwait for public school. You will dull yourself. One day you will just hear that Angela has locked the gates of Germany. A word as they say I enough for the wise.

I applied to university of Bremen but as a preparation student, but I was told nothing about a test , did you apply for a course administered in English?

What do u mean by preparation student? I applied for M.Sc Biochemistry ! And it is English taught!
