People don't seem to understand. She means she accepted it ON faith. Faith that it was gonna yield since no one else wanted it.

Trust nigerians to conflate everything to religious faith.

you just confirmed that you are a lawyer a minute ago! how's that an assumptions? grin Chai!

it appears you are very well learned in IT, i am still wondering why you have chosen to be a lawyer rather. that's all.

Law permeates every sector.

I'm a lawyer and as part of my practice, I represent tech companies and startups. So, I'm pretty familiar with the structural, regulatory, advisory and business side of tech. So, while the techies come up with the idea, mine is to make sure that idea gives rise to a successful technology company.

Mind you, I have some colleagues who are lawyers and also code.

Nothing more to add.

Alakija hasn't told us the true story of that oil field gift and her relationship with one of the most corrupt individuals this country has ever seen.

Until then daft Nigerians will be blinded and muted and deafened as long as an issue has religious tint attached to it.

As for the lazy Nigerians, it's simply the product of a dead society. One foòl on a pulpit with a microphone has told us he can pray credit alert into our phones. Another told us he drove from Asaba to Ore with an empty tank. The other slaps witches as a hobby. I'm sure you know where this is going.
grin grin grin grin grin grin And it's sad because some of the individuals who swallow those religious fallacies consider themselves Educated.

While others made their wealth by doing something spectacular; cc Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Jeff Besos, Jack Ma, Aliko Dangote, Mark Zuckerberg, she made hers by faith!…doing something unembellished and still competing with these men. Well, it's for those that have regards for her wealth Coz I don't. She doesn't even deserve to be counted among the richest women in Africa, a title she didn't work for. Imagine comparing her with the likes of Oprah Winfrey…naa, she doesn't deserve it.

I don't blame her because some oil blocks are not so economically viable to attract any skilled or experienced owners. If everyone was avoiding a oil block, then is says something important about that oil block perceived profitability.

Okay, let them dash me one of those oil blocks which are not so economically viable.

I believe the Woman's story. It takes Faith to accept a Green block when you are not sure whether you'll strike oil or not.

Exactly what I believe she was expressing here but Nigerians have no chill...they twisted it as people usually twist my write ups on nairaland. ..lol!

And even more appalling is a woman they are calling an illiterate house maid is talking about an Oil Block and they(including Kayode) are talking about an Oil Well.

Who is now the illiterate?

This is why I don't fret at all at the riches of Nigerian billionaires...lies everywhere..

One said he went for his wedding with a borrowed car then on his way back he got a call that changed his life forever

Another said he made his money organising seminars for government parastatals.

Even the richest man in Africa will only tell you about how hardworking he was leaving out his romance with the leaders who paved way for him..

They present their story in such a way that a regular hustling guy will think he is cursed not to make it

Let's just work hard in a legitimate manner and leave the rest to GOD.

Despite her age, she still looks marginally attractive. So I wonder how she looks 20years ago, I am definitely sure the big Man that allocated her the oil well must have drilled her. Faith my arse. Who you they deceive.

She didn't say she accepted any Well. She accepted a block!

Wells are drilled after several Exploration activities, and several field development plans have been carried out.

It is a very tedious process that involves expertise, time and very importantly money.

Even that Kayode is just talking like an illiterate. Cos from his statement he doesn't know the difference between a Well and a block.

I believe the Woman's story. It takes Faith to accept a Green block when you are not sure whether you'll strike oil or not.

But what she didn't tell us the source of funding the project.
See,i understand where you are coming from. But the point here, is not about whether she received an oil block or oil well. The point here, is that there is nothing challenging about her story to upcoming entrepreneurs. I don't think one needs faith to receive a gift of which you have nothing to lose. I don't even think she had much of a choice about the condition of the gift she received. If she had told her story without trying to be vague, thereby leaving loopholes in it, i doubt we would be having all this hullabaloo about her story. I think she should chose a better storyline next time. It would have made more sense if her story was about how to network our way to powers that be in the Nigerian government than this faith based story.

Crooked individuals with enermous wealths have resorted to Attaching "Faith, God and miracles" to their ill gotten wealths to fool Ignorant Nigerians.

Thieving politicians have also gone down the route of Attaching religion to their lazy governance and politicking riddled with lies and deceits, hence letting themselves off from demands of basic Amenities by the Ignorant masses who elected them.

Politicians have been heard urging Nigerians to pray rather, instead of providing Good roads, Health cares, Electricities, clean tap water, schools and simple Basic Amenities for the masses.

the peddling of "Faith, prosperity, miracles and God will provide or help us" have become an epidemic nigerian youths have been sold the false and ignorant believe that "God will pick their calls one day" hence their lazy and unproductive Atitude.

Everyone is waiting for God to pick their calls and provide them with easy, wealthy or comfortable lives without having to do a days work. grin it's Ridiculous!
