So I will say the "mention notifications" didn't notify me until I stumbled upon the story..
I am not done with the episodes yet but what I have read so far shows that this is indeed your very first work...a man who took the first step.

And this brings me back to my Stand that "Everyone has a story to tell..."

TWENTY FIVE

What was billed to be a big pleasant day unfolded as a big mess. Some guests were just arriving. Some had arrived the previous day and some were on their way. They all had to be given some explanations as to why the event would no longer hold.

It was capital embarrassment, especially for the chief Barnabas. It would soon become talk of the town and his political career couldn’t have taken a worse start. Nothing less than capital punishment would be the only reasonable reward for anyone involved in the birth of this mess. To gather his facts, he began with his son.

“Listen son, I know we’ve had a lot of rough patches but we’re both victims here. I know you are upset right now but we have to be precise in our next line of action. Was she kidnapped? Did she go on her own accord? How many people do you think are involved? Tell me everything you know. If there is anything I don’t know, now I need to know.” Barnabas said in his dangerous calm voice.

Ali knew he had to cooperate with his old man, especially now that his voice was this calm. Nothing could be more dangerous. It was not the time to mess around.

“Dad, see. I’ve done a lot stuff that I am not proud of” he began.

“But I regret none of my actions… I knew her since NYSC and I have loved since then but she was too blind to see my intentions. She turned me down at every instance…” he told off his tale.

By the time he finished the story, the Chief had resolved to get hold of the girl no matter what. Who did she think she was to toy with his boy like that?

“You toy with my boy… toy with my ambition, you are so dead” he said out loud with an even calmer voice and rest his back against the chair and drew his son nearer to assure him all was under control.

“I’ve got this son.” He said to his son and then raised his index finger in summon to one of his guards.

If his political career would be killed at birth, it should be at least the handwork of a big wig not a fry like Hadiza. He would get that girl, and that useless boy would curse the day he met her.

The guard approached and bent his head till chief’s mouth matched his left ear. About seven minutes later, he returned with two men. The two men stood almost shoulder to shoulder waiting for their instructions.

Apart from their pants, leather jackets, heavy shoes, hand gloves and sunglasses that were all black, they differ in every other ways.

One was fat and dark skinned, the other was slim and light skinned, one was a ruthless a hit man, the other was a smart hacker. They differed in looks, style, ideology and method but they did the same job- Chief Barnabas’ dirty works.

“Return to me only if you have them. Bring them both alive. You can injure them if it’s necessary but I need them alive.” Chief instructed his boys.

He really didn’t need Jaye alive but his death or disappearance would raise suspicions. It was known that the girl ran with him. It had to be handled smartly. He gave his instructions and waved them away.

Domino and X-Ray had their job spelt out. They had pictures. They had devices. It was only a matter of time to get hold of the eloping lovers. The tracker showed Hadiza was on the move. She was still in Ibadan, somewhere around Agbowo. It didn’t take them long before they had her in view. She was driving alone, without Jaye. Apparently she was not running with him.

“Smug has got plan” X-Ray told Domino.

“They would definitely be meeting up somewhere. We will just chill” he observed.

They decided not to alert her. Instead, they followed her, at every turn, every stop they tailed her. They would wait for the right moment to strike. The best moment would be the time Jaye shows up.

This is unarguably a beautiful story as I read on and on... But,
Why do I feel that you RUSHING it?
Detail description must be given... you can't overlook it, you shouldn't. Or will there be flash back?? You must give details description of the event...i mean lay down a clear picture of how it happened..

Let's see... the Chief and his son were at akwanga Nasarawa state, right?
The hit men sent after her located her at Ibadan through her phone, it is understandable.. good!

But....

They suddenly were right behind her,probably same day following her every move... How did the made it to Ibadan that quickly?? Events must have taken place inbetween, why were they ignored?? Was it purposely left for the audience to figure it out? (Like how she got the car she was driving... how these assassins reached Ibadan in no time).You have done it alot in different episodes..

What I am saying here is.... in an attempt to be unpredictable, which is a hallmark of legendary writers..., You did a poor job in your detail description of the critical situation unfolding.

The audience are unarguably patient when reading an interesting story... They have all the time, they can wait but make no mistake about this, their appetite for more would be highly insatiable. That should not have been temptation for you to ignore the descriptive aspect to such masterclass.

Focus on that area...
I see you among the list of Nairaland literacy legends in time to come for you strike me like a man with Ideas.

While I would like to put the answers your questions in subsequent episodes, I'd crave indulgence and beg to let me put them into my next work. Switched being my very first attempt is full of errors. but since I've put it on okada already, i'll just ride it like that and pr'olly put some explanatory notes.

So Ali also served in Akwanga where he knew Hadiza...
As Ali's Fiancee, Hadiza got a job and a car.
The chief summoned his hit men one of which is a hacker to track the girl that disgraced him down. He gave the orders moments after speaking with his son the same day Hadiza escaped.
