Mr Paddy, the cockroach is never innocent in the midst of chickens. You display your affluence in a society were poverty is rife. You except the poor masses to cheer you. There is hunger in the land. No poor man will ever look at you and be happy. Use wisdom, if you have any, to relate and empathize with Nigerians. 1 Like |

To be honest, I thought that Chevron tale of his was fairly pointless. It was artful bragging, ostensibly meant to "inspire" us with his audacity and ambition, but was really just a reflection of the repressed insecurity felt by someone living in the shadow of his father with the public perception that he's just a child of privilege: so he felt the need to regale us with a tale about his "nearly" accomplishments. I simply couldn't understand the purpose of the story. It's the same with those that attacked Folorunso Alakija who tries to promote a certain image of her success being a product of her resourcefulness and ingenuity and vision and hardwork, when in reality, she might have had these qualities even with her limited education, but she was also a product of a deeply corrupt system with no transparency or accountability where oligarchs and cronies of government are empowered. If it is clear you're a self-made man like a Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs, or even an Oprah Winfrey who built a small billion-dollar media empire from crippling childhood poverty, you can get to lecture us about how made you are and how you made it. Else, stop insulting our intelligence trying to launder your image in a country where the wealthiest are often products of providence and corruption and crony capitalism. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

most people will still not agree but then he is correct. I've been trying so much not to look at the wrong people do, blaming it on perspective but then, we can't say every wrong is a Right for someone else just because of "perspective". I really do not think the leaders of this country are our problems but we ourselves are our own No1 enemies.. Not too young to run bill...Yah!!!! Youth wants to run...No we dont want youth, what does he know.. All the animal swallowing...No reaction except twitter rant and memes... It is said that, keep the people entertained and they will not bother you...BBNaija Unless we see to adjusting ourselves first, This country is not going anywhere... 1 Like |

He talks of bad belle being an epidemic, how about the endemic corruption, selfishness, self centeredness& greediness attitude of the Nigerian elite class. It is only when the situation negatively affect them that they cry out |

Let me tell you the truth, if you are a billionaire and you want people to feel cool with you just hide your wealth from them and pretend to be a pauper. Misery (and I daresay Poverty) loves company. Have you ever hit an Okada man with you jeep in lagos by accident? Even if he goes without a scratch, him and his 'comrades' will almost lynch you, calling you......'ritualist'...'blood money man' etc. It's all fueled by hate, jealousy and envy. If you are born wealthy people will make you feel 'guilty' for being too priviledged. If you are born poor they'll trample on your rights, your dignity and tell you to go to hell because they know you are helpless. This country sef! 4 Likes |

He needs to understand that the reason for all the envy, greed, fear etc is because people live for themselves first and only. If this is his advice, then deep down down he's suffering the same malaise as everyone else. Money might hide it for a while but in the day of fire, he would be found out. |

How to obtain financing with a low or zero credit score Life with no credit history or a poor credit score can be difficult. One of the first consequences that comes to mind is the reduced possibility of obtaining financing. According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), consumer loans increased by approximately 35 percent to a value of N786 billion in 2015. The country boasts over 60 million bank account holders. However, only 25 percent of these holders have any form of credit information or score to help in the assessment of whether they qualify for financing. In 2016, bank account ownership declined to 34 percent from 37 percent in 2015. As a result, majority of Nigerians face increasing difficulties in obtaining loans or credit products for personal needs or as funding for their new business ventures. For the majority of Nigerians with no credit history, they may be left wondering what options are available to them to obtain the financing they desire to get started on their goals whether it is starting their very own SME, paying for university or owning a home. If you are one of them or are looking for financing to rebuild a diminished credit history, take a look at these three handy tips. Consider a Guarantor One of the more common options is to approach someone you trust and request them to cosign your loan application as your guarantor. The good: If the person is of good standing and has a well documented and positive credit history, your loan application is highly likely to be approved. Your interest charges are also mitigated to some extent. However, should you default on your loan payments, the responsibility of the debt passes to your guarantor. It is advisable that you have a through conversation with the person you would like to act as your guarantor outlining the loan terms. This is a great way for younger adults or people with no history of borrowing to get started on building their credit file. Explore Specialised Loans....
