A bleeding heart, a dying soul Salty blood gathers, in tiny streams they flow Heated blood, spontaneous, not necessarily glowing in red Could be colourless, massaging an innocent cheek, like it ever cared! . A bleeding heart, a dying soul Littile hopes spotted, though one-legged with a diminishing glow And with the wind of each passing day, the flicker becomes indecisive That's when 'Hope For The Living' becomes hard to believe . A bleeding heart, a dying soul Definitely a ploy of the devil, a perfect timed blow Lest the bleeding heart forgets, 'His mercies are abundant' just a plea And with gratitude, needful shall it be to sing 'Nearer my God to thee' |
