100k is very low o, unless those houses that use general toilet. That's why I even suggest lugbe, that is where we stay too.

Thank you so much jazzyjazz and comtem. maybe i can start considering lugbe then. but i am trying to avoid the use of general restroom. so in lugbe or ushafa area like how much can i budget for self con or one room apartment?

Hello mothers. I'm a first time mum. My daughter is just a month old but whenever i breastfeed her, She pours immediately. Also, must u burp him after every meal?cos if i don't burp her after meal and put her to bed, she feels very uncomfortable. He even fainted when he was about 3 weeks cos i think d milk didn't digest which went d wrong way. I rushed him 2 d hospital and doctor just burped him and he was awake immediately. So doctor said i should always burp him after meal. Its kind of stressful to me cos i burp him 4 a minimum of 45mins to 1hr per meal which made her to be used to hand. Thanks

U must burp him.. And pls don't call that stressful... Not burping them immediately after each feed does more harm than good... It happend to my elder sis.. If not for my mums intervention... The milk was coming out thru her baby's nose which almost choked her...
So my dear, let it not stress u. 9mnths no be 9days

My dear,dat result tin d vex me.Submitted sample yesterday n d are telling me wednesday.Drinking d ORS na war sef.Tnks 4 d encouragement.
If u r trying to give your LO ORS, try and get syringe. The 10ml, fill and drop it little by little by the corner of his/her mouth. because even adult finds it difficult to drink cos of the taste.

I will get back to you on Monday, let me do some findings for you so I can get some prices (might not be actual but it will lead you). Hope Monday is not too far?

There are single rooms with personal toilets, so general restroom is not your portion.

Abuja mums pls come and help me shook mouth o. I need an accomodation in abuja either a self contained or a one room apartment in an affordable area with a fairly constant light. pls where can you recommend and the amount to budget

cc comtem2011 Anugod Nimi22 jazzyjazz and other abuja mums

What's your budget like?

bolubej:
i dont know what the package in the abuja is like but lets say 100k max
Around Dutse where we lived before, you could get a self con for around 100k (as at the last time I checked). Light used to be relatively stable then (not sure of now). As long as it's not in the central area, you could get cheaper houses between 100 - 200k.
WWhere I am presently, one bedroom is between 200-250 or 300k,depends.

I stay in lugbe before I married stay in Ushafa now. For decent self contain get like 150 up and decent one room 250 up.
I went to see a one roo, apartment with a friend last week and you can conveniently build a 3 room with that space as in the house is so large. She got it 350k, so it's ur pocket that matters now and light is constant here except there's an issue we have up to 20hrs per day.

Hello dear,

It seems you stay at Barracks. So from Barracks get to Iyana Iba. From Iyana Iba, take a bus going to Iyana Ipaja/Egbeda alight at General. Enter the hospital and ask for their MCC unit.

As for the days of immunization, I don't know. I'm a FTM and still waddling. But on two occasions that I have gone for my TT dose, it was on a Monday.

Good afternoon mamas! I'm only a peeper on this thread. Will register fully soon by God's grace.

Alimosho general hospital is at Igando. From Ojo barracks, drive down to iyana oba, then straight to Igando. lt is along the road, lasu /isheri road.

I had similar experience last Monday. Whenever, I feed him no matter how many minutes I spent burping, he will still regurgitate through the nose and mouth. But on Monday, it went straight back into his lungs. And he pooped and became still. I ran to the hospital with only pant and a wrapper. After observing him ( he came around before I got to the hospital he was on my chest all through and i was rubbing his back. But struggling to breathe.) for about 45 mins they changed their mind about admitting him and placed him on antibiotics because of the food debris that went to his lungs. And advised that I go to the teaching hospital for professional advice on how to care for such situations.
I decided to see my office doctor who is a GP at the teaching hospital. Below are his recommendations:
1. Always burp him after or in between feeding.
2. Always back him to maintain an erect position.
3. When he lies down ensure you raise his head more than his body.
4.Always lie him on the left side in case there is another crises the food will not go back to the lungs because the lungs is on the right side.
5. If the incident reoccur again, pat the baby on the back 3 times. It will send out the debris blocking the windpipe and if there is no response or the baby's hands and feet are Blue run to the hospital.
Meanwhile, he checked if the baby is Blue by closing all window and when the room is dark he used a white light. Torch to check if the baby is Blue. He also checked if there is a hole in the roof of his mouth. Finally, he prescribed flagyl instead of the antibiotic prescribed in the hospital.
Since then, I have noticed a great improvement. I don't burp for long minutes before he belches. Secondly the rate of his nasal regurgitation has reduced and the croaky sound he makes while breathing is gone. Above all measures PRAY. We shall not cast our young ones in Jesus name.

I put her on my shoulder and burp her
Okay.
I wanted to be sure you know how to do it.

Burp in between feeds, don't wait till she's done eating. Also no shaking her or rattling her when burping.
Try and be still, place her on your shoulder and gently rub her down.

Burping should not take more than 5 to 10 minutes. I think Alphahandmaden has given you different styles. Is the baby on formula? You could try a different brand or even soy.
