Nigeria is interested in purchasing the same Russian missile defence system recently sold to Iran and Turkey, Nigeria's defence minister revealed.

Nigerian military authorities have voiced an official interest in buying advanced S-400 air and missile defence systems from the Russian Federation. Nigeria's efforts to enhance its defensive strategic military capabilities is necessary as the country do not posses a strategic missile defence system. For some years now it has sought to have a long-range missile defence system of its own, as it is currently relying on old Roland air defense systems.

#BokoHaram video of execution of 'drug dealers' in Borno notable for many reasons. Depicts Boko Haram still exerting governance in certain areas; if it is indeed Shekau faction, seems he is now using ISIS production channel again. Split over?

Wow. The years of perseverance and research is finally paying off. Wondering how much of western tech is involved in its development? If the emirate can do this in such a period, nothing stops us from developing such with the brains we have abroad.

Have you watched the video? Those guys were flogged before being beheaded? If yes then the video is really old as the screenshot seems like something I have seen before and I have also seen comments on twitter about it being an old video.

I have seen the one you are talking about on Channels TV Documentary about BHT. Can you recall that guy casually chewing his chewingstick before he was shot?

This, however, is different. I can tell from its thumbnail.

I was doing research on this drone yesterday, it used to be called the Yabhon flash 20 and NAF placed orders for them a while ago. the website of the parent company no longer works, could it be a scam?

grin Are you saying NAF got scammed OR the military scammed we Nigerians grin grin

Plus, the Yahbon 20 seems different in terms of design so I think it's probably another UAV entirely.

Seems security at that location was very poor. Few soldiers because it seemed like an easy ops for BHT.
