I love how Igbos are not waiting for foreigners to build shopping malls for them. In fact they are competing with them.

Rochas lacks administrative skills. What's the purpose of the so-called underground car park when he has ongoing projects scattered across Imo State?

If the opposition wins in 2019, Imo State will undoubtedly be home to the highest number of abandoned projects in Nigeria!

Imo has no serious opposition but online liars and their paid e-warriors pouring water on stone. Okorocha promised to complete all his projects before May 2019 and even embark on more. So it is left for Imolites to judge come next year if they want continuity or paradigm shift.

Multi-storey car park in Owerri while nearly 1/3 of Orlu urban centre is at risk of going under by incessant floods due to the non-completion of a less than 800 meters drainage gutter starting from St Joseph's Catholic Church at the centre of Orlu to Ogidi valley.

St Joseph Catholic Church and many multi-storey buildings are already under sea level, waiting for possible calamity to strike.

Even the Catholic Bishop of Owerri diocese has pleaded with Okorocha to save this Church.

If Okorocha does this gutter alone, and leave the dilapidated internal roads of Orlu, fine.

This lga gave Okorocha the highest number of votes in 2011.

Orlu is part of Imo state,.

I come from Orlu, live in Orlu, encounter the problems in Orlu.
I am not from Owerri.

It's only a most parochial fellow who would regard the issue I raised above as "Orlu senseless talk," or disgusting.
Your problem with Okorocha and uncompleted projects scattered around "Imo state" must have been all about projects scattered in Owerri.

Because under Okorocha government, the name Imo state has been made by most parochial people to mean Owerri.

Good question. Good observation.

If a Catholic Bishop from Owerri zone would plead with Rochas to save the Catholic Church in Orlu by completing the drainage work in question;

yet the gutter is not completed nearly four years after the plea was made,

instead Rochas embarks on new and bigger drainage systems, broader streets, flyovers, inland roads, underground car park, in Owerri,

that should give you an idea about Rochas' relationship with Orlu.

Orlu senseless talk!

People talk about Rochas gross maltreatment of Orlu all over the media. It is to bring it to notice of incoming governors; Rochas cannot change.

This is the st Joseph Church in the heart of Orlu. Flood enters inside when it rains.

Just wondering why there are no streets in Owerri or Enugu selling ready made African clothes like these?

Always had to go to Lagos just to buy clothes before leaving Nigeria?

I hope someone will open up a plaza and sell these things so that we can buy them easily as souvenirs.
Thanks.

The amount of private citizens that are donating millions to PDP in order to oust Okorocha will shock you. Okorocha has deeply offended many with making Imo a disgrace, his cowardly cow-towing to Buhari even as Buhari killed imolites, demolishing ancestoral markets, UNPAID SALARIES, and worst trying to hoist is inexperienced freeloading son in law as his heir on us like Imo State belongs in his pocket.

The among of fund PDP has amassed from donations alone exceeds anything Okorocha can muster even if he stole the state budget (and he will).

They're also aiming to stop him from reaching the senate. The opposition is powerful but building in a quiet professional way.

They will not abandon projects how they will demolish some of the useless statues that are disgracing Imo worldwide.

Their money will be collected and the people will vote their conscience. The election will be score card based and not propaganda and lies like you think. Ndi Imo want continuity and not returning to Egypt.

Oga, go and sleep. One can never be governor for 8 years without offending people, especially in a fantastically corrupt society such as Nigeria.

Yes, I am always objective in my analysis. I can never turn a blind eye to the infrastructural revolution he has brought to the state. so, you don't mistake me for one of those Imolites with bring-his-government-down syndrome.

With your comment, someone can pass you for a PDP minion. It will be easy for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than Imo PDP to win Imo gubernatorial election.

Imolites are likely to settle for APGA than APC or PDP

APC is over in Imo State. Rochas has lost the backing of the federal government, and support on the ground. He now wants his inexperienced, weak, premature son in law to inherit the governorship lol. At the same time, Madumere is fighting to be next and Ararume is demanding it by force. Total and complete powder keg, and they're fighting for nothing because APC won't win 25 votes in Ideato South talkless of anywere else in Imo State.

Rochas has gone beyond offending people. He has solidified himself as an enemy of the state, a nepotist and a deception. He has no political barrings on the ground other that Abagworo posting old pictures in their thread and his son in law is even more of a political loser. APC on the national level is dying if not dead as well.

Meanwhile, PDP is united, focused and bigger than before. I don't need to tell you, we just have to watch.
PDP no longer exists in Imo state. APGA is taking over Imo

It's clear Nigeria is a broke poor country.Architecture, finishing and landscape is zero . i'll be impressed when i see stuff like below

Nigeria isn't a poor broke country(largest economy in Africa, 8th largest producer of oil globally). It's too rich for its own good. Corruption is endemic. Just imagine, the centenary city proposed in Abuja still hasn't started. When corruption is tackled in Nigeria that's when Nigerians will see the result of oil money Nigeria earns.

Countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia are our mates yet our cities and infrastructure are no match to theirs. Hopefully, things will change in the next 20 years as corruption is brought down, industrialization takes place, and our exports become diversified from crude oil.

In the next presidential election, Nigerians must look at tackling corruption as a benchmark for candidates.

Infrastructural revolution Rochas has brought to your darling city Owerri. Because your poor education tells you that a state capital is supposed to be developed by government to another century of modernity ahead of every other part of the state.

Abi, those worshippers at St Joseph's Church at the center of Orlu, and others living in the muddy/dusty streets of Orlu, shall troop out to vote for Rochas daughter to continue with developing Owerri to become a Mega City, while rest of Imo state decays?

Or others from other parts of Imo state outside Owerri who have for long been abandoned by Rochas government shall do your wish to return Rochas for Third term?

Well, you said talk about Orlu is nonsense talk.

You have no knowledge of voting statistics in Imo state, so continue to build your hope of Rochas succeeding himself in quick sand.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by discusant: 4:24am On Mar 05, 2018
@SoNature,

Be rest-assured: assuming Rochas successfully rigs himself into Third Term via his daughter - avoid mention of innocent Uche Nwosu who is being pushed to embark on a journey to displease most of Imo state -

whomsoever is rigged in by Rochas can NEVER last in office more than three months before the courts eject the person from Douglas House, Owerri.
