Well then, no surprise here: yet another politician is accused of corruption, and yet again another set of m.orons and criminally-minded tribalists rush to the politician's defense with such gusto that one would think they were directly receiving a cut of the illicit proceeds, but funnily enough these clowns as ever are offering their protection for free, even though they themselves are likely the biggest victims of any malfeasance by the accused politician. It's almost as if large numbers of Nigerians admire stealing, as long as it's done on a big enough scale. Steal a purse or a few oranges, and Nigerians will rush to fetch tires and gasoline for a lynching, but steal the funds meant to provide roads, healthcare, drinking water and education to the very same lynch mob members, and they will all hail you as "Big Man", "Chief" and "Oga", shamelessly prostrating themselves before you as if you were God's chosen representative on earth.

This really shouldn't need stating, but the right response to the perception of selective justice is to campaign effectively so that power shift hands, and then pay today's APC members back by dragging their thieves to court. Only someone with a crooked, thieving mentality says something like "What about Tinubu or Amaechi?" as a means of justifying letting accused PDP members go scot-free. Such an argument makes about as much sense as saying no one should ever be prosecuted for armed robbery because large numbers of armed robbers evade justice by bribing the police - in other words, it is an invitation to unrestricted looting, nothing more.

I don't need to "prove" or "disprove" a single thing about the man to point out the inanity of people attempting to defend him by pointing fingers at Tinubu, Amaechi or anyone else: it's a matter of simple logic and ethics that Ekweremadu's guilt or innocence has nothing to do with whether or not there are others who may or may not be guilty of the same thing. Ekweremadu's innocence is something to be determined in court, and not for a bunch of ethnic champions to unilaterally declare on an online forum.

At the initial stage of Buhari's goverment in 2015 to early 2016,this would have generated excitement and support for the government fight against corruption,but I can confidently tell anybody for free that nobody is interested again.
As long as those in Aso Rock,the likes of Dambazzau,Buratai,Kyari,Amaechi,family associates of Buhari severally fingered in massive corruption scams are walking free,the likes of Ekweremadu,even if one is not even a remote beneficiary of their own loot,would receive sympathy from Nigerians.
