Decale:Well I have seen Russell play enough to know no serious team would build their roster around him because he gives you next to nothing when his shots are not falling. Lonzo has his limitations but as a floor general has a much higher ceiling Russell would eat into the shots of these shooters and he's not even a great 3pt guy, his bread and butter is long 2's (which is a no-no for any would be efficient scorer) |

lolawilliams:Loool not this argument again. We keep telling you guys Lebron plays in a weak-a$$ East which is why he was able to make that many NBA Finals in a row in the first place. He wouldn't make that many in the West so the argument is moot. And it's not like he's not faced less talented teams from the West and still lost |
| Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 11:24pm On Mar 14, 2018 |
A40:The point is he was given away too early and too cheaply. If randle who started slowly is now looking like a stud what makes you think Russell couldn't do the same. Harden was a big defensive minus early in his career but he has improved. The NBA has evolved is such that a team looking to win a title can't depend on a point guard who can't shoot. D angelo surely can't do worse than KCP right now. Imagine a core of Kuzma, Randle, Ingram, D Angelo and lonzo all on cheap contracts playing together for one or ywo years with max contract spots opening up for free agents, that's an ideal rebuild. Trying to huryy won't work especially if we don't get Paul George or keep randle. The purpose of a rebuild is not to build a good team that makes the playoff but a team that can contend. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:54pm On Mar 14, 2018 |
etidy:Cheaply? They got an all-star center in Brook Lopez. The issue is all Russell gave the Lakers was scoring. Inefficient scoring If Russell could do the same we would be seeing the signs in Brooklyn. This is his 3rd year in the league Harden is still a mediocre defender but helps his team in many more ways. Can you tell me what Russell can do when he is not scoring? Kuzma. Randle. Ingram already provide enough scoring not forgetting IT and even Brook Lopez when he's in the mood. The presence of a serial shot-jacker like Russell would surely eat up their shot attempts |
| Re: The NBA Begins by etidy: 12:22am On Mar 15, 2018 |
A40:Lopez all-star center don't kill me with laughter. Lopez can't defend to save his life and we got him on a year rental. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:59am On Mar 15, 2018 |
etidy:He's been an all-star no? He's only 30 and still productive no? He's a vet and can be extended Bottom line they both give you the same thing only difference is Lopez is more efficient |

Double overtime at the Garden with the Celtics playing to the bones. Guys are playing over 40 minutes because of the injury-plagued roster. Tatum with the clutch move to tie the game but unable to knock down the free throw to give us the W in the 1st overtime. |

Isaiah Thomas is starting to look like some version of his former self. Good to see, though I may not like him on the Cavs roster and he may rub off on some people the wrong way but I really do want to see him thrive in the NBA. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 9:51am On Mar 15, 2018 |
A40:Not a new thing that the WCF Is tough but if LBJ played in the west, he would have even gotten more titles. would have been on a great franchise and great management. Imagine if he played in teams like Lakers,Mavs,Spurs,Suns or Rocket and not Cavs were he single handedly carried the team for years. And c'mon, Celtics, Pacers and the bulls were legitimate threat in playoffs when he played with the Heats Have you forgotten the heat had a competitive series against Pacers and Celtics compared to what they played with OKC. But if I'm to be honest, if LBJ played in the west, he wouldnt have made that much final appearances because you have to play a competitive game during regular season games to make the playoffs and that's more wear and tear |
| Re: The NBA Begins by lolawilliams(f): 10:03am On Mar 15, 2018 |
A40:Rockets would be a good place but I don't think that will be possible. Philly has tons of cap spaces expiring this year. I think he would go to Philly |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:21pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
J.R Smith saying he's not happy with his role on the bench.. That nigga better shut up and let Korver run things on the starting lineup. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:04pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
SmooshCHN:T. Lue sef don tire. Lue is refusing, some say he is avoiding another one on one meeting with JR. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:30pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
Roland17:Who can blame him? JR just wants to throw soup at him. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 10:32pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
lolawilliams:The Bulls had 0 titles and were in the NBA basement when MJ joined. Tim Duncan also albeit to a lesser degree since they still had Robinson at the time.. The Lakers were not always a great team either. Have you forgotten what happened after Shaq left? However since LeNomad came to the league the West had the Lakers , Spurs, Mavericks, Warriors, Thunder , Suns. Play at least two WCF. That's not even mentioning guys like one-time finalists like Houston, Denver. Jazz and also rans like the Clippers. The gulf in class is not close. The Heat were far and away the best team in the league and beat an OKC team of babies Durant - 23 Westbrook - 23 Harden - 22 Ibaka - 22. I'm glad you can at least admit he would not make that many straight appearances in the West. The competition there is tougher |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 11:04pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
A40:But by your argument it means being in the west would have been better for his legacy. Say he played in the west and made four finals, won four finals, is 4-0. Would that not be better for him than his current record in the east? Not even a subscriber of the whole final losses bull sh it (because it's the most re tarded argument in sports and the only reason it exists is because American sports analysts are imbe ciles). And BTW heats were the best team in the league, but stop saying far away like there weren't other contenders at the time. Not even close to what golden state was in 2016 let alone 2017. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:26pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
lolawilliams:I doubt it too especially if they are able to beat Golden State this year otherwise it would be a realistic possibility Philly is better in the long run but would Lebron have the patience for a talented but young team |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:15am On Mar 16, 2018 |
MitrikDenholm:Well we would never know this for sure, but the main point here is the fact that being in the easier conference to a large extent explains the 7 straight Finals he was able to get to. You can't choose when to accept or ignore the level of competition when making this argument. If you insist LeNomad played against stronger teams then you have to also accept that playing in a weaker conference aided his ability to get to that number of Finals In 2016, Golden State had just two players averaging more than 15pts per game. Just two Funny enough a lot of you Cavs fans don't even rate Steph! same people who think Westbrook is better than Curry and Klay Thompson who can only catch and shoot would still tell you the Warriors are the best team that ever existed |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 12:22am On Mar 16, 2018*. Modified: 2:57am On Mar 16, 2018 |
A40:Exactly. And that is why championships or finals losses should never count into how great a player is. Different paths, different circumstances, different eras, different opposition. Can we just talk about how good they are at the game of basketball? Yet Golden state were a -210 favourites going into the finals in 2016. Though korver is the best 3 point shooter in the league curry is the greatest shooter of all time and probably the best or second best point guard in the league and definitely a top five player in the league. I have never denied this. Klay is one of the greatest shooters of all time, hopefully after the warriors crash out of the playoffs this year he will go somewhere else and show people what he can do. I am always very subjective with my arguments. It's just that some people are allergic to facts. |

Love the production Korver gives the first unit. Our defence seems okay in the first. Let's hope it continues. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 3:53am On Mar 16, 2018 |
MitrikDenholm:How can someone say Korver is the best 3 point shooter and then Curry is the best shooter? Does that mean Curry is the greatest 2 point shooter that's ever lived? ![]() What's all this? ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 3:55am On Mar 16, 2018 |
In as much as Rivers has improved since he came back from injury, that final play was a typical throwback on his abysmal defence Even Harden shouted "He couldn't step up. I like him, I like him" Harden knows his twin. Smh... |

Decale:wo, na so we see am o, i kuku see am sef. the guy don tire person sef |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:59am On Mar 16, 2018 |
Decale:Give korver and curry 10 uncontested 3s. Korver will make 9/10, Curry probably less. In terms of accuracy, Korver beats just about everyone in the league. But korver needs screens and plays and what not. Curry doesn't, he creates his own shots and shoots off the dribble. That's what separates him from just about everyone else. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 4:00am On Mar 16, 2018 |
Donlittle:Let us all assume Curry is known for his 2 point shooting and that's why he's the greatest shooter of all time. Please... Before another moniker will have a nervous breakdown #Fortheculture |

MitrikDenholm:my goodness. This is one of the most ridiculous comments I have ever heard. You hate curry that much? |
