Is converting your wombs to workshops to escape poverty also part of Ibo culture?

Go and learn to play politics. Simple.

Don't mind people talking about Igbo presidency. They forget that na people go vote am. Who will vote for an Igbo man when no one trust igbos or when igbos have lost allies due to their hatred of other tribes? Is it "afonjas" or "abokis" that will vote for a "flat head"?

Forget Igbo presidency for now. Focus on developing the SE.

The USA and Europe still have their downside, even though theyre world power. With all the self-acclaim brilliance the ibos make, what do they have to show for it? Jews have Israel, White Americans have Cali and NY, Yoruba's have Lagos and Ogun, Hausas have Kano whose land is bigger than the whole SE, SAfricans have Johannesburg .... Kenyans have Kigali. What do Igbos have?

You knew Ojukwu was going to lose against Yaradua hence your support, but you didn't think Buhari was going to win an incumbent or defeat the almighty PDP.
You are deluded, it is now funny.

Ojukwu was also running before independence when we supported the north.

Some are even claiming Lagos that was developed by British and Nigeria as what they have
, very soon Gwari people in Abuja will start claiming Abuja and start beating their chest on how they develop Abuja.

So many kids here.
That's the problem with igbo people. An igbo man insults you, if you insult him back, he will start crying that he is hated. What ever treatment igbos are getting, either in the past, the present or the future, they brought it upon themselves.

The more correct statement would be that igbos have succumbed to the prevailing Nigerian mediocrity by investing significantly outside our region.

If we moved those investments back home, we could have a mini industrial revolution in the East.

I hope in the future, we think more home. We need to stop creating major investments outside the East.
It is no longer a sound business initiative.

You can work in the private sector, invest in shares, rent an apartment for your families.

But building major investments outside the East should be discouraged.

I hope the pressure can rise so that traditional leaders like the Obi of onistha can compel the likes of nestoil and coscharis,e.t.c.to think home.

They can have depots and annexes outside the East, but their major HQ should be home.

you are unknowingly saying igbos are detribalised when it comes to politics. Yes you are right, i am an igbo man and if you put fayose and okorocha before me to vote one person as governor, i will vote fayose immediately. Igbos always look for the person that has more to offer and that's why we rejected buhari and will always reject him. As for yorubas, we all know they will always go tribal when it comes to politics. You all can deny it all you want but the only reason yorubas voted buhari was because of osunbade the mere commissioner.

Why are you repeating this lie again and again.

You will vote fayose because you know that fayose asslick Igbo's while Okrocha is in ApC

Why not say you will vote for Someone different against okorocha rather than fayose.

I will also rather vote for Okorocha than to vote FFK or fayosecheesy

The Igbo nation has lots of problem. One of them is their undeveloped region.

When you point out that Igbo land is underdeveloped or that it's not inviting to investors, they shamelessly claim "we own all our businesses" "Lagos is no man's land" or that "with all Yoruba IGR, they have brown roofs". Did Lagos develop in a day? When did Ogun start becoming a business hub? History have forsaken these people.

They're ignorant of the fact that while Yoruba cities were developing, igbos were still fighting over women in their evil forest.
They claim that Hausas have Kano as no man's land, Deltans have PH, Yoruba's Lagos, yet they can't point to their no man's land or any state of that equivalent. What state in the SE can compete with PH, Lagos and Kano?

These people are so shameless.

Please let's take it easy with our internet madness..... I used to preach against tribalism and hate speeches, but now to hell with all of you. You in your shallow mindedness wasn't able to realize that Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi are giants in commerce just like the PH, Lagos and Kano you mentioned.
Please let's not always make fools of ourselves on social media, all because we have to comment.

All thanks to your never-allow-them-have-anything, policy since 1970. We do not depend on oil stipends or the federal policy to feed or have our own so called Lagos. If half of what Awusa-Fulani federal govt put in lagos is being at the same time put in just Nnewi (never say onitsha) the world will abandon Awusa-Fulani and Lagos. We are what we are and we beat our chest. Our human power made Lagos, we are never obsessed about that. The obsession is always yours and awusa-fulani who speedily grow in constant fear of losing this people that has given you the so called Lagos and Kano.

For the next 20-30 years, an Igbo man won't even smell Presidency. Nnamdi Kanu with his foolishness cemented that. Which Hausa man would vote for an Igbo? If ALL the political parties have Igbo candidates ...that's when you would see real abstinence from voting

Of what use is the presidency self

GEJ was president for 6 years, did it change anything about S/S There's nothing to show for it in south south

A yrouba man was president for 8 years and what did it change about S/W Nothing, instead he denied Lagos state it allocations for years, a state in his own region

What about the north? angry they are born to rule, yet they still have the highest numbers of illiterates with highest poverty in Nigeria.

An Igbo being a president will not add any value to igbos instead more hatred just like S/W and North hated gej, now see where their hatred have landed us to, MORE SUFFERING, MORE HARDSHIP. Igbos should focus more on developing their region instead of fighting for a presidency that'll bring more hatred for them

@bolded,

You started your submission well but the last paragraph was riddled with a more divisive rhetoric. To mention that the SW & North hated GEJ is to further instigate one against another. I can as well say GEJ hated SW coz his govt also marginalized SW & his handling of the insurgency in the North was widely seen by northerners as massacre of their people by the then Army Chief (Iheijirika).

So I will implore you to be more nationalistic in your views & try to be more rational in your argument coz the Nigerian matter has many facets to it.

Thanks. cool

In contrast, most other Nigerians go to the polls with hate on their mind. Do you know how we ended up with a dinosaur like Buharri? Its because some people couldn't endure to see Jonathan on aso rock because they think Igbos are enjoying his regime. These people operate on hate 24/7. Hate propels Nigerian politics, and I think Igbos should stay clear of the presidency.
