so as they were beating the abokii instead of him to be begging for mercy he was boasting to them amidst pains that his other colleague that just escaped has connection with some soldiers and dat in no time his colleague is going to bring soldiers to deal with everybody that's beating him up.True true his other colleague came with a pickup of four soldiers.i was watching frm a safe distance close to my hostel gate.so as soon as my colleagues in the hostel involved in the beating of the hausa guy saw the soldiers,they were about handing the phone theif to them when suddenly the soldiers told everybody to lie down on the dusty stony ground. Everybody including those that were watching but not involved in the beating lay down. The soldiers unhooked their leather belt and started whoozing everybody on their back. Me as i just dey witness d incident i codedly enter back into my hostel and close d gate. The soldiers lashed each of them lying down 10 lashes on their back with their belt. While they were doing this the abokii guy put his hands on his waist and he had a dirty smirk on his face. I felt for the Bini guy cos he felt the pain more than the others.he was just screaming and crying like a baby as he was being lashed by the soldiers. The soldiers gave the girl her phone and drove off with the two hausa guys. Some ppl said it was like one of the abooki was related to one of the soldiers.don't know if dis is true.anyway the Benin guy couldn't go to school for a week and he couldn't lie on his back. He was actually bedridden for a week. It was a terrible event and i was so lucky not to have collected any lashing myself. Na so d Tory end.

when you say working to end both the economic and cultural sources of women's oppression it simply means one thing;

culture and economic dependence are the root causes of women's oppression. therefore before we can end women oppression we have to end cultural policies that oppresses women because I believe culture is one of the root causes of women's oppression(especially the cultural policies of the African continent )

In a Malawi for example there's a tribe there which have a culture of; when a friend visits a family, the wife must sleep in the same room with the visitor during the night and the visitor can decide whether to sex or leave her but she can't sleep with her husband when there's a visitor " this is an obnoxious culture that need to be stopped. and for the part of economic dependency I believe when women are financially viable oppression ,physical or emotional abuse would be reduced to the nearest minimum.

There are many things being done by men that women would never agree to do so how is the ideology of equality going to happen? .

1. Hard Jobs; Women would never agree to participate in hard jobs. You would notice that 80% of women in the educational field, I mean when they're ripe for studying in the university most of them choose areas like;.
banking
mass communication,
theatre arts,
educational courses (for teachers) ,
journalism
nursing .etc. you can notice that these career areas don't require hard work.

2. Proposal;
In Primitive areas like the African continent women view proposing to a man as taboo, is that equality? no but as a result of culture hense the need for abolition of certain cultures.
