Very shallow minded people here. Because she is a woman, it has to be that she didn't earn the position or deserve it but she got it through dubious means.

The annoying part is that even ladies here are making such demeaning comments...ladies that have not achieved anything tangible in their lives.

Look at her portfolio and let it speak for her

Nop, Oga when you know people for that area, u go no say most "highly qualified & pretty female" appointees always have the upper hand over super qualified others with more experience. This is simple because of the goods they carry under them clothes & who they offer it to. Am not asking you to believe me but if God takes you to that area or some1 close to you, you will see what I mean

That day remember dis moniker grin
you now wonder why there are so few women in leadership positions if as you said “ they always have the upper hand “

I see this forum's position as one of the biggest havens of misogynists and sexist pigs is under no threat.

She looks like someone who has achieved a level of success you will never attain in your life.

I hope everyone can see how a woman who appears modestly dressed in pictures can and will still get accused of being a 'prostitute' by jealous,never-do-well males. This woman is married, doesn't appear in revealing clothes publicly and has had many years of banking experience. But for the crime of being young, attractive and successful, she must be an 'ashawo'.
Thanks for setting him straight. I just didn't know where to start educating him from.

Banking industry feelers say with over 20 years experience with global financial institutions such as Stanbic IBTC Bank, Zenith Bank PLC and Bank of New York Mellon, Diamond Bank PLC, the new CBN deputy governor-nominee, Aishah Ahmad, seems fully prepared for the position.

Mrs Ahmad was born on October 26, 1976, and hails from Niger State.

According to her profile in the most recent annual report of Diamond Bank, Mrs Ahmad was the Head, Consumer and Privilege Banking at the bank. She was previously the Head, Retail Banking Directorate.

She joined Diamond Bank in June 2014 as a Deputy General Manager and the Head, Retail Financial Services Division, overseeing Privilege Banking, Consumer Banking Group, Retail Assets, Cards and Customer Engagement & Insight.

Prior to joining Diamond Bank, Aishah worked with Stanbic IBTC Holdings where she served in various capacities as Head, High Net-worth Individuals; Head, Private Client Services and Deputy Head, Private Client Services between 2009 – 2014.

She had also worked with other companies such as Zenith Capital Limited as Head, Business Development, Bank of New York Mellon (UK), Synesix Financial Limited (UK), Zenith Bank Plc as Head, Retail Banking Unit, and NAL Bank Plc as Head, Private Banking.

Please if you don't know a person don't spread evil about them. This woman is one of the most intelligent women I have met. She is quick, aware and smart. It is unfortunate people just open their mouths and spew rubbish. If Nigeria doesn't give women like this a chance, they will be shooting themselves in the foot. Most of the people in CBN came from the Banking sector not just some people nominated randomly. Ashawo can get you to the level of SBE in banking after that only intelligence can push you further, banking isn't about only deposit you know it takes you to be quite versatile to handle certain transaction.

Be careful with your comments. I guess you are young... A female ED at Zenith will counter your premise in bold above. It is a case by case basis.

Do you understand the meaning of qualified ?

Most of her experience has been in retail and private banking now she's been pushed to a policy position. How is she qualified ? Nothing in her CV supports the notifications that she is prepared for a policy position. Does ability to attract accounts to her bank make her capable of managing an economy ?

I am a banker and a FCIB at the same time, this my tenth years as a corporate banker. I am just 4 years younger than Aisha Ahmad who is 41 years old. I am very conversant with the banking sector in Nigeria. I think it is unfair to denigrate women as not been able to rise to a certain level without the help of men or been labelled as a prostitute. This is very typical of lazy Nigerian men.

In banking the fact u served in retail doesn't mean that all u know. I said wat I said becos of the various banks shes worked in and the position she held. Retail banking isn't even just about bring in deposits. Its involves processing and management It's more vast than u can imagine. If u work in retail u can work in most areas of the bank quite easily.
