No vehicle history, engine started fine, but mild rattle at 3000 rpm that disappears ad 4000rpm. Possible crankshaft failure, possible bearing failure, possible balanceshaft failure.

Vehicle is being used and was supposed to come back yesterday for an inspection, but driver seems to have a mind of his own.

I did not expect the excessive buildup of sludge when I opened it up. @ that time I told owner to get a new engine.

@ gazzuzz, what might be the reason for this, after 3-4days i use 5w30 i ordered from you, my check engine light disappear on its own, i noticed this afternoon, what might be d reason for check been on before, a bad 5020 we used before that is as thick as palm oil lol (red oil)

possible clog in the VVTI solenoid is now clear of sludge.

I mean, did you done any job on this type of car in the past ?


Next month my brother in law is bringing a 1996 year VW Transporter T4 with 2.4 diesel engine, manual gearbox.

I am trying to find place where he can fix it up in case. It will be a danfo bus.


Do not want to give it to any kazeem, cos as we all know they will spoil the car in seconds.

First, i am not a Sir !

From what i can see here, You are using your brain to fixing things, and have tools from US / Europe market, not cheap chinese shit that road mechanics have . Diesel is not that diffrent than petrol engine. This T4 is really well taking care of, I was the mechanic who serviced it, so know the car really good.

In case i can always sent service manual for it in english, as well as parts. It's not a problem.


Just need someone who knows what he is doing.

Before shipping will fit an African version of termostat - opening temp is 80 instead of 87 celcius , fix some small things.
