a +1 i think spain and france have over other nations is that they have beasts[lukaku and costa] as strikers......not some lazy fancy ones like higuain, immobile and co.
Did you mean Belgium?

The Argentine team minus Messi is weak but ours is all over the place.
No structure whatsoever.
Anything is possible in that game though
Agreed. Both sides have their peculiar frailties and for sure, Nigerians will take courage from the 4-2 friendly victory.

My hands are crossed.

Okay. You're right tho.

Having a good striker who scores helps.

Spain won't be that potent if Morata was leading the line and I don't think Belgium will qualify for the world cup if Hazard was their CF.

Sampoli is making a fool of himself for not calling dybala, icardi and angel correa........Lingard proving he is a better choice to alli.......roberto martinez is a maga for playing my carrasco as a wing back........pogboooom is back and i still can't locate that headmaster kante or his assistant [bakayoko]
That one is still recovering from the nutmeg fest from Pogba at OT hence the intense adverse weather the world is experiencing, since he supposedly covers the rest of the world left uncovered by water.
As for Donkey, it is a shame how someone so inept gets called up by a national team. It is amazing how someone will still be saying he is better than Matic all because of airmax shoe.

The world is an unjust place for someone as daft as Donkey to get recognition of any sort while I have to ass-lick and grovel to be promoted at my job despite putting in insane hours of crazy work

Rohr should stick to the personnel and tactics he used to execute the qualifying campaign. That's a starting point. Experimenting at this phase won't advance us beyond the achievement of qualifying undefeated.
Agreed that there is room for improvement but so far I think we haven't gotten anything positive from these two friendlies

We need to establish our strengths and play to them. There was an already existing structure in the team prior to these friendlies. I would think the best approach would be to consolidate those strengths rather than tinker with new ideas that would affect the psyche of the mostly technically average players we have.

There's a lot of enthusiasm but the end product is naught. Even the friendly we won, we scored courtesy of a penalty. I didn't see the Serbia friendly but I doubt if we created goal scoring chances.

Hopefully, Rohr knows what he's doing. It's possible we have an outing akin to the one we had at Korea-Japan 2002- lots of enthusiasm but failure to qualify. Na "we try" we use chuk ourselves for mouth as consolation.

Let's cross our fingers.
There used to be this myth that we can produce an 11 to represent us at tournaments from the mock nations cup at Ajegunle. It's looking like one of those India vs Nigeria tales. We really don't have the combo of strength and flair players that the 94 set and to a lesser degree the 98 set had. Just efficient players.
Moses is the closest we have to a game changer. But he's been utilized in the WB role for forever. Mikel will put in a decent shif but that's as much as it gets.
The rest are just there. We don't even have an able goalie.

Enthusiasm will only carry us so far. We will get exposed if we are hoping just on that.

Very average.
It's only in Nigeria that someone like him will pay media houses to sing his praises so he can waste one slot at the World Cup
I agree! The dude shouldn't be seen anywhere near Russia. We can do better than take that guy to the world cup.

Joel Obi should be on the bench as 1st substitute for Ndidi ie the runner from midfield.

I haven't watched todays game but I guess he is getting slack because people expect him to reprise the Mikel role which he cannot.

Moses Simon is a winger so does not come into the conversation.
Joel Obi shouldn't be even seen near our bench. Dude is shockingly average. From the 2 games I have seen so far, I refuse to believe that he is amongst our best midfielders. God forbid.

OLODO. cheesy I drink palmi every Friday evening with the gods of thunder and lightening.

I merely explained my point with instances. If I wanted to diss you guys I'd say something about Morata missing his period or how Hazard's affinity for the pole is greater than that of the stripers at Ocean Blue.

Cool down your hotpantz, Pastor Jericho. I no get una time grin

Donkey is not in France squad. He was called up for a friendly against Spain last year and promptly passed the ball to Spain attacker in his own box leading to a penalty. Deschamps has never called him again after that.

I expect them to flounder BTW. I'd be surprised if we made it past the group stage.

Which African team do you see going far? MoSallah should wreck havoc for Egypt.

Agent Willie started the move for Spain's second goal. He placed a sublime, well-weighed pass directly to the feet of his opponent. The accuracy no be for here.

His talent and knack for making goals happen rivals KdB's only.

Croatia will be too technical for us to handle. Hopefully Argentina won't get their bearings right before the competiton. Iceland is the unknown quantity but even at that underrating them is to our peril. I still think we stand a 40-60 chance of making it through if we go back to the basics and enhance our strengths (wing play, athleticism- things these Europeans usually find tough to cope with)

As for the rest of Africa,

Egypt has a decent chance, because their group is fairly easy. Only Uruguay are their headache in that group.

Morocco may have a chance depending on if Portugal comes to the party in that group, though I haven't seen them enough to assess them properly.

I don't expect anything from Tunisia. They always qualify but hardly make any impact and their group is too much for them.

Senegal could cause a stir though this version of their side doesn't really strike me as a cohesive unit like the 2002 set.

Only Egypt looks like a decent bet to qualify.

Well, that's because we have not done out work. There is no way Joel Obi should be on that plane to Russia based on what I have seen.

This country is blessed with talents and the coaching crew should get to work and discover these talent both at home and abroad.

But Donkey making France team at any point is an insult on my personality and on anyone who is a professional. The guy is a calamity.

That's all I got to say.
