When a wife refuses to see reasons with the husband , after so much explanations about the situation of things, despite the facts that the husband provides the basic needs of the family except the luxury ones, she still insist that the husband is being stingy, that the house will not be peaceful for him , and the feelings she had for him are dead. Is this the right time to call on the inlaws to call their daughter to order?
Never call the in-law.

Give her time, let her see reason then visit a marriage counselor

I don't understand how a grown up will 100% depend on another human all in the name of marriage. I'm on maternity leave and it beats my heart to see almost all the women in my compound stay at home, while their men have gone out. Will the men specie die to please women ? She complaining , what is she bringing to the table ? You are both responsible for the family , and if she can't be patient until things fall back , then she should go out and work. Men no come live and work for women.
Your breed is very rare madam. Indeed you are a blessing to womanhood, more grace.

How do you know ?
Re: Is This The Right Time To Call The Inlaws? by Nobody:
Hmmm sometimes lack of communication is a problem.
Does she know how much you earn?
Does she know what you have in your account? Or you choose to keep it to yourself?
Does she understand your job? (Do you tell her about how work goes down, your runs etc?)
Does she understand your dreams?
Etc
If the answer is no to most of the questions, please call her and start intimating her on these stuff, it might even ginger her to work even harder for your mutual financial gain.
If she still doesnt understand all these, please involve your inlaws to talk some sens e into her. Sometimes the wisdom of an elderly person is all you need.
Please disregard all those children shouting that you send your wife away. A good marriage is something you work on everyday, it doesn't just happen.

Cannot say if uttered out of anger but that's a strong and heart breaking statement. her behaviours now showed she meant it.
Trying to understand the roles of the inlaws in situations like this...or are they going to make her get the feelings back?

Give her some time, if no improvement package her and dhl her back to the inlaws or village.

I guess you married her as a 'rich guy'. If she didn't feel you promised a life of luxury at the time you were courting her and when you eventually married her, then she wouldn't suddenly start demanding more than basic things.

You're not allowed to step down from richness to basicness, deal with it. That goes to you and the stupid girls who see money as something that is etched to someone's DNA.

Deal with it.

I agree. You should talk to your inlaws and ask them to talk to to their daughter in the language she will understand.
Yours is different, I had to lock up my brother in law for 1 week after he squandered a huge amount of my money. cheesy

No, it's not. It never is.

What needs to happen is for the Wife to be served with divorce papers by your Lawyer.

Man the (rhymes with a pronged eating utensil) up.

PS: That or give her a co-wife. Then her body that is hot will settle down.

No ...but it's right time to give your in laws their daughter .
otherwise she will bring you death with her dead feelings ....I hope you're reading death by marriages news on nairaland front page almost every hour? if not, better start and save your dick being cut off.

You must be a child.
The OP is talking about marriage, not relationship.

Also, When you enter marriage mode, feelings mean very little. It's mostly about responsibility.
It would be foolish for A man to say he won't pay the rent because he is having a dissagreement with his wife.
Just as well it is raw stupidity for a woman to say she won't carry out the duties of a wife because she has a disagreement with her husband.
From the sounds of it, this is a naija traditional marriage where the female is expecting to be financed completely and totally while she stays at home.

If guy is doing all he can, she should go and find work if she wants to keep up with the joneses.

I detest bringing in third parties to solve couple disputes except as a very last resort. Did they woo your spouse for you in the beginning?
Talk to /with your spouse yourself for now.

If you are in Nigeria, why are you concerned?
There is nothing a woman can do to a man in naija. You simply kick her out to go and see how hard life is at her parents house while you carry on with life stress free. undecided I really don't understand.

If you were in yankee now, I would have said your own has finish because she would be the one to kick you out of your house, while you are forced by the law of the land to be financing her from a distance as she brings other men to your house.

There is a reason most modern men currently do not marry in the west ...but in Nigeria, no cuntic female can stress any man.
Put her in her place. You are being too gentle.
Re: Is This The Right Time To Call The Inlaws? by adidison(m): 1:18am On Mar 30, 2018
Looks to me like wify is just looking for an excuse to do something bad ... no matter what she can't just say the feelings she had for her husband are all dead & no peace in the house ... come on now! With a statement like that calling her family wouldn't change anything, infact I think it might make things worse, ask her what she really wants, hopefully she is patient.
