Hello house,

I applied for my visa interview alone but now I want to apply with hubby.

Problem is I can only change the date of my interview but I can't include a family member.

He also can't include me on his profile to schedule an appointment cos it would show that my mrv receipt has already been used.

Any help on how we can apply together?

I would say just pick the same interview day and time and go in together and you can be interviewed together. I think.

Hello everyone, please I need an advice. I had shared my POE experience weeks ago where I wasn’t asked about duration of stay or pregnancy.
DH is joining me soon and I will like to know if he needs to mention child birth at POE or he should simply say vacation. I intend scanning receipts to him and his duration of stay is 4 weeks
Thank you.

He can say he is traveling to witness the birth of his child,he should be prepared in case they grill him

It’s not discounted. You’re even better off buying on Amazon, Target or Walmart cos there are better deals on there still.

I was at the store yesterday and YES most of the items were on sale. I got very good deals

Maybe the one you went to. I went to two different ones around me looking for some items and a convertible car seat for my toddler and after using my price match app and checking around, Amazon was still better for me. They mark up the price before the sale and then they discount the price based off the markup to give people the illusion of a sale.

Oh I see! I was at the one at Westheimer, Houston. I was there for books, educational toys etc for my older kids and not necessarily baby shopping. I guess it’s worth the try depending on what you are looking for.

Wish you luck with the search, but just incase you don't get anyone before your departure date, just go to the airport very early and start asking people, you just might be lucky to get someone. All the best

Hello people,
please has anyone used Dr F in Houston recently?
His online reviews & patients' feedback are so diverse - from the very nice to the outright not-pleasant.

please if u have used him in the last few months, kindly quote me & drop a few lines on your experience with him here. I have an appointment with him soon.

I had my baby in June 2017. My Dr was Dr Z but he couldn’t take my delivery. Dr F was assigned to me. I had seen horrible reviews about him online and I got to experience this first hand. He was so nasty, I had to file an official complaint to Oakbend about him. He was very rude to me throughout my labour. I had a tear during delivery and when he was stitching me up I could feel the pain and I was reacting to the pain (I didn’t take epidural). His exact words to me were ‘Look here, I have numbed the area so I know you are not feeling any pain, if you move again, I will leave you here and walk out’. I wonder why people go to him. Maybe he was nasty to me because I wasn’t his patient or maybe he was in a bad mood but I wouldn’t advice anyone to use him knowing that he can flip at anytime. Oakbend wrote me an apology letter afterwards (who apology ep? ). My birth experience was very horrible thanks to him. P.S I’m not a newbie to childbirth. My first were twins. Had an unmedicated vaginal delivery for the twins in the U.K (no epidural) my delivery for the twins was a lot more pleasurable than the singleton birth handled by Dr F. I do not wish him on my enemy.

Wow! Thanks for this firsthand review and I'm sorry you went through that horrific ordeal.

I've been corresponding with Dr. F and was just about to pay to get an appointment date but now I won't.

Pls what's the full name for Dr. Z (Admin kindly allow this just this once) and is he with Oakbend too?

Also, I'll be glad if anyone has personal reviews to share on Dr. X of HNWMC... I don't really trust online reviews.

This strikes me as being quite risky. Please don't hand over this precious gift from God over to just anybody for convenience sake. I remember someone advised you earlier not to try travelling alone with twins.

Please consider your husband or someone you know. It's more expensive but safer. How will you cope in the air handling 2 babies or with a complete stranger looking after your LO? You still have April...please reconsider this plan.

Hello Everyone,
I need help pls. I only recently stumbled on this thread and realise that things are not as easy as I hoped it would be.
DH and I planned to go for our Honeymoon in June at LA. We started our application last week Monday and got an appointment date for May 17th same day. Problem now is 3 days after, I find out that i'm pregnant. It has always been our intention to give birth in the US, however we planned to conceive in August. We have now shelved the idea of honeymoon and want to work towards birth in the US.
Pls what steps do I take now. DH has about 2Mil in his account at the moment, so i'm worried that if we indicate pregnancy, they might refuse on the grounds that his funds are not on point. I don't earn so well, so i can't even contribute to the overall balance, however DH earns quite well.
Pls help.

Steps to take are in page 0. Copied from page 0!!!

Tips For Giving Birth in the USA

1. Apply for a B1/B2 Medical visa, go with evidence to show that you have a hospital, doctor and funds to cover accommodation, medical treatment and any other incidences. (This is popularly referred to as burden of proof on this thread).

2. Be honest during the visa interview about your intention to give birth in US.

For your specific case B2 is the same category for vacation and medical. No worries there if that's what you chose. They usually give B1/B2 anyway.

Find and choose a doctor and hospital and have evidence that they are ok to treat you....declare your intention at interview even if not asked.

I'm not sure 2million covers the cost of birth, accommodation etc. You or your husband need to have evidence of funds to cover your birth plan. Average I've seen here is between $15k and $20k. Avoid lump sum transfers and "sudden" deposits to your account.

Cancel your appointment, both of you should book a particular date and interview time, arrive embassy together, keep following yourselves bumper to bumper until you land infront of the VO grin
