I billion dollar for run way that's 365billion .that means we will break the bank for a brand new airport, I have been to many airports, there is no run way anywhere in the world that is worth 1billion dollars.
LordAdam16:

Oga you can not "reconstruct a runway entirely with $16m".

The cost of building a new runway for international airports that'd land modern wide-body aircrafts easily exceed $1b in saner climes -- https://www.quora.com/Why-do-airport-runways-cost-so-much-to-build-Brisbane-Airport-Corporation-reported-that-a-new-runway-would-cost-1-3B-and-is-seven-years-away. An entire reconstruction would not cost 1% of that. In Nigeria where public construction is often at least 300% more expensive, expect that price to be much higher. They only repaired a section and repainted the tarmac.

For 16yrs of PDP misrule, what legacy can they show Nigerians? Dollar was N160? who dollar help apart from those that looted our treasury.. GEJ initiated TSA but no political will and guts to implement it.. Today PMB implemented and they are still mourning their defeat from 2015 elections.. No matter how tough things are now, it can never be compared to the time of Abacha.. If l may refresh your memories about Ghana, When Jerry Rawlings took over, things were tough and many Ghanaians littered the street of Nigerians. After few years of Jerry's reform, things became better in Ghana and most of them left to their country. Most of you ranting know nothing about governance and what propels governance i.e the economy .. listen and watch this especially at 6:26mins into what a renown economist was saying. (for 16yrs PDP created room for looting our treasury in the name of subsidy) (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7QDjzTTrag) The truth is most Nigerians have volatile memories.. PMB till 2023

This man is a legend. He analyzed everything succinctly.

Although PMB is making an unpopular decision but it takes a strong government to effect reforms that will benefit the country in the long run.

This Sanusi Lamido has something upstairs and he’s courageous.

I didn't want to speak on the Buhari challenge but if this is the best BMC could do to defend Buhari against this challenge then this is truly sad. 3 years in office and all you can boast of is predominately incomplete highways/roads. Are you niggas serious?

Question: WTF have Buhari and his administration been doing with the billions in loans they keep getting?
PDP are thieves but they ain't got shit on APC. APC it's obvious una are the Don of corruption/looting. My Hod this shit is beyond sad

Buhari has borrowed N11 Trillion in three years and this is the best that BMC can showcase. Buhari is the worst president Africa has ever seen after Idi Amin

I wonder why npower beneficiaries don't have this level of passion they have.

Don't be such a know it all because Brisbane elected to build a runway worth $1.4 dollars does not make it the standard or the lowest needed to build a runway. Here is a link to how much it costs to build a new runway at heathrow 7.2bn pounds

Continued Project....and Ongoing

http://www.pwh.gov.ng/galary/gallary_thankgiven.php

It baffling to me when some Nigerians find it so hard to accept the marginalization of the southeast just use the ongoing Construction Of Loko Oweto Bridge Over River Benue In Nasarawa and the Benue States for example if the federal government is using taxpayers money to construct a strategic bridge near the same length as the second niger bridge. Why can't the same federal government use taxpayers money to construct the second niger bridge that is so or even more strategic than the one motioned above. Why will the southeast be the ones to pay from their own pocket the bill of constructing the second niger bridge? They will be paying for 25 years while the other side will be enjoying it for free.

It baffles me how peeps here reason...

Someone met huge funds and was swimming in oil money but was unable to pay contractors before leaving office, borrowing to pay salaries, negotiated what he couldn't pay with ASUU, ASUP etc, depleted our foreign reserve and lead/droped us into recession.

While you have another person that has paid and still paying those contractors, paying salaries, gave out bailout to states, rehabilitating abandoned paper projects, boost the confidence of investors, reduced agro based importation, encourage local farmers, boost our external reserve, have good relationship with the western world such that they are willing to sell to our military, reclaimed all lost territory from terrorist...

One was president for 6 years while the other is 3 years old...why not allow the 3 years old president to do 6 years if it's the will of God and then start castigating...

We have seen how long it takes to pass budget in the last 3 years of this administration and expect magic to happen all because some "sinators" have charges against them...

Maybe if this current president allowed free for all; i bet the budget would have been passed, some people will buy new houses, fly private jet with their girlfriends, pay pastors and Iman for prayers, stash our money abroad, luxury cars etc from their "hard earned money" and our economy will boom wink

I understand the hatred for the current president but reason with your brain not your nose... tongue

It is now your turn to tell me if you have removed that dry poo sticking in your anus or is it part of your christianity to be walking around with dry poo in your anus since the use of water for washing is forbidden for you?

And what exactly is your point?

Are you normal?

Someone said "there is no run way anywhere in the world that is worth 1billion dollars," I provide an article of a runway that'd cost around that amount, then you quote an article that talks about a 7+ billion pound runway and say I shouldn't be a "know-it-all"?

So how does your reference my statement,
mr Know it all my assertion is that it can be higher than your claim or lower don't be so finger itchy. Check this lonk south Africa built 2 runways for R400 million rands you're not the only one that knows how to use google

You are a transporter and I am a reporter. Most of those project listed by APC were initiated by PDP. I'm not defending PDP, all I'm saying is Buhari has tried a lot when it comes to commissioning FG project birthed by GEJ. As for his own project there is nothing on ground for now.

That's why U never here them bragging about their roads because they inherited most from the previous government.
The only project I know they did is the airport's runway.

Take the bridge in Benue for example, money was released 2014.

For D dualization in Kogi - Benin road money for that one was released January 2015.

You might have seen those roads when travelling, but I edited reports about them when part payments were paid to the contractors in 2013 - 2015.

If you doubt me pls use D links attached to my comments. Thanks.
My friend what is the wisdom in starting new projects when you have abandoned road projects everywhere in the country? Do you know that some of this abandoned projects are older than PDP itself? Please let us apply common sense here and leave sentiments aside. Honestly, it is way easier to start new projects and pretend to be doing something, then add that to the list of abandoned projects, some of which are more than 20 years old in construction.
