Exactly...
But a map?? Enlighten me better cos I was thinking that would be an overload or congestive.

Agreed it may be a bit overkill...but I was thinking a map faded into the background that you can just barely see.

@gaby, I'll advise you to publish the book with okadabooks.com, that way you get to receive your money straight to your Nigerian bank account and readers could also purchase the book easily. Amazon/kindle should be the next step if you want to. Remember, your main audience are Nigerians.

I vote for the second cover because the background image relates with the title alot better than the first background image.

But the first cover implies the story of one person, the traveler. @gaby, I like the first cover and the positioning of the titles; makes them more accessible to the eyes. But I think the background image is too bright/new; you can make it older and dim like the second cover..

I think i'll just go with this after getting myself acquainted with how their systems work, while i continue working on the complexities of publishing on amazon for a wider reach.

Seeing how experiences in life has taught me not to ignore fine prints when signing contract documents,i always try my best to read and understand terms and conditions.

Just got the following from okada books and thought to share, you know like with most things our Nigerian ways you never can tell.I want to be sure i wont publish on their site while someone at the back end starts profiting from my struggles and ordeal by electronically distributing and selling my work without my knowledge.

Please i need you guys to help me read and try dissecting this piece. There are many other terms confusing there but just picked out this:

[b]
[b]3. TERM AND TERMINATION

Before we set off into Niger we've been advised on the need to hide our monies properly because of robbers.

So we resorted to folding the bills to the size of a tampon wrap in a nylon and insert into our assholes grin straight up it gets sucked in and buried in your belly.

Whenever you'll need to defecate always remember not to forget you are about to log into your bank account. So at every poo time you get to fiddle with your poo, wash and reinsert. If you need to buy or pay for something, you poo, fiddle to reach your bank, make withdrawal,re wrap and return balance to account.

All the dollars for there dey smell so so shit..lol

Gaby, please and please. Give this book more time. I feel it's being rushed. Haba! Just 5 days to pen your dark experiences? Abi na short story you want publish?
Sit back and relax, remember some more intriguing parts of the story, I want to believe there is more. You'll be needing an editor too. And someone to proofread for you. I so much love your work I want it to be a great success.

I might agree with you on your opinion of the title but concerning. the cover...

Yes, he is telling a story, his own side of a journey he undertook willingly but with others on the way, therefore he is not only telling his story alone but the story of other travellers too whom he met along the way.

So, what I am saying is he is telling a story of a journey no man makes on his own without companions, therefore I am in support of having a picture of three people enjoying life at the moment despite the circumstances than a picture of a person standing as if all hope is lost.

another reason why I support the second cover is because of the desert portrayed in the background and the Africa sun which both relates with the title.

The title should be more visible but I don't think it should block out the sunset...
