Yeah they're looting........but working while at it.

Mention yours that are looting and working at the same time.

By the way, I thought that looting, especially by APC people, stopped since Buhari became president fighting corruption seriously with inclusive cleanliness?
Was I wrong grin

Looks like Ambode is governor of bus stops, smh. little wonder he had no other mega project to show to Mr President that's why he took him to re-commission the Eko Atlantic city which was already commissioned by Jonathan. You are here celebrating bus stops with all the taxes they are killing lagosians with, it is bus stop they have to show for it. Sorry for you sad

How about the United States of America where plenty Lagosians and other Nigerians are using different formulas to hang their tipatipa by force? Even though black lives don’t matter to the whites who developed and continue to maintain the place.
Is that wisdom or stupidity
Guy, mention the "smart" states since Lagosians are dumb so we'll compare.

Leave diasporan matters alone.....almost every Country worldwide has illegal immigrants in the USA.

Is it not sad that four decades after Buhari cancelled Jakande’s metro project, the same governance failure will commission a bus stop and make Lagosians trek?
How are the mighty fallen

Chai, see how low we have sunken. Shittyhole people indeed.
Why can’t you benchmark to the oyinbo countries where Lagosians and other Nigerians are passing through slavery in Libya to flee to Why don’t you want to do that?

simplyhonest:
these are great capital development projects... when will human development projects start??

Everything about this project in the first place.

"Human development is the social and economic dimensions of a country are based on the health of people, their level of educational attainment and their standard of living."

The government invests in projects/infrastructures that makes people life and living conditions better, lowers stress level, creates jobs to reduce poverty and boost Par Capital Income, grows the government's tax/IGR base to fund similar life-impacting projects and investments in education, healthcare and so on.

Humans are the beneficiaries of these projects, humans from construction workers to bricklayers, electricians, plumbers, painters, roofers, food vendors, sign writers, management companies and so on are going to build and maintain these projects and they are all going to get paid to feed their families, send their kids to school, recycle that money back into the economy. This is how you eradicate poverty, this is how you raise living standard, this is how you boost Par Capital Income.

A bigger thief that knows other thieves right?

He called your Atiku a thief. I want to believe that you are not a thief and won't be able to identify one.

In all his blasting of Buhari, he has never called he him a thief. Recall that both men had worked under him. Obasanjo, being who he is, won't hesitate to call Buhari a thief if he finds the slightest reason to do so.

We all know Obasanjo's grouse with Atiku. You can choose to be deliberately ignorant of that but that is your lookout. Atiku was a major factor that stopped Obasanjo's 3rd term bid. That is an open secret.

He has to take Obasanjo to court and prove that he is not a thief. That will also entail detailing how he amassed his stupendous wealth.

Now, going to court won't be a wise decision, would it?

Ambode is doing great. But I feel the amenities that really really matter aren't being touched.

1. I don't want to believe that pipe borne water for households is an impossible task in this country.

2. Waste management is still an eye sore in Lagos as people now open dump refuse on the road and road medians

3. Developed cities have subways/underground railroads, metro lines etc that ease the traffic and movement of people. Building motor parks and bus stops isn't the only way to go.

4. Maybe eventually all these projects will combine to give Lagos a good look but truth be told, there's still a long way to go as most residential areas in Lagos are still far from being urbanized.

I didn't mention constant electricity supply because that's not under the purview of the state government unless I'm wrong.

Kudos to him. I hope other governors in the Southwest can learn from him.
Thank you. You really said the truth in an unbiased manner. As much as we appreciate large-scale bus stops with all bells and whistles, we must not fail to recognise the fact that conventional bus stops are becoming dinosaurs in a much global scale. Far developed cities are thinking about how much more people will abandon their cars in cities and not jump on buses, but adopt bicycle culture, hop on trains running on cleaner energy and shorten the distance from place to place.
We should also not fail to voice out the fact that Lagos is becoming much more dirtier in this regime, and yes, electricity for homes and offices is still far behind. Not just about lightening up the streets alone.

You are right. A major sign that a city is developed is when the rich actually prefer to take public transportation instead of personal rides and then worrying where to park them.

When the poor have access to what the rich also enjoy, then, that is a developed society.
