it supports QC2.0, but don't support QC3.0

there isn't much of a difference between qc 2.0 n qc 3.0, qc 3.0 is more flexible with voltage n current more than 2.0 which is fixed. A qc 3.0 will work on a fone with 2.0 and a 2.0 will work on fones with 3.0 with negligible difference in charge time

I did my own little research nd found out from miui forum that rn5 does not support quick charge but rn5 plus does,and it's QC 3.0 snapdragon 625 has,the thing is if you are using a quick charger of 3.0 it will charge at that rate but if you're using the 1 of 2.0 it will also charge at 2.0 rate. They had proof thwre and lots of testimonies of their phones charging from 0 to 100 in just 1hr and some minutes

it will be about 1hr 40min, 0 to 100 on a mi 5s plus with qc is about 1hr 30min that's a 3800mah battery

redmi note 5 (india) is the redmi 5 plus we all know, and I'm sure it has quick charge. Is it the redmi note 5 pro (India) we know as redmi note 5 that doesn't support quick charge? I'm lost here

Even note 5pro (india) is 2.0, but note 5 (china) is 3.0

apart from the front camera megapixel, i believe the Chinese version is a better deal

Affirmative! Qualcomm sd 625 supports quick charge and that is the chipset present in redmi 5 plus. However, I heard somewhere that redmi 5 plus although having the capability to do so, does not support quick charge 3.0
Maybe it's a software thing and xiaomi might have enabled it to support quick charge 3.0

Actual test by the end users should confirm whether it does.

I kept reading and some guys said just because the chipset supports it doesn't mean the rest components of the phone do,nd might cause damage to the phone,so I think I'll just stick with the normal charger when the phone arrives,or are those guys just being paranoid?

Personally I feel you should use your phone like that. The quick charge is a good feature though.
