The most religious state in USA is MISSISSIPI. That state ranks as the poorest in USA among states. The only ones than rank lower are not in mainland USA and they are not even states, the likes of Guam, Mariana and American Samoa. You can use any source to confirm that. Just google poverty rates in USA per state from richest to poorest. Then google most religious state in USA. It follows like 6 & 7. As I told you Nigerians are some of the happiest people on Earth and that is mainly because of religion (like booze). The funny thing with all those countries in that top list of 'satisfaction' is that they have very few Christian adherents as a fraction of the whole population. So its fair to say that christianity doesnt have a significant influence on their satisfaction. They are probably more satisfied now (2014) because things were much worse before (relatively).
