The last time I checked, Jonathan who was supported mostly by the igbos won the south in 2015.

And there is even a SE/SS governors forum that can be used to lobby.

Even the recent PDP chairmanship, an igbo candidate from Rivers defeated a Yoruba opponent with a huge margin.

An igbo candidate will clear the SE, akwaibom, Rivers, crossriver, even all the way to delta.

I am not sure about Benin though .

In the SW, an igbo candidate may lose, but will pull in significant votes.
