Good day elders in the house, your boy needs some guidance. Got my certificate of sponsorship for my Tier 2 visa 2 days ago. I'm scheduled to resume June 4. I was originally scheduled to resume May 14 but someone in recruitment forgot to issue m the COS after it had long been assigned so resumption date was changed from may 14 to June 4. I wouldn't want this date to be moved forward again although the COS expires July 6. My challenge now is my English language proficiency requirement. I had issues with UKNARIC so I had to quickly put in for IELTS which I sat for yesterday and I'm very confident of the outcome. Results expected April 20. My question is, if I commence my Tier 2 visa applications after April 20, let's say April 23/25 will my visa be out well before the June 4 resumption date? Someone said its a gamble and advised I use priority but I'm a bit confused about the cost of priority for Tier 2, I'm getting different figures from different sites. https://uk.tlscontact.com/ng/lgv/page.php?pid=added_value_services#Priority-Visa £184 for non settlement visa within 5 working days. And £551 for settlement visa within 30 working days ( which sounds strange to me, I thought it's usually within 15 working days without priority) https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-priority-applications says £941(I'm on the shortage occupation list, but I suspect this doesn't apply to me cos the site says you can only use this service in the UK. In summary, what's the cost of priority for Tier 2, applying from Nigeria. And what are my chances of getting a reply well before June 4 if I apply after April 20 without priority. Thanks |

OmoBendel24:Thank you for your response, yes I have the first one addressed, I have gone back to my work place to secure a salary account, which I intend running for the next six months before applying and a pay slip gather to this effect for the next six months. As for what will bring me back home, that I submited in my first application, deed of landed property and documents of my current property. Now my concern is that of spending, my major spending point on my previous application was 350000 on ticketing return... That was the second issue raised by the ECO... Now my sponsor is saying, forget ticket, I will buy, cut your spending to light shopping say one hundred pounds....my question now is this, what papers does she need to provide and what are your views to all these.... Many thanks |

@ekpotek, Honorable my office hasn't started issuing payslips, will only my bank statement suffice?? And should I note this in my cover letter? Thanks |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 9:59am On Apr 09, 2018*. Modified: 10:57am On Apr 09, 2018 |
Giddy7000:Your issue is not about sponsorship or not. Applicants must know that the ECO will only consider sponsorship, if the applicant is underage (less than 18 years) or a sole dependent on the sponsor. Apart from landed properties, what else can make you return back to Nigeria if issued a visa. |

@ekpotek, bro please respond, thanks |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 11:27am On Apr 09, 2018 |
Aquaman84:You will need a letter from your company to attest that they are yet to issue your pay slips. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Aquaman84: 12:13pm On Apr 09, 2018*. Modified: 12:52pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
@ekpotek, OK So I should request from my company to simply give me a letter that I am yet to start receiving payslips right? I think i should start receiving payslips by next month, but my bank statement shows my new company name paying my salary monthly. I thought only bank statement could suffice, anyway I will try to get that |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 12:53pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
Aquaman84:The letter should also specify how much income tax you have paid till date. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Aquaman84: 1:05pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
@ekpotek, do I also need a payslip from my former place of work? Since I will be using 3months bank statement while I was still working there? Or I just need from my current company?? Which is the last 3 months including April?? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 1:57pm On Apr 09, 2018*. Modified: 2:14pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
Aquaman84:You only need pay slips from you current employer. If slips are not up to 6 months, then you are taking a risk. If I where you, I would wait for 6 months as this visit is not an emergency. The ECO is more interested in you present circumstances!!! |

Good day lovely people. Please I will need your advice on the best way to present my case to get a visitor visa to visit my wife and kid (both citizen).. I earn 130k monthly, some allowances once in a while like in Feb abt 200k allowance. For the past 6 months have been earning income of 400k to 700k every month my salary included. But this other income is from informal business like I invest in supply businesses with 3 different people whc have started to earn profit regularly into my account.. But my salary job is still 130k. My wife started working 3months ago in the uk with over £1600 per month. I intend to remain upto 1m in my account in the month am applying for the visa which is next month precisely. The 1m will include my salary leave allowance about 300k then from my other business about 300k estimate and will remain some amount from this month to add to next month so as to make about a million plus. This my other income I don't know how to present the evidence as it's just an informal kind of business. My bank statement is available, leave letter from my employer, my payslip, my wife's bank account and invitation letter. My other concern is that I have been refused twice. 1st one was on settlement visa as my wife do not meet the financial requirement then as we just risked it. The 2nd was for my masters and they said I won't come back cuz I will be staying with my wife while studying and be in same school with her. Also a letter from my workplace then said am allowed to re enter the UK anytime after my study. They sighted all that as reason why I won't come back. So now I want to use a promotion letter from my work place that also included that by September I would be made manager and will be entitled to lots of other things as evidence that I will come back? My leave letter that only shows I have 45days leave. My ongoing house construction work as evidence. What again? How do I present my other business as evidence of coming back too? They only left to UK since last month though after spending their holiday here.. I need advice on how to package all this to avoid refusal based on my current and past situation. Thanks. |

ekpotek:My parents, my job, and also my mother depends on me for support, all these I stated in my first application. Still on the issue of sponsorship, I want you to please clear this for me, my friend wants me to visit her, we have been friends for two Years, I am not the one initiating the visit, she is the one that wants me to come visit and she is saying she is ready to sponsor the trip. Now, how do you advice we go about this process.... Plan visit..... Xmas. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ekpotek: 6:25pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
Giddy7000:Think. If you’d stated the all above ties and the ECO still refused to issue you a visa. Why do you now think that your friend offering full sponsorship will change the mind of the ECO. The question to ask is have your personal circumstance changed significantly since your last application? To me No. Your personal circumstances only changes when you’re able to fund your trip solely and still have substantial amount left without sponsorship. My advise would be that you chilled until you have other major reason to visit the UK. Your friend full sponsorship does not count here, because it’s is not corporate sponsorship. |

AbdulKola:Sorry dude. But to be honest with you. Your chances of getting a visit visa is next to nothing. You have already established an immigration intent with UKVI. This is because you have been refuse a settlement spouse visa and student visa. In the eye of the ECO, you are just looking for a another way to immigrate to the UK. My advise is that you have to wait until your wife meet the minimum income requirement of £18600, and re apply for a spouse visa. Alternatively, consider the Surinder Singh route into the UK before UK exit from the European Union by March 2019. |

ekpotek:Settlement Visa was our target too as she is working now for the threshold and in the next six months we want to apply for settlement visa but only decided to do visiting visa meanwhile as her younger sibling kept complaining everyday by day to mind our child. Even to just take him from nursery is a big deal for that her sister this days. So we thought if I could come through visiting for now and take care of our son meanwhile while she focus on her job.. Alright so no go area on the visiting Visa then. Please can you explain more to me on the Surrinder Singh route but I think that one is a long short. But still let me hear how it can work for us. If not we will have to find a way to wait till we then apply for settlement visa again. Thanks |

sutelk:Use the tls contact one of 184 pounds. You will get it within 5 working days. You can either pay with your card and book on their site online or pay with your card when you get there. my husband didnt want to wait 15 days as he was tired of staying alone with family in Nigeria. I applied to join my hubby who's in a tier 2 with my baby. We got it within one week although it got to us two days plus the one week. Even with my adverse immigration history we were issued. You can check my previous post. I used ikeja tls. All the best. |
