The advantage of being an independent music artist is written all over this Runtown-Dilly brouhaha. Record labels in Nigeria just want to put money on you and cash out
They're not really interested in obeying contracts. Music artists too can be lawless sometimes, some no dey read contracts, they just wan blow

If he is weak, discreetly hasten his downfall: outdo, out charm, outsmart him at key moments. If he is very weak and ready to fall, let nature take its course.

Do not risk outshining a feeble superior it might appear cruel or spiteful.But if your master is firm in his position, yet you know yourself to be the more capable, bide your time and be patient. IT is the natural course of things that power eventually fades and weakens. Your master will fall someday, and if you play it right, you will outlive and someday outshine him.

things ppl fail to understand is that....u re not in runtowns shoes to knw wat he has bn facing....for him to alter such words, he must have bn pushed to d walls, one thing abt life is a master never wants to see his servants getting richer than him...That's d case of wizkid...kissdaniel...Tuface..and to tell u d truth,many artiste re not finding it easy.. This is business, take away sentiment of yes that's the person who brought u up, so this is how u want to repay!!!...my friends go closer to them and knw what they re passing true.. imagine with ur talents u still split money 70/30....for how long?

HE IS STILL WITH MADE MEN MUSIC UNTIL HIS CONTRACT ELAPSE.

A CONTRACT IS A CONTRACT.

ALL THIS ONE RUNTOWN IS DOING IS JUST TRYING TO PROVOKE DILLY INTO A TRAP.

DILLY SHOULD STAY CALM, RUNTOWN AND HIS STAFF WILL RUN AROUND TOWN AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, COURT BAILIFF WILL ENSURE ERIC MANY GET THEIR 70% CUT.

EVEN IF IT MEANS CONFISCATING ALL RUNTOWN PROPERTY AND FREEZING HIS ACCOUNT.

RUNTOWN IS MAD.

there is a yoruba adage thats says you never know a person attitude until he is wealthy.and this clearing shows the situation here.
this management believe in you to invest in you and you are running your mouth now.what goes around comes around.

Both parties have the blame.
Dilly is a typical record label hustler who doesn't have the brain or the muscle that it demands, just some fast buck.
Hence, he invests in just one artists hoping to sign on and invest on more artists on the re-up. That sounds like a good plan save for the fact that reality struck. Runtown seeing his the ace, realises he's the soul of the label and the human nature kicks in and he starts getting cocky and the contracts starts losing contact with em. (Ask BankyW with wizkid or Emoney with Harrysong or YSG with Vector, players change but the game remains the same).

Moral of the story, the artist and label wars won't stop as long as the hungry artist keep signing contacts blindly and labels don't have structures and good lawyers. Period.

Can't blame Dilly cos we talking numbers and his investment is getting wiser than him but to resort to violence is just a no-no, get a lawyer to do it right.

was he forced to agree to the contract. If it like, let it be 99/1 for 30 years, as long as u agree to d contract, it means it's okay with u.
